首都を脱出している。

い。「バンパーをぶつけあいながら逃げる車の列」
という表現に私はハリウッド映画のカタストロフシーンを
思い浮かべる）

Heavy Gun Fire Heard Through Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Heavy machine-gun fire reverberated through the center of Baghdad late Friday and a massive explosion shook buildings as U.S. forces tightened their grip around the Iraqi capital.

Flashes from what appeared to be machine guns could be seen from the southern end of the presidential Old Palace complex on the west bank of the Tigris River.

As U.S. troops seized the international airport west of the city, thousands of residents fled the capital in a stream of bumper-to-bumper vehicles Friday.
