Al-Fallujah.
Roadside bomb blasts US patrol in as-Saqlawiyah area Saturday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded on the highway near the as-Saqlawiyah area north of al-Fallujah, about 50km west of Baghdad, at 3pm local time Saturday afternoon.
Residents of as-Saqlawiyah told the al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of the highway north of al-Fallujah blew up as a US patrol drove by on its way south into the city. The witnesses said that the blast destroyed one US Humvee, killing or wounding five American troops.

Resistance martyrdom car bomber blasts US column near Hit Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance martyrdom bomber drove an explosives-packed car into a US column on the main road near the syrup plant in Hit.
Residents of al-Ma‘murah village west of Hit told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a Martyrdom fighter drove blasted his car into an American column, completely destroying one Humvee and killing four US troops who were aboard it.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance bombards US as-Saqr base near al-Habbaniyah Saturday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired four medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US base known as “as-Saqr” in al-Habbaniyah, west of Baghdad at 10am local time Saturday morning.
Residents of al-Fallahat village told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that four violent explosions shook the US base as a result of the barrage, setting fires and sending smoke billowing into the sky.

Resistance bomb blasts US armored column early Saturday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the main road linking al-‘Ubadi with al-Karabila, east of the city of al-Qa’im that lies near the Iraqi-Syrian border at 8am local time Saturday morning.
Residents of al-‘Ubaydi told the al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was planted by the side of the road leading to al-Karabilah blew up near the western entrance to al-‘Ubaydi at the moment that a column of five US armored vehicles was passing. The blast set one US armored vehicle ablaze, killing or wounding the members of its five-man crew.
Ar-Rutbah.
Resistance shoots down US helicopter near Jordanian border early Saturday.
In a report posted at 12:35pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US helicopter over the sheep market area of the Iraqi city of ar-Rutbah, which lies near the Jordanian border, on Saturday.
The ar-Rutbah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the Resistance fired a rocket at the helicopter causing it to fall to the ground and crash. Sources in the puppet “Iraqi border guards” confirmed that an American helicopter had been shot down and its crew killed.
The correspondent reported that at the time of writing US forces were still surrounding the city’s commercial area, having sealed all roads to and from the area since 6am in an effort to keep journalists and local people away from the crash site.
Baghdad.
Religious leaders order parents, guardians not to let children out unsupervised for fear of American molestation or abuse as human shields.
The Council of Islamic Legal Rulings in al-Anbar Province issued a ruling that was posted on mosques in the area forbidding parents to allow their children into the street alone from today onward. The Islamic religious authority said that parents could let their children out only if they exercise supervision over them or allow them out near the doors of their houses so that they would be able to run home before US troops can approach them.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi reported that the Council issued its statement in response to the growing number of incidents of sexual attacks on children in rural areas, particularly by US soldiers.
US forces have also used Iraqi children as human shields to protect them from Resistance attacks when they invade towns and villages ﾐ a practice that has dramatically increased lately in the cities of ar-Ramadi, Hit, al-Khalidiyah, and al-Qa’im.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Mosul, meanwhile, reported that the Mufti (Islamic Jurisconsult) for the city issued the same ruling Friday night.
Among Iraq’s Shi‘i population, the preacher representing the Muqtada as-Sadr movement, Shaykh Muhammad Husayn al-‘Amidi, made the same call in his Friday sermon. Shaykh al-‘Amidi said: “it is shocking and shameful that the occupation forces are taking the children of Iraq as easy playthings and use them as human shields to ward off the blows of the Resistance.”
Shaykh al-‘Amidi went on: “we call on guardians of children not to send their children out of the house if they want to protect them. The massacre in Baghdad al-Jadidah should be a sufficient example for guardians of what can happen otherwise to children.”
The same has happened in Diyala Province, northeast of Baghdad, where numerous religious leaders held an emergency meeting of directors of schools and kindergartens and parents and told them not to let the children in their care out into the street for fear that they would be used as human shields or be molested by US soldiers.
In Baghdad the puppet so-called “ministry of human rights” confirmed that there were at least 17 cases of sexual molestation of children coming home from school by occupation soldiers in June. The puppet “ministry” said that seven of the victims were little girls between the ages of eight and ten. The source in the puppet “ministry” refused to specify the locations where the attacks occurred, saying only that they were in the east and south of Baghdad. Mafkarat al-Islam published similar reports more than two months ago concerning US soldiers molesting Iraqi children and using them as human shields.
Resistance attacks joint US-Iraqi puppet column in al-Karradah early Saturday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a double attack on a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol in the al-Karradah district of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Baghdad reported witnesses as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded as the joint patrol passed by on the road into al-Karradah, destroying one vehicle belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces and damaging a US Humvee. Three Iraqi puppet troops were killed and another wounded. Five American soldiers were also wounded in that bombing.
About 10 minutes after the bomb blast, Iraqi Resistance forces fired two 82mm mortar rounds into the US forces, destroying one more Iraqi puppet vehicle and killing or wounding four Iraqi puppet troops.
At the time of reporting, the correspondent noted that US and Iraqi puppet forces were surrounding the entire district of al-Karradah, preventing local people and journalists from approaching the attack scene.
Midday Resistance rocket barrage destroys official guest house in “green zone.”
In a bulletin posted at 12:10pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces a short while earlier had mounted a rocket attack on the Republican Palace zone in Baghdad ﾐ the area known to the invaders as the “green zone” where the occupation and its Iraqi stooges have their headquarters.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the area reported that four powerful Grad rockets slammed into the “green zone” totally destroying the guest house in the compound which is regularly used to host leaders and government officials from other countries and other such supporters of the American occupation and the puppet regime.
The correspondent was unable to assess the extent or nature of losses suffered by the occupation and its stooges, but a source in the “green zone” confirmed to the correspondent that three of the rockets had hit the guest house, completely demolishing it.
Resistance bomb attack leaves four Badr Brigade gunmen dead.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a car carrying members of the Shi‘i chauvinist collaborationist Badr Brigades as it came out of the house of Vice President Tariq ‘Aziz in Baghdad’s al-Jadiriyah area on Saturday. After taking part along with US troops in the invasion of Iraq in the spring of 2003, the Badr Brigades occupied Tariq ‘Aziz’s house and turned it into their headquarters.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb killed four Badr Brigade gunmen. One of them was believed to be a leader in the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) the parent organization of the Badr Brigades which is led by ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim, a top collaborator with US forces.
After the blast, American troops and Iraqi puppet police surrounded the scene of the attack but their searches failed to yield them any sign of the Resistance attackers. Ambulances took the bodies of the dead to one of Baghdad’s private hospitals.
US contractors siphoned off hundreds of millions of dollars of “aid” for Iraq.
The American “inspector general for the reconstruction of Iraq” Stuart Bowen has announced that Americans and contractors have made off with millions of dollars in funds set aside for “aid” in the American-led effort to “rebuild Iraq.”
Agence France Presse (AFP) as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported an official US government report as saying that American companies that signed contracts to “rebuild” the infrastructure of Iraq did not expect the “escalation of violence” ﾐ by which they mean the Iraqi Resistance ﾐ to its present extent and therefore spent more than US$760 million to provide security for themselves.

Resistance ambushes US-Iraqi joint patrol early Saturday afternoon.
Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol in the al-Jubayriyah neighborhood in the middle of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad at 2pm local time Saturday afternoon.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Samarra’ reported that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including rocket-propelled grenades and BKC machine guns, attacked a joint patrol, sparking a firefight that lasted about 10 minutes and left one US Humvee and one personnel carrier belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces destroyed.
Eyewitnesses reported that two US troops were killed and four more wounded and that four Iraqi puppet troops were killed and three more of them were injured. One Resistance fighter was also killed and two more Resistance men wounded in the engagement, the witnesses said.
Al-Mushahadah.
Resistance carries out double attack on US column.
In a dispatch posted at 9:50am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a double attack on a US column on the highway in the al-Mushahadah area just northwest of Baghdad.
Residents of al-Mushahadah told the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the column on a farm road in the area that leads to the main highway in al-Mushahadah. The Resistance fighters destroyed one Humvee, killing two US soldiers and wounding three more in that engagement. Two Iraqi Resistance fighters were wounded but managed to withdraw from the area.
US forces then encircled the area and launched raids and searches in the area, looking for the Resistance fighters, but found nothing.
After they concluded their searches and as the column was making its way along the main road, a Resistance bomb that was planted by the side of the highway exploded, setting one Humvee on fire and killing another American soldier and wounding three more.
Resistance mounts second attack in al-Mushahadah area: one American reported killed.
In a second pair of attacks in the same area later on Saturday Quds Press reported witnesses as telling their correspondent in al-Mushahadah that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the area late Saturday morning, destroying one Humvee and killing one US soldier and seriously wounding two more. American forces immediately closed off the area and helicopters could be seen landing to evacuate the dead and wounded.
At that time, Quds Press reported, a second explosion took place by the Nasr Company for Mechanical Industry, disabling an American armored vehicle and seriously wounding three of its crewmen. All of them were evacuated to hospital as US forces closed off the area.

Three US troops reported killed in roadside bombing south of Mosul Saturday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US armored column in the Tall ar-Rumman area south of Mosul at 2pm local time Saturday afternoon.
Residents of Tall ar-Rumman told the Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that an explosives-packed car that was parked by the side of the highway to the center of Mosul blew up by the US column, completely destroying one American vehicle and killing three US troops and wounding two more.

Resistance bomb blasts US tank outside Tall ‘Afar midday Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:56pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American tank column on the main road 8km from the eastern entrance to the city of Tall ‘Afar around midday. Rresidents of the city told the Mosul correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast destroyed one American tank, killing or wounding its five-man crew.

Resistance bombards Italian occupation base in an-Nasiriyah Saturday afternoon.
Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a mortar attack on Italian occupation forces in an-Nasiriyah about 375km south of Baghad at 4pm local time Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses told the an-Nasiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that four 82mm mortar rounds blasted into the Italian occupation headquarters in the Suq ash-Shuyukh area of the city, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

British soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing of British patrol Saturday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a British military patrol on the al-Basrah ﾐ az- Zubayr Road Saturday morning.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafakrat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the blast destroyed one British Jeep, killing a soldier who was aboard it and wounding another.
Two mercenaries killed in Resistance bomb attack in al-Basrah Saturday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb planted by the side of a road in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah exploded by a convoy of vehicles belonging to the British consulate on Saturday, a spokesman for the British consulate announced. In a report monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, Reuters said that British spokesperson Karen McLuskie said that the bomb exploded at 9:30am local time when the convoy was on a street in the southwest of the city.
Two security guards working for the British mercenary security company Control Risks Group, were killed in the attack, McLuskie said. Their nationalities were not disclosed.
Body of Sunni kidnap victim found dead in al-Basrah.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Basrah on Saturday that the body of Yusuf ‘Aqab as-Sa‘dun, a Sunni resident of al-Basrah, had been found. Prior to his death, as-Sa‘dun was kidnapped by persons suspected of links with the Shi‘i chauvinist Badr Brigade.
