Operation to separate twins successful

Doctors who operated on two-year-old Egyptian twins joined at the head have said the procedure to separate them went smoothly and that the boys are in a stable condition. Surgeons at the Children's Medical Centre of Dallas were involved in the operation, which lasted around 27 hours. A spokesman for the team said they were satisfied with the outcome so far: "A day and a half long surgery to separate the conjoined twin, Ahmed and Mohamed Ibrahim, has been successfully completed. The two boys have passed another milestone in their long journey towards independence."

However the boys are not yet out of danger. And they face years of reconstructive surgery to repair the places where the skulls had been fused together. But their new lives have nonetheless begun in some hope.

日本語のニュースは見つけられなかったけど、私の周りのアラブ、欧州のテレビ局がこの手術にえらく注目している。エジプトの罪もなく変形として生れ落ちた子供に、アメリカが助ける。っとわたしには、写って見えてしかたない。それよりも、イスラエルに対して、何もアクションをとらないことだけで、パレスチナを助けるんですが。鬼畜米国を拭い去りたかったら、イスラエルと手を切ることなんです。
