These documents are absolutely undeniable and they have been studied by various reputable researchers, historians and journalists. This is not a wild internet conspiracy theory, as some may try to claim. The historic reality is that George Bush Sr's father, Prescott Bush, was a Wall Street banker whose job at the Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) bank in New York City, was to coordinate the massive flow of American investments into Germany during the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. Bush was directly responsible for overseeing and personally managing these U.S. investments. The American investers included fascist-leaning multimillionaires, like Averell Harriman, the Rockefellers and others. Some of these bankers and industrialists supported the fascist American Liberty League, that plotted in the early 1930s to overthrow FDR in a coup that was thwarted by a Marine Corps General, named Smedley Butler, who blew the whistle when they tried to recruit him for the job. But, I digress, that is yet another fascinating piece of history, dismissed no doubt by many as yet another so called "conspiracy theory." Thanks to Prescott Bush and BBH, American investments were instrumental in supporting Hitler's rise to power. This American financing was incredibly useful in helping to build the Nazi Party. (BBH continues to exist to this day and it is still dabbling in politics, having reliably donated to George W. Bush's political campaigns.) Prescott is most closely linked to the slaves of Auschwitz through Fritz Thyssen. Thyssen was no bit player, he was the owner of Germany's industrial coal/steel empire that relied on the slaves at Auschwitz. Thysssen's financial support had been instrumental in launching Hitler and the Nazi Party into power. For instance, he financed the huge Nazi Party headquarters building and he rallied other Germany industrialists and bankers to support Hitler and the fledgling Nazi Party when it was just a fringe party. He later wrote a book called "I Paid Hitler." The fact that the Bush family fortune is intricately linked with the Thyssen family fortune is significant. This fact, and the others mentioned here, should be part of the general public's common knowledge about the war. However, it seems that the corporate media does not care to report this history. Not only is the Bush family connection to Auschwitz ignored (or covered up), most of yesterday's corporate news coverage about Auschwitz did not even mention any of the profit-making corporations that used the slaves of Auschwitz. Many of the corporations that profited from the holocaust still exist. In fact, these companies are still considered to be among the powerhouses of the economies in western democracies. Perhaps then it is not surprising that the corporate media somehow neglects to mention the role that these corporations played in creating and sustaining the Nazi party and in profiting from their slave labour camps, like Auschwitz. Auschwitz was conveniently (not just coincidentally) located right next to Europe's richest coal deposits. Prescott Bush, his U.S. clients, the Thyssen coal/steel monopoly and the I.G. Farben chemical/weapons cartel clearly understood the significance of Auschwitz's geographic location. So should we. The world's biggest internet search engine, Google, has a "news" function that "continuously crawls" online news sources. It "presents information culled from approximately 4,500 news sources worldwide." A Google News search for "Prescott Bush" AND Auschwitz, did not yield even a single story, for yesterday or for any previous day. Try it yourself: Similarly, Google found no news references containing "Brown Brothers Harriman" AND Auschwitz: So what if Bush laundered billions in Nazi loot after the war? After the war, Bush kept working for the same multimillionaires who he had helped finance Hitler's rise to power. Prescott's new job was to coordinate the flow of all that money back from investments in Germany and into the pockets of that powerful network of American entrepreneurs. The Nazi project had been very lucrative for these businessmen and Bush was the right man to continue the whole dirty enterprise. So, Bush helped them to launder billions of dollars in Nazi loot back into America through the Union Banking Corporation. It was a dirty job, but somebody had to do it. Some will argue that if this hadn't been done by Prescott Bush, it would have been done by someone else. That's true. However, shouldn't the media at least provide this information to the public? Wouldn't people be interested to learn about this history? [Are we condemned to repeat history if we don't learn from it? Duh! -CR] Neither is there a single news story found by Google News that mentions "Union Banking" AND Auschwitz: The Plot thickens Because people might have interpreted their profitable investments in Nazism as an ever-so-slightly treasonous operation, Bush and his paymasters used the intrepid Dulles brothers to cover their tracks. After the war, Allen and John Foster Dulles (who had been Wall Street's top lawyers -- with Sullivan and Cromwell -- representing Nazi commercial interests in America during WWII) ever-so-conveniently became the top dogs in the CIA and U.S. State Department, respectively. From there, they masterminded many a coup and regime change as well as a whole series of mass murders spanning the globe. To do this work, they often relied upon the very same Nazi geniuses who they had helped rescue from prosecution in Germany after the war. Whoever said crime doesn't pay never heard about the Dulles boys, or Prescott Bush. George W. Bush but everybody makes some little mistakes in their life. It's better to forgive and forget. They will likely also argue that we shouldn't hold poor George W. accountable for the sins of his father or his father's father. Therefore, the general public, they might argue, doesn't need to know about any of this. Yesterday (January 27, 2005) was the 60th anniversary of the Soviet army's liberation of Auschwitz. In the blitz of corporate media coverage around that great event, there seems to have been not a single mention whatsoever of how the Bush family fortune is linked to slave labour at that Nazi concentration camp. In fact, there has been precious little mention of this fact in the mainstream media, at any previous time.
Prescott Bush was reputedly a swell guy, he just happened to focus his early career on coordinating U.S. investments in Nazism and Hitler. He worked hard at managing U.S. investments into the very German companies that built the Nazi war machine, like their notorious petrochemical/weapons monopoly, I.G. Farben.

In 1942, under The Trading with the Enemy Act, the Roosevelt government confiscated all of the assets of Thyssen's front companies in America, including the Union Banking Corp (UBC), and various other Bush-linked corporations. (However, after the war, in 1951, one and a half million dollars worth of UBC shares were returned to Bush. This cash helped Prescott become a Senator.) [Note surprising that Bush's buddies tried to overthrow Roosevelt as mentioned above... like they assassinated JFK and Robert Kennedy. - CR]

Some will argue that George W. Bush comes from a prestigious and hard-working American family. They will deny all of the historical facts about the family's links to Nazism. They will get away with this denial of reality because they, like most others (thanks largely to the corporate media's neglect/cover up) do not know anything about this history. If they are forced to acknowledge the reality of this history, they will likely say, yes it's true that George W. did inherit a family legacy of profiting from Auschwitz and, yes, his grandfather laundered billions in Nazi loot,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Some people do not want the truth to come out about his family's close ties to building Nazism and profiting from slave labour camps like Auschwitz. If you don't want to know anything about this history, that's fine. No one should force you to learn about it.
