Witnesses see 11 wrecked US military vehicles being hauled out of al-Qa’im battlezone.

In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafakrat al-Islam reported that eyewitnesses in the city of al-Qa’im, now under attack by US forces since Saturday, reported seeing 11 totally wrecked US military vehicles being hauled away on huge American transport trucks.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the al-Baydah area as saying that the US vehicles showed signs of being burned and were totally destroyed.

The witnesses added that the vehicles consisted of Humvees and Abrams tanks and that the transports were surrounded by a massive guard as it headed east towards Hit where the Americans have their military vehicle “graveyard.”

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds at the joint US-Iraqi puppet military headquarters in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, at 12 noon local time Wednesday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported eyewitnesses as saying that the regional government building, which US and Iraqi puppet forces have taken over and turned into their headquarters was hit by two heavy mortar rounds. Clouds of smoke rose over the facility after the barrage.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol midday Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol east of al-Fallujah at 12:30pm local time Wednesday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to the joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp blew up, disabling one Humvee and wounding three American troops, one of them seriously.

Ar-Ramadi.

US soldier reported killed by Resistance bomb early Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Iskan area of ar-Ramadi at 7am local time Wednesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a passing American patrol, killing one US soldier and wounding a second.

Resistance bombards two US headquarters in ar-Ramadi early Wednesday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded two headquarters of US forces in ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad at 6am Wednesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eye witnesses who live in ar-Ramadi as saying that the Resistance fired six mortar rounds into the US al-Warrar Base located in an American-occupied presidential palace west of the city.

In a second incident, residents of al-Bu Fahd east of ar-Ramadi reported that Resistance forces had bombarded the US military headquarters set up in the Agricultural College of al-Anbar University with four mortar rounds.

Baghdad.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy north of Baghdad killing truck driver.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US convoy on the highway north of the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in at-Taji reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road north of the town had blown up by a column of three American Humvees and several US trucks hauling American equipment. The explosion set fire to one of the trucks, killing its driver who was working for the US forces.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet troops Wednesday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop” detachment in the ash-Sha‘b district of northeastern Baghdad at 7:30am local time Wednesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ash-Sha‘b who witnessed the attack as saying that the Iraqi Resistance used remote control to detonate an explosives-laden car parked by the side of the road when the patrol passed by. The explosion completely destroyed one of the puppet Shock Troops’ vehicles, killing five of the troops and wounding four more people, two of them civilians, the witnesses said.

US-installed regime arrests 36 prominent Sunni businessmen, claiming they were funding the Iraqi Resistance.

The General Director of the League of Iraqi Merchants, Mufid ‘Abd al-Ghafur, announced in Baghdad that troops of the US-installed Iraqi puppet regime had arrested 36 Sunni merchants in the occupied Iraqi capital on charges of providing funds to the Iraqi Resistance.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported ‘Abd al-Ghafur as saying that, “the merchants who were arrested are among the biggest Iraqi merchants, some of those who dominate the Iraqi market. They have companies and factories in Baghdad. Their moveable and non-moveable wealth has been seized.

‘Abd al-Ghafur said that when the League of Iraqi Merchants asked the US-installed regime why these businessmen had been arrested, the puppet “Interior Minister” replied that the arrests came after secret reliable sources had told the “Ministry” that the men were providing large funds as “jihad with wealth” for the Iraqi Resistance.

Sudanese embassy official killed in armed attack.

A source in the US-installed “Iraqi Foreign Ministry” said on Wednesday that armed men had killed an employee of the Sudanese embassy in eastern Baghdad.

Agence France Presse (AFP) as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet “Ministry” official as saying that unknown armed men in the al-Mansur area of eastern Baghdad had attacked the car in which Hammudah Ahmad Adam, an administrative attach at the Sudanese embassy in Baghdad, was riding. Adam was killed immediately.

US soldier reported killed in roadside bombing.

In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in the town of al-Ishaqi on the road to Balad, north of Baghdad.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of al-Ishaqi who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of the main road blew up as a column of several US Humvees and two personnel carriers drove past. The explosion disabled one US vehicle, killing one American soldier and wounding two more American troops.

Samarra’.

Resistance bombards US headquarters early morning Wednesday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds into the US headquarters located south of Samarra’ at 6am Wednesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Samarra’ who witnessed the barrage as saying that six mortar shells blasted into the middle of the US headquarters, setting off explosions and sending pillars of smoke rising into the sky.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet “Shock Troop” patrol in Khan Bani Sa‘d early Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a patrol of puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops” in Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad at 8:15am local time Wednesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Ba‘qubah reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a Resistance fighter blasted his car bomb into a puppet “Shock Troop” patrol on the road to the Ba‘qubah Police Headquarters in Khan Bani Sa‘d, northeast of the city.

The explosion destroyed one vehicle belonging to the “Shock Troops,” killing seven of the puppet policemen and wounding another 10 persons, three of them civilians, according to the puppet police source.

US arrests 396 youths in massive house-to-house raids northeast of Baghdad.

Shaykh ‘Abdallah ‘Abd al-‘Azim, a member of the Board of Muftis in Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad, announced that US occupation forces had arrested 396 Sunni youths in Ba‘qubah and the surrounding areas in the course of massive house-to-house raids and searches during the previous 72 hours.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported Shaykh ‘Abd al-Azim as saying that there are a number of women among the captives.

A statement issued by the US-installed “Iraqi Ministry of Defense” said that the number of people arrested was 351. US forces said that the arrests followed the launch of another American operation, this one dubbed “Autumn Storm” aimed at capturing people suspected of involvement with or support for the Iraqi Resistance.

Resistance ambushes puppet forces north of Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had ambushed a patrol of the Iraqi puppet army in the Shahriyar area north of Ba‘qubah.

The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Shahriyar who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons ambushed the patrol, sparking a firefight that lasted for about 10 minutes. One of the puppet army vehicles was destroyed in the attack, but the correspondent was unable to ascertain the nature or extent of casualties suffered by the puppet forces.

Babil Province.

Al-Latifiyah.

US barrage kills five civilians in al-Latifiyah.
Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry Scorpion Brigade” troops carried out a wave of raids and arrests in various parts of the city of al-Latifiyah, 25km south of Baghdad on Wednesday. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Latifiyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that “Scorpion Brigade” forces surrounded the city at night and mounted a wave of arrests among civilian residents of the city.

It is well known that Shi‘i sectarian militias frequently arrive in areas dressed in puppet police uniforms and carry out mass arrests that have not been ordered by the regime’s authorities and frequently end in the torture and death of those captured.

Aware of this, the local residents of al-Latifiyah opened fire with light and medium weapons on the “Scorpion Brigade” forces. US forces then intervened by bombarding several peaceful houses in the city, destroying them and killing five civilian residents. Three other persons were wounded in the American barrage, most of them women and children.

Ninwa Province.

Tall ‘Afar.

Three US troops reported killed in morning land mine explosion in Tall ‘Afar.

In a dispatch posted at 10:55am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine had exploded by a US foot patrol in the as-Saray neighborhood of central Tall ‘Afar.

The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the explosion of the land mine killed three US soldiers and wounded another. One Iraqi civilian was also killed in the explosion, according to the puppet police source, but eyewitnesses and a source in the city hospital denied that there were any civilian casualties.

The eyewitnesses said that the street had been totally vacant at the time of the blast, except for the American patrol.

The Makfarat al-Islam correspondent for his part saw US forces clearing the area, searching shops nearby the scene of the blast but finding nothing of interest to them.

Mosul.

US soldier reported killed in roadside bombing in eastern Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded on the main road in the Cultural Complex are in the east of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Mosul reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted under a pile of rubbish on the side of the road to the center of the city blew up as a column of three US armored vehicles and two Humvees was passing by. The explosion set fire to one of the armored vehicles, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance ambushes US-Iraqi puppet army joint patrol midday Wednesday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol south of Kirkuk at 1:30pm local time Wednesday.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that as the joint patrol passed by, the Resistance used remote control to detonate an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road. Then Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the patrol.

The correspondent had no information on the nature or extent of losses as a result of the two-pronged attack, because US and Iraqi puppet forces quickly surrounded the scene of the attack.
