シャロン首相は公用車でエルサレムからテルアビブに移動する途中で気分が悪くなった。病院への搬送時には意識不明に陥った。

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was rushed to hospital in Jerusalem on Sunday evening after suffering a minor stroke and briefly losing consciousness. His doctors later said that the prime minister was in a stable condition and was undergoing tests.
Sharon's personal doctor, Professor Bolek Goldman, said several hours later that the prime minister is fully conscious. He is talking freely, moving and joking. He underwent a mild stroke.
Unequivocally, there was no permanent damage caused to him, Dr. Goldman said. He added that Sharon's functioning was in no way damaged. He is talking to everyone now and asking about what's happening, what people are saying, and how they are taking the news.

JERUSALEM, Dec. 18 (Xinhuanet) — Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was in a stable condition after he was rushed to a Jerusalem hospital on Sunday evening apparently for a minor stroke, said local media reports.
Channel 2 TV said 77-year-old Sharon was taken to the Hadassah University Hospital after complaining of not feeling well.
Channel 10 TV quoted the hospital as saying that the prime minister's life was not in danger.
