Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards US positions in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Thursday evening.

Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed mortars and Katyusha rockets on houses that US occupation forces have commandeered and occupied in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Thursday evening.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bombardments took place around 5:30pm local time. Resistance fighters fired ten heavy 120mm mortar rounds and three Katyusha rockets into three houses that US forces had turned into their headquarters in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah ミ a southern suburb of al-Fallujah ミ 60km west of Baghdad.

Some of the mortar shells struck their targets, sending up thick clouds of smoke from the commandeered houses. At the time the correspondent filed his report, which was posted at 10:20pm Mecca time Thursday night, no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Three US troops reported killed in bombing mid-morning Thursday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main street in al-Fallujah near the industrial zone at 10am local time Thursday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by a US patrol on the service road to the main street at the eastern entrance to the city. They reported that the blast destroyed one American Humvee, killing three of its crewmembers and wounding a fourth.

The correspondent reported that al-Fallujah, meanwhile, remained tens following the arrest of an 18-year-old girl on Wednesday (see story below).

At least three US troops reported killed in two pre-dawn mortar attacks on US forces in al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces carried out mortar attacks on two US headquarters in the al-Fallujah area in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fired four mortar rounds into the US occupation forces’ headquarters near the old al-Fallujah bridge in the west of the city. The attack killed at least two US soldiers, according to workers in al-Fallujah General Hospital, which is located near the bridge and the US headquarters.

In a separate pre-dawn attack, the Resistance blasted the American occupation forces headquarters in the an-Nazal neighborhood in the south of the city at about 4:30am Thursday morning. Five mortar shells blasted into the American-occupied facility, killing one US soldier and wounding two more American troops, residents living near the US headquarters told Mafkarat al-Islam.

After the attacks, US troops backed by tanks and armored vehicles set out on patrols of the city, fearful that the Resistance might be preparing for further bombardments.

Resistance grenade attack targets Iraqi puppet “order protection forces” Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 4:45pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, the al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fighter threw a hand grenade at a patrol of the Iraqi puppet “forces to protect order” on as-Sadd road between the industrial zone and the an-Nazal neighborhood in al-Fallujah.

Witnesses told the correspondent that the Resistance attacker had thrown a hand grenade at a GMC vehicle belonging to the puppet “order protection forces,” destroying the vehicle and killing three of the puppet troops aboard it.

After the attack, other members of the Iraqi puppet “order protection forces” opened fire indiscriminately on passers by, but hit no one.

Thursday declared Day of Civil Disobedience in al-Fallujah to protest US forces arrest of 18-year-old girl.

US troops backed up by armored vehicles and dozens of Iraqi puppet army soldiers on Wednesday carried out a campaign of house raids and searches in various parts of the city of al-Fallujah. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported eyewitnesses as saying that in the course of their raids, US troops captured an 18-year-old girl and arrested her, charging that her father belonged to one of the Iraqi Resistance organizations. They took her prisoner in an attempt to pressure her father into surrendering to the occupation authorities.

In response to the arrest, residents of al-Fallujah declared Thursday a day of civil disobedience in all vital institutions in protest against the American occupation forces’ arrest of the girl.

Al-Karmah.

One US soldier reported killed in bombing on farm road east of al-Fallujah Thursday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Karmah area east of al-Fallujah at 3:15pm local time Thursday afternoon.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb had been planted on a farm road in the as-Sabihat area near al-Karmah and that it went off as an American patrol drove past along the road. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing one American soldier and wounding two others.

After the attack, US forces surrounded the as-Sabihat area and carried out raids in the area, arresting three local residents.

US occupation forces arrest 10 youths after finding money in their shops.

American occupation forces arrested 10 young men who were gathering in front of their commercial shops in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area ミ a southern suburb of the city of al-Fallujah ミ Thursday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that US forces raided and searched the shops and found a safe with money in it, but the owner of the safe was not present.

The correspondent reported that after tying up the 10 youths and leading them away to an unknown destination, the US forces used explosives to blow off the door of the safe to find out what was inside.

Hit.

Three US troops reported killed in roadside bombing in Hit Thursday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the middle of the western Iraqi city of Hit at 3pm local time Thursday afternoon.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the city near the stone works blew up as a US patrol drove past. The explosion destroyed one American Humvee, killing three US troops who were inside it and severely wounding a fourth American soldier.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that US forces surrounded the area after the blast and recovered the bodies of the dead and the wounded and also hauled away the wreckage of the vehicle.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance fighters ambush US supply convoy midday Thursday.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US convoy loaded with provisions on the main highway in the area of the city of al-Hadithah in western Iraq at about 1pm local time Thursday.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that an estimated 10 Resistance fighters ambushed the American truck convoy that was hauling supplies to US forces along the highway. The Resistance fighters attacked using light and medium weapons and pipe rockets, setting three of the American trucks ablaze and killing three drivers of unknown identity working for the US forces.

After the attack, American troops summoned reinforcements, set up a checkpoint near the scene of the attack, and began searching all passing cars. A US helicopter was seen flying in overhead.

Al-Haqlaniyah.

Two US troops reported killed in late morning bombing in al-Haqlaniyah.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Haqlaniyah area in western Iraq at 11:30am local time Thursday morning.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb blast left two US soldiers dead and two more American troops wounded.

After the attack, American forces closed the main road to truck traffic ミ both Iraq and those coming from Jordan and Syria. The US troops recovered the bodies of the dead and the wounded from the attack zone.

Abu Ghurayb.

Four US troops reported killed when high-yield Resistance bomb explodes late Thursday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance high-explosive bomb exploded on the main road in Abu Ghuayb, some 30km west of Baghdad at about 11am local time Thursday morning.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bom that had been planted by in a garbage container near the main street blew up as a US patrol drove past along the road. The blast destroyed one American Humvee and disabled a second and killed four US troops and wounded two more American soldiers.

US forces closed the road and encircled the whole area after the explosion, deploying in large numbers in the city backed up by armor and other military vehicles, out of concern that more bombings might occur.

In his dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that US forces were still heavily deployed in the city and that they had set up checkpoint at street entrances and intersections.

Baghdad.

Two US troops reported killed in roadside bombing in western Baghdad Thursday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the highway near the main intersection in the al-‘Adl neighborhood in western Baghdad at 4pm local time Thursday afternoon.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the highway that leads to al-Anbar Province blew up as a US military column drove past. The explosion destroyed one American Humvee, killing two US troops and wounding a third.

The correspondent, in his report posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Thursday, said that as of the time of writing, the US military had not issued any comments on the attack.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Samarra’.

Two US soldiers reported killed in early morning roadside bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in Samarra’ at about 7am local time Thursday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Samarra’ reported eye witnesses as saying that a bomb blew up by a US column that was driving along the main road between Samarra’ and Tikrit. The blast destroyed one US Humvee, killing two American soldiers aboard it and wounding a third.

After the explosion, American troops rushed to close the highway, preventing anyone from approaching the scene. The US occupation forces then searched the side of the road looking for other possible bombs.

Balad.

At least three US troops killed in midnight bombing Wednesday-Thursday night.

A deadly Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in Balad, 70km north of Baghdad, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported sources in the Iraqi puppet police in Balad as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American patrol that was passing along the road linking Balad and Samarra’ at midnight Wednesday-Thursday. The blast killed four US troops and wounded three more, the sources said.

After the explosion, US forces called in reinforcements and began raids and searches in Balad, in the course of which they arrested four local residents, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

Quds Press said that three US troops were killed in the explosion and a fourth wounded. The news agency quoted a US announcement as saying that a “primitive bomb” had blown up as a US patrol passed by. Local witnesses told Quds Press that the blast went off shortly after midnight on the road linking Balad with Samarra’.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Three US troops reported killed when Resistance car bomber blasts into patrol early Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-packed car into a US patrol in the middle of Ba‘qubah.

Sources in the local Iraqi puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast took place on the main road in Ba‘qubah near the provincial government office building.

The blast destroyed one American Humvee, killing three US troops and wounding two more. Three civilians in the area were also injured and were taken to Ba‘qubah General Hospital for treatment.

After the attack, US force encircled and closed off the attack zone. They recovered the bodies of the American dead and the wounded and transported them to US military hospitals.

Ninwa Province.

Mosul.

Fifteen Mosul youths aged 10-16 years taken prisoner by Americans in midnight raids.

US occupation troops carried out house-to-house raids on residences in a number of neighborhoods in the city of Mosul at midnight Wednesday-Thursday, in particular on the al-Islah az-Zira‘i neighborhood in that northern Iraqi city.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the area as saying that American occupation troops arrested 15 local youths between the ages of 10 and 16 years but gave no reason for their capture.

The youths were bound and blindfolded and laded into vehicles without explanation, local residents reported.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that Mosul residents think the youths were taken prisoner to serve as human shields for some mission that the occupation troops intend to undertake in the city that they fear might be risky.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance pounds US camp in Kirkuk airport with mortars Thursday afternoon.

Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a rocket attack on Kirkuk International Airport, which the US occupation forces have taken over and turned into their local military headquarters, at 3pm local time Thursday afternoon.

The Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that 11 mortar rounds blasted into the American base in Kirkuk. Afterwards, US helicopter gun ships and warplanes could be seen prowling the skies of the city after explosions rocket the American-occupied facility sending flames and smoke into the air.

The correspondent noted that although no information was available on the nature or extent of US casualties, the Resistance bombardment went on for about a half an hour.
