Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Haqlaniyah.

Resistance bomb leaves one US soldier dead in al-Haqlaniyah Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet force patrol on the main road north of al-Haqlaniyah, west of Baghdad at 4:30pm Monday afternoon local time. A source in the Iraqi puppet forces told Mafkarat al-Islam that the explosion destroyed one Humvee and killed one US soldier and wounded four more.

Ar-Ramadi.


Resistance martyrdom car bomber blasts US column near al-Warrar base Monday night.

In a bulletin posted at 7:22pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a car bomb had exploded by a US column by the al-Warrar bridge west of ar-Ramadi, some 300 meters from the US base in the area.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the city reported that a US column was preparing to enter the base when an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car into the US forces, setting off a powerful blast that totally destroyed two Humvees, killing all those aboard.

The correspondent reported that US troops were at the time of writing encircling the area and had imposed a curfew on the area around the attack site.

Three US troops killed in Resistance roadside bombing Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded as a US armored column was passing on 20 Street in the middle of ar-Ramadi at about 3pm Monday afternoon local time. Local shopkeepers along the road told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one US armored vehicle and killed three American troops and wounded one more.

Ar-Rutbah.


Seven US troops killed in Monday morning bomb attack near Jordanian border in ar-Rutbah.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the ash-Shurtah neighborhood in the middle of ar-Rutbah at 8am Monday morning, destroying a Zil troop transport vehicle and killing seven American soldiers instantly, according to witnesses who spoke to Mafkarat al-Islam. Sergeant Khalid Ahmad of the puppet border police command confirmed that the blast destroyed a troop transport, killing all aboard, since the blast was “very powerful.”

US forces admitted that only two American troops had been killed, and claimed that the transport had only been disabled, not destroyed. But sources in the puppet border police as well as eyewitnesses insisted to Maftarat al-Islam that the vehicle was totally destroyed and seven men, all those who had been inside, were killed.

Baghdad.


Resistance martyrdom bomber kills six US troops in Abu Ghurayb late Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove a pickup loaded with explosives into a column of US Humvees in az-Zaydan village in the Abu Ghurayb area and blasted into two of the American vehicles that were traveling next to each other in the column. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the explosion destroyed both Humvees and killed more than six American soldiers. Several other US troops were wounded.

American forces surrounded the area and closed roads leading to the area. Two US helicopters landed shortly afterward to evacuate the bodies of the dead and wounded.

Resistance bomb in ar-Ridwaniyah Sunday leaves five US troops dead.

A high-explosive Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a column of several Humvees on the main road in the city of ar-Ridwaniyah, west of Baghdad near the Presidential Palace on Sunday. A source in the local puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one Humvee and killed five US troops and mortally wounded another. The Abu Bakr Salafi Brigades issued a communiqu in which they took responsibility for the attack.

US reported planning to build biggest prison in the “Middle East” in occupied Iraq.

The President of the Association of Victims of the American occupation in Iraq disclosed that the US occupation authorities are planning to build a massive prison in Iraq.

The President of the Association, ‘Ali Nahi said that the prison was to be in a remote part of Dhi Qar province in the south of the country and that it is to be the largest of its kind in the so-called “Middle East” region.

According to a report carried by the Egyptian al-Wafd newspaper, Nahi said that the number of prisons in Iraq had greatly increased under the US occupation.

Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ denounces continued US blockade of al-Hadithah, al-Qa’im, and al-Haqlaniyah.

The Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ Scholars issued a statement on Monday denouncing the US siege of the Iraqi cities of al-Hadithah, al-Qa’im, al-Haqlaniyah, in al-Anbar Province that has been going on for more than one week. During this period, the statement says, the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ has been surprised at the silence with which international public opinion has received these latest very serious American offenses.

The statement issued by the highest Sunni religious authority in Iraq said that the humanitarian situation and civil services in the cities have deteriorated badly, after US forces cut off all water and electricity to the city of al-Haqlaniyah ミ whose population the Americans have also prevented from leaving the beleaguered city.

The statement noted that the city is virtually paralyzed with markets and schools closed. It also said that mosques have not escaped the Americans’ attacks, with many having had their doors smashed and their belongings ransacked. Many people have been arrested and no explanation for why has been forthcoming.

The Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ condemned the American sieges imposed on the cities and stressed that such barbarous behavior would only increase the anger of the Iraqi people.

US occupation press office issues list of official occupation force numbers.

The US military’s information office in occupied Iraq issued a statement on Monday, a copy of which was obtained by the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam, in which the names of occupying countries and the number of men they officially have in their troop contingents were listed. The official information as presented in the American statement is as follows:

United States: 150,000 men
Britain: 8,000 men.
South Korea: 3,600 men.
Italy: 3,085 men.
Poland: 1,700 men.
Ukraine: 1,600 men.
Georgia: 898 men.
Romania: 730 men.
Japan: 550 men.
Denmark: 496 men.
Bulgaria: 450 men.
Australia: 400 men.

The statement also said that the number of men in those contingents had been reduced as a result of the escalation of Resistance attacks. The Markarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the American statement indicated that a number of countries had withdrawn men from their contingents because “there was no longer any need for them,” but noted that the figures in the list were the officially stated numbers.

Ba‘qubah.

Four US troops reported killed in Ba‘qubah bombing.

In a dispatch posted at 10: am Monday, Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported a member of the puppet police ミ who asked to remain anonymous ミ as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in the Kan‘an area, 4km west of Ba‘qubah, killing four US troops and seriously wounding three more.

Salah ad-Din Province.

At-Tarimiyah.

Five US troops killed, five wounded in late morning bombing in at-Tarimiyah.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US patrol that was halted by the side of a road in the ash-Shatt area east of at-Tarimiyah (which is just north of Baghdad) exploded at 11:30am local time Monday morning. The blast destroyed on Humvee and disabled a second.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Captain Sajjad ‘Ali of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” as confirming that five US troops were killed in the explosion and another five wounded, three of them extremely seriously.

Bayji.

Resistance fighters attack US convoy in Bayji Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 5:47pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a column of US military trucks loaded with equipment and provisions for US occupation troops on the main road in the city of Bayji, north of Baghdad. Local residents who witnessed the attack reported that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades, attacked the convoy, setting two US trucks ablaze and killing four soldiers.

Babil Province.

Al-Hillah.

Resistance sharpshooter kills Polish soldier in al-Hillah Monday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter shot and killed a Polish invader soldier in the middle of al-Hillah, south of Baghdad on Monday morning. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent in the city that a group of Polish troops were standing near an ‘Iraquna mobile telephone communications center when the sharpshooter shot one of the Poles in the neck, killing him instantly. Polish troops and Iraqi puppet forces encircled the area after the attack and began searching tall buildings in the area, but they found nothing pertinent.

Al-Iskandariyah.

Resistance bombing kills four US troops Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of four US Humvees in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood in northern al-Iskandariyah at 4pm local time Monday afternoon. Residents of the city who witnessed the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast on the main street in the neighborhood that leads to the center of al-Iskandariyah, destroyed one Humvee and killed four US troops.

Ninwa Province.

Resistance martyrdom car bomber blows up US checkpoint in Mosul early Monday.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter slammed an explosives-laden car into a US checkpoint in the al-Ba‘‘aj area west of Mosul at 7am Monday morning. Witnesses who were near the checkpoint at the time told Mafkarat al-Islam that the martyrdom fighter was driving a white Toyota and blasted into the American checkpoint, detonating himself and the car amidst the US troops and vehicles. The witnesses said that “a large number” of US personnel were left dead or wounded. US forces quickly closed off the area and prevented anyone from approaching. While it was impossible to obtain precise information on US losses, witnesses said that the checkpoint was destroyed by the blast.

Resistance bombards US base in Mosul Monday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired eight medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US al-Ghazlani base in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul at 3pm Monday afternoon. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that eight violent explosions shook the US base, followed by a number of secondary blasts. The explosions sent flame and smoke rising into the sky over the occupied American facility.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance bombards US base in Tall ‘Afar.

In a dispatch posted at 7:25pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven mortar rounds into the US base in Tall ‘Afar. The correspondent in the city reported First Lieutenant Hasan Sulayman of the puppet forces as saying that the bombardment killed two US troops and wounded five more.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that after the attack, plumes of dense black smoke rose over the northern part of the base and two helicopters prowled around the area around the base for about 15 minutes. US forces made no announcement regarding losses or casualties, in keeping with their standard practice of blacking out all such information.

Al-Basrah Province.

Al-Basrah.

Early Monday bomb leaves a reported three British troops dead.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a column of several British military vehicles on a routine daily patrol on the road leading to the ar-Rashi area of the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah at about 7am Monday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast destroyed one British Hino vehicle and killed or wounded four British troops. An official spokesman for the British Ministry of Defence announced officially in Baghdad that the attack took place but admitted only that one British soldier had been killed. Official Iraqi puppet sources and eyewitnesses said that three British troops were killed in the blast and one wounded.

Puppet authorities resume mass arrests of Sunni leaders in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 9:25pm Mecca time Monday night, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Basrah reported that after a 14-hour lull in the wave of mass arrests by the puppet regime of leaders of the Sunni community in al-Basrah, the raids resumed on Monday, and the number of those arrested rose to 52.
