A fierce battle between forces loyal to the rebel Afghan commander Badshah Khan and American forces has resulted in 15 Americans dead while 12 rebels including the Badshah eldest son Jilani Zardan died in the attack.

According to the information received from the scene, the conflict between the two ignited when the American forces were preparing to take over the Wazi check post. The forces loyal to Badshah Khan opened fire on the coalition troops catching them off guard. Badshah Khan’s other son Abdul Wali was also injured while Badshah Khan managed to escape from the scene. According to sources four helicopters left for the scene from Batgaram airbase immediately and heavy bombing is expected. According to news the check post is still under Badshah Khan’s forces and dead bodies are lying on the road side.
