Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier on patrol in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in the middle of al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Fallujah who witnessed the incident as saying that the Ameican soldier was a part of a guard patrol near the Ameicans’ military headquarters in the middle of the city. A Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck the US soldier as he took part in the patrol, killing him instantly, the correspondent reported.

After the attack, US forces closed off the main street in the area preventing anyone from approaching the scene.

Students abducted and killed for allegedly serving US occupation troops.

In a dispatch posted at 8pm Mecca time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men on Thursday morning had abducted two students from a school in al-Fallujah and killed them.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the Deputy Director of the school as saying that the armed men attacked the al-Iman Secondary School in the south of the city and abducted two second-year students. The students were led away to an unknown destination and their bodies were found hours later, dumped by the side of one of the streets in the city.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a number of classmates of the murdered students as saying that they had tried to intervene to prevent the abduction, but that the masked men had told them that the two students had been working with the American occupation troops.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bomb near central markets in ar-Ramadi leaves US soldier reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US column on the main road near the central markets in downtown ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road had exploded by a passing column of several SU armored vehicles and Humvees, disabling a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding a second.

Eighty dead reported in Resistance bomb attack on recruits to puppet “security services Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 7:50pm Mecca time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the toll of dead in a Thursday morning Resistance bomb attack that was targeted on volunteers joining the puppet forces in ar-Ramadi had risen to 80 dead and 51 wounded. Most of the wounded had been transported to the hospital in serious condition so the number of those killed in the attack was thought likely to rise.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Dr Majid at-Tikriti as saying that as far as he knew, the number of those killed in the attack was 68 with another 51 wounded, many of them in critical condition.

Dr. at-Tikriti said, “we believe that the death toll will be rising because of the severity of the wounds of the injured.”

Dr. at-Tikriti added that preliminary evidence indicated that the attack was not carried out by one bomber, but by two individuals wearing explosive belts. He added that three tribal shaykhs were among those killed in the attack.

Quds Press reported a source in the ar-Ramadi puppet police as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into the volunteer center in the at-Ta’mim neighborhood in the middle of ar-Ramadi.

The source told Quds Press that the majority of those killed were members of the Iraqi puppet army and puppet police as well as would be volunteers for the puppet forces.

The source noted that after the blast, US troops cordoned off the scene of the attack and prevented anyone from approaching as ambulances transported dozens of casualties to ar-Ramadi General Hospital.

US forces deployed in large numbers in the city following the attack and American helicopters prowled the skies overhead, Quds Press noted.

The attack struck members of the largely Sunni population of ar-Ramadi which had been the target in recent weeks of campaigns by pro-occupation political parties that used sectarian arguments to try to get local men to volunteer for the puppet police and security services. They were told that they could replace the largely Shi‘i troops already serving the occupation.

The Resistance, however, opposes any collaboration with the occupation, regarding any such support as a reinforcement of the regime imposed by American force of arms. The Resistance believes that the aim of the occupation is to impose the American so-called “Greater Middle East” plan on the region, in which a collection of small ethnic and sectarian states would operate under the domination of the US and “Israel.” Preventing such an eventuality requires that all forms of collaboration and recognition of the American-installed political process be excluded.
