・バグダッド南方のAl-Mahmoudiah地区で，レジスタンスが
　イギリス軍の基地をカチューシャロケットとRPJ7ロケットを使用して攻撃。
　イギリス兵2名が死亡。ランドローバー1台が破壊され，別の乗り物が軽い損害を受ける。

　Abu Ghraibでアメリカ軍のコンボイをレジスタンスが路上爆弾を使って攻撃。
　海兵隊4名が死亡。ジープが破壊される。
　また，同地区では別の攻撃により海兵隊2名が死亡。補給部隊のトレーラーが破壊されている。

　バグダッド中心部ハイファ通りでの戦いで，アメリカ兵4名と
　新イラク軍の兵士6名が死亡。ブラッドレイが破壊される。

　イラク警察の関係者によると，サマラで2台のオペルに乗った武装グループによって
　アメリカ兵が誘拐されたとのこと。詳細については不明。

　バグダッド北方の高速道路で，CIA諜報員を乗せたGMCとそれを護衛する
　アメリカ軍のジープをレジスタンスが攻撃。
　GMC，ジープともに破壊され，CIA諜報員3名とアメリカ兵4名が死亡。

　バグダッド南西のAl-Radwaniah地区でアメリカ軍のコンボイが
　レジスタンスの攻撃を受ける。海兵隊2名が死亡。
　また，Al-Latifiah地区でもコンボイが攻撃されており海兵隊1名が死亡。２名が負傷している。
　装甲車1両が破壊されている。

　バグダッド南方のAl-Dawrah,地区のArab Al-Ghabour地区で，
　アメリカ軍のコンボイがレジスタンスの攻撃を受ける。
　アメリカ兵3名が死亡。ジープが破壊される。

Yesterday In Iraq: US Soldier Captured; Havoc On Haifa Street

An American soldier was abducted in Samaara and several military vehicles were destroyed as fighting continued to rage across Iraq on Tuesday, costing the occupying forces the lives of 22 Americans, 2 Brits, and 6 collaborating Iraqis, accorgin to Mafkarat al-Islam.

Here are details of just a few of the attacks yesterday, in brief:

Two Brits Killed, Land Rover Destroyed In Al-Mahmoudiah

Resistance fighters attacked the British base in Al-Mahmoudiah, south of Baghdad Tuesday, firing Katyosha and RPJ 7 rockets. Two Brits were killed and a Land Rover vehicle was destroyed, while another vehicle was lightly damaged.

6 Marines Killed In Two Separate Attacks In Abu Ghraib

An explosive device was detonated by as an American convoy was passing by on the old street in the Abu Ghraib area of Baghdad Tuesday this morning. Four Marines were killed in this attack and a jeep was destroyed as well. Shortly following, a supply trailer was hit in another attack in the same area that resulted in two other marines killed.

Havoc Rages On Haifa Street

Fierce fighting erupted between resistance fighters and an American-Iraqi joint unit on Haifa Street around 10 AM this morning. Four American soldiers, six Iraqi collaborators were killed and a Bradley armored vehicle was also destroyed.

Iraqi Police Confirmed The Abduction Of An American Soldier In Samaara

According to Iraqi police, a group of armed men driving two Opel vehicles carried out the mission that resulted in the abduction of an American soldier earlier today. No further details were released.

Four American Soldiers, Three Intelligence Operatives Killed In Northern Baghdad

Tuesday morning Resistance fighters attacked a GMC vehicle that was being accompanied by an armored jeep for security on the expressway in northern Baghdad. Both the GMC and the jeep were destroyed, 4 American soldiers and 3 Intelligence operatives were killed.

5 US Casualties In Al-Latifiah, Armored Vehicle Destroyed In Al-Radwaniah

Al-Latifiah continued to be a hot spot yesterday as two Marines were killed when their convoy was attacked at about 8 AM. Another marine was killed and two others were wounded in an attack on a convoy at 12:30 in the afternoon in Al-Radwaniah.

Three Killed, Jeep Destroyed In Southern Baghdad

An American convoy was attacked around 10:30 Tuesday morning in Arab Al-Ghabour area of Al-Dawrah, south of Baghdad. 3 American soldiers were killed and a jeep was destroyed.

With over 100 attacks occurring throughout Iraq, it is clear that the resistance is grassroots and widespread, which represents a significant challenge for US occupation forces in their efforts to bring the population under US control.(JUS)
