"A patrol of Landrover convey of Danish forces accompanied by 2 Japanese armoured vehicles, for protection, were attacked by Iraqi resistance in Safwan city south of Iraq, at 8:10 PM on Saturday local time.

Four Danish soldiers were killed and 2 others were injured and one was taken a prisoner.

Additionally, one Japanese soldier was injured.

Eye witness said that the Japanese armed vehicles were the first to flee the area when the attacked started.
They rushed toward the east then to north to rejoin the convey that left its dead and losses behind."
