Hit.

US soldier reported killed in bombing of foot patrol in western Hit midday Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of US troops on foot in the middle of the western Iraqi city of Hit at noon on Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of an unpaved road in western Hit blew up near the Hafsah School as a column of American footsoldiers was walking past. The blast killed one US soldier and wounded three more in varying degrees of severity.

Ar-Ramadi.

US warplanes attack civilian homes in ar-Ramadi, killing 18 on Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes had rocketed three homes in various parts of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad on Friday morning. An announcement made by ar-Ramadi General Hospital said that the American attack had left 18 Iraqi civilians dead, seven of them women and children

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American fighter bombers had attacked houses in the al-Mal‘ab area in the east of the city, in the al-Bu Fahd area of ar-Ramadi, and in the al-Jazirah district to the north of the city. The correspondent reported that as of the time of writing, the American occupation forces had offered no explanation for the raids.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance rocket destroys US Humvee, sparking battle in al-Fallujah late on Friday.

In a dispatch posted at pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired an RPG7 rocket-propelled grenade at a US Humvee in an American patrol near the at-Tawfiq Mosque in al-Fallujah, striking and totally destroying the American vehicle.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that some 10 minutes later an intense gunbattle erupted between the Resistance and US troops in the area. The fighting spread to 40 Street, witnesses said. One Resistance fighter was wounded but in the end managed to withdraw along with the other Resistance men through an area where there were several houses. American troops then surrounded the area.

The correspondent wrote that at the time of reporting no information on the nature or extent of American casualties from the rocket attack or from the fighting were available.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet “National Guard” patrol midday Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in the middle of al-Fallujah at about 12:30pm local time on Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who were at the scene as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one patrol vehicle and killed five of the Iraqi puppet troops. After the attack, US and Iraqi puppet troops surrounded the area, closed the road, and evacuated the bodies.

Five US troops reported killed in car bombing in al-Fallujah midday Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded near a teachers training institute near the Martyrs Cemetery in the middle of al-Fallujah

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses at the scene of the attack as saying that at least five American troops had been killed in the explosion. The correspondent himself saw one wrecked American military vehicle and another one on fire. American troops were surrounding the whole area.

Americans seal off ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah after Resistance attack kills four US troops.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four US troops had been killed when Resistance fighters opened fire on them with shoulder-fired rockets.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet army Captain Sa‘d al-Bayyati, the commander at the northern checkpoint in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, gave a statement to the press following the attack, which took place in the al-Bu ‘Isa area of al-‘Amiriyah. Captain al-Bayyati said that the battle lasted about half an hour and left one American Humvee destroyed, a second one disabled and four US soldiers dead.

Captain al-Bayyati said that US occupation forces had encircled the town of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a southern suburb of the city of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, following the Resistance attack.

Al-Qa’im.

Resistance attack in al-Qa’im Thursday night followed by arrests of local residents.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military patrol causing slight damage to one of the Americans’ vehicles. None of the US troops were killed in the blast which took place in the city of al-Qa’im in western Iraq near the Syrian border on Thursday night.

Later, a joint force of US and Iraqi puppet troops arrested 14 local residents in various neighborhoods around al-Qa’im. The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American occupation forces had received tips that the men they arrested had been trying to reform Iraqi Resistance ranks within the city.

Baghdad.

US Marine reported killed in land mine explosion in northeast Baghdad early Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine had exploded by a US military column at the Maysalun Square crossroads in the northeast of Baghdad at about 7am Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Major Muhammad ‘Abdallah fot he Iraqi puppet army as saying that the mine had been planted under a pile of rubbish on the side of the road. The blast killed one US soldier and wounded three more of them.

Major ‘Abdallah said that the US forces did not close the street after the attack as they usually do because there were no passers by at the time, which was around 7am. The Major said that the three wounded men and the one dead Marine were evacuated to the American military camp in the area ﾐ a facility that the US occupation troops have set up in what was formerly a Public Security Service building.

Samarra’.

US troops kill Iraqi family of six near Samarra’ on Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a source in Samarra’ Hospital had announced that US troops had opened fire on a private car carrying six people on an outer road in the Samarra’ area, some 140km north of Baghdad on Wednesday, the second day of the ‘Id al-Adha holidays.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the hospital source as saying that six members of an Iraqi family ﾐ three men two women and a little boy of two ﾐ were killed in the American attack. The American gunfire caused the car to burst into flame, leaving all the bodies badly charred and unrecognizable.

The correspondent reported that the six bodies were still in Samarra’ Hospital waiting for family members to come and pick them up. As of the time of writing, the US occupation forces have offered no explanation for the murder of the family.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police column in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in tha al-Mafraq neighborhood in eastern Ba‘qubah, some 60km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as claiming that the explosion wounded seven puppet policemen, two of them severely. The correspondent noted, however, that eyewitnesses at the scene said that the bomb destroyed one Nissan pickup and killed all seven puppet policemen aboard it. A medical source who asked not to be identified reported that Ba‘qubah General Hospital had received the bodies of five puppet policemen in the city after the car bombing.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent noted that in recent days the Iraqi puppet army and police have begun following the practice of the US military ﾐ concealing the real number of their dead following Iraqi Resistance attacks.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance car bomb blasts northern entrance to American base in Kirkuk Airport midday Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time before an Iraqi car bomb had exploded at the northern entrance to Kirkuk International Airport ﾐ a facility that American occupation forces have taken over and turned into a local headquarters for themselves in the northern Iraqi city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the Iraqi puppet army and police as saying that a number of SU troops who were at the gate to the airport were killed in the blast. The correspondent was not immediately able to ascertain the exact number or nature of the US casualties. American warplanes and helicopter gunships could be seen prowling the skies over the airport and US vehicles surrounded the American base after the bombing. Witnesses said they saw a pillar of thick, black smoke rising from the scene of the blast.

Mosul.

US military admits two American troops killed when Resistance shoots down helicopter over Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 8pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military occupation authorities had admitted that an American helicopter had crashed after being shot down by the Iraqi Resistance near Mosul in northern Iraq. The Americans acknowledged that the crew of the aircraft was killed.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported American Lieutenant General John Vines as telling journalists in the puppet “Defense Ministry” in Baghdad that “indications are that the aircraft was brought down by hostile fire.”

Mafkarat al-Islam quoted Reuters as saying that eyewitnesses in the as-Sukkar area of northern Mosul said that they had seen Resistance fighters on the ground open fire on the helicopter destroying it.

The US military admitted that two of its soldiers were killed in the crash of the UH58 helicopter, a single engine, two-seat aircraft. It was at least the second American helicopter to go down in seven days.
