Al-Fallujah.

Resistance marksman reportedly kills US soldier in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:35pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the last 24 hours, an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter had killed an American soldier and other Resistance attacks had left two Iraqi puppet troops dead in al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in al-Fallujah as the American was standing guard at a US camp in the city. The Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck the US soldier directly, killing him instantly, the correspondent reported.

In another Resistance attack Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet army foot patrol near the al-Furqan Mosque in the 7 April neighborhood in the middle of al-Fallujah. Local witnesses reported that the Resistance fighters, armed with light and medium weapons, had killed two Iraqi puppet troops and wounded two more of them.

In a third attack, Resistance forces fired two 60mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in the middle of al-Fallujah, sending plumes of smoke billowing over the American-occupied compound.

Ar-Rutbah.

US forces arrest 30 following Tuesday car bombing that reportedly killed four US Marines.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Mecca time Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had arrested 30 Iraqis ranging in age from 15 to 50 years in the town of ar-Rutbah in western Iraq near the Jordanian border.

The ar-Rutbah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the City Administration as saying that the US forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests after a car bomb exploded by a US military column on Tuesday, destroying a Humvee and killing more than four Marines.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance assault on Abu Ghurayb leaves American soldier reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked the notorious US prison in Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Abu Ghurayb who witnessed the assault as saying that Resistance fighters armed with medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the facility, completely destroying one of the watchtowers and killing one American soldier and wounding a second.

Resistance bomb blasts US column in ash-Shakiriyah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded on the highway near the ash-Shakiriyah area of southern Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in ash-Shakiriyah blew up as a column of several American Humvees was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed one Humvee, killing or wounding the members of its four-man American crew.

Resistance bomb destroys US mine sweeper vehicle, reportedly killing three American troops in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:05pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol on the main road in ‘Arab Jabbur to the south of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The ad-Durah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to the center of the area blew up pa a passing patrol of several US Humvees and a minesweeper. The explosion destroyed the mine sweeper, killing three US troops and wounding three more of them, the correspondent reported.

Resistance bomb in ar-Ridwaniyah leaves one US soldier reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column in the southwest Baghdad district of ar-Ridwaniyah.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast destroyed one US Humvee, killing an American soldier and wounding two more of them.

Resistance forces battle US, Iraqi puppet “Thunder Brigade” troops in al-Ghazaliyah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting had broken out between Iraqi Resistance forces on one side and US and Iraqi puppet troops on the other in western Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah district.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters had ambushed the joint US-Iraqi puppet forces. The Iraqi puppet troops in the force were drawn from the puppet “Interior Ministry Thunder Brigade.”

The witnesses reported that the fighting lasted for about an hour and a half and left three vehicles ablaze and four “Thunder Brigade” soldiers dead and 13 more of them wounded.

Chief of puppet police for Baghdad dismissed by demand of puppet “Interior Minister” Bayan Jabr Sulagh.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet governing council for Baghdad Province issued a decree on Wednesday dismissing the puppet police chief for Baghdad, Major General ‘Abd ar-Razzaq as-Samarra’i, from his post, and appointing a number of other officers to take on that responsibility.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet governing council for Baghdad who asked not to be identified as saying that the decision was made in response to the demand of a majority of members of the council that ‘Abd ar-Razzaq as-Samarra’i be fired following what they regard as the deterioration of the security situation in the occupied Iraqi capital over the last two weeks.

A source in the Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” told Mafkarat al-Islam, however, that the demand for the dismissal of as-Samarra’i had come from the puppet “Interior Minister” himself, Bayan Jabr Sulagh who is also a commander of the Badr Brigades. The move came one day after Sulagh’s brother was reported abducted by Iraqi Resistance fighters in Baghdad.

Two car bombs target puppet forces in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance car bombs had exploded in Baghdad striking Iraqi puppet army targets

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in one attack an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” check point in the middle of Baghdad. A source int eh Iraqi puppet police told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast killed two puppet policemen and wounded five more of them.

In the second bombing, an Iraqi Resistance car bomb blew up by a column of Iraqi puppet “Special Forces” working as guards for the US occupation troops in northern Baghdad’s al-Kazimiyah district. Eyewitnesses said that the bomb completely destroyed one of the vehicles in the puppet force column, killing three puppet “Special Forces” troops and wounding a fourth.

Two US soldiers reported dead in bombing in Baghdad’s Bab ash-Sharqi district.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by an American column in the Bab ash-Sharqi area of central Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road near at-Tahrir Square, destroying a US military vehicle and killing two US soldiers and wounding four more of them.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police column in northern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 3:45pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet police on the main road near the northern entrance to Baghdad

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” as saying that an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of the main road near the northern gate to Baghdad exploded as a puppet police column drove past. The explosion destroyed four police vehicles, killing five puppet policemen and wounding six more of them.

Puppet “Oil Ministry” official assassinated in attack in al-‘Amiriyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an official in the puppet “Ministry of Petroleum” in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance fighters equipped with light arms ambushed the motorcade of ‘Ali as-Sudani an administrator in the “Ministry of Petroleum” in al-‘Amiriyah, killing him and his son who worked with him. The driver of their car was wounded in the attack.

Resistance pounds puppet army headquarters in ar-Ridwaniyah with fierce mortar barrage.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a ferocious mortar barrage on the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet army in southern Baghdad’s ar-Ridwaniyah area.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that the Resistance fired ten heavy 120mm mortar rounds and fifteen 82mm mortar rounds in a single massive barrage on the puppet army installation. All the shells scored direct hits on the headquarters, the witnesses reported.

The correspondent reported that smoke could be seen billowing up from every part of the puppet army compound.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in Baghdad’s al-Yarmuk section.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the southeast of western Baghdad’s al-Yarmuk section.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yarmuk who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb went ff as a patrol of several American Humvees was driving past. The blast disabled one Humvee, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb leaves US soldier reported dead on highway east of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the highway to Diyala Province, east of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb disabled a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of those who were aboard the vehicle.

Two US troops reported killed as Resistance annihilates US fuel convoy in al-Mushahadah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a tanker convoy hauling fuel to US bases on the main road in the city of al-Mushahadah, north of Baghdad

The al-Mushahadah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons ambushed an American convoy of 20 loaded fuel tankers and several Humvees. The Resistance fighters completely destroyed the 20 fuel trucks as well as two Humvees, killing or wounding 20 truck drivers who were working for the American forces. Two US soldiers also died in the attack and two more were wounded, the correspondent reported.

Later, the Islamic Army In Iraq Resistance organization announced its responsibility for the attack in a statement distributed around several mosques in the city.

The al-Jazeera satellite TV station reported that an Islamic Army communiqu published on the Internet said that the convoy had consisted of 60 tank trucks and that 19 of them had been destroyed in the assault.

Al-Yusufiyah.

US soldier reported killed in bomb attack south of al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column near Kilometer 37 on the highway south of al-Yusufiyah, which is located south of Baghdad.

The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb disabled an American tank, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of the US troops who were inside the vehicle.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance bomb leaves two National Guards dead in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:15pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet “National Guard” forces on the main road in Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad.

The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local puppet police as saying that the bomb destroyed a vehicle in the column, killing two puppet “National Guards” and wounding three more of them.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

Resistance attack on funeral of relative of official in pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Da‘wah party leaves 36 dead.

An Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter wearing an explosive belt blew himself up at a funeral of a relative of an offical in the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Da‘wah Party (headed by Iraqi puppet “Prime Minister” Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari) in the town of al-Miqdadiyah, northeast of Baghdad, al-Jazeera satellite TV reported.

Al-Jazeera reported sources in the Iraqi puppet security forces as saying that even before the fida’i fighter blew himself up, the Resistance had unleashed an assault on the graveyard where the funeral was taking place, forcing mourners to take cover from the hail of automatic gunfire and mortar shells targeting them. In all, 36 persons were killed and 48 wounded in the attack, al-Jazeera reported.

Mosul.

Resistance ambushes Iraqi puppet police in central Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Mosul as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns and medium weapons had ambushed the puppet police patrol near the main garage in the middle of the city. The attack heavily damaged the patrol vehicles and left three puppet policemen dead and three more wounded. The Resistance fighters withdrew from the area after the attack.
