Letter from U.S Soldier in the green zone
Everyone!!! PLEASE. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME. it is not Bush, I AM HERE IN THE GREEN ZONE. it is the 1000's of pin-head bureaucrats in uniform, it is the State Department!! For GOD SAKE listen to me, These poeple sit around all day crying and complaining, there are 4000 fat officers in the IZ who sit around all day waiting for the next chow time. LISTEN TO ME FOR GOD SAKE, We had one general who wasted days of manpower, money and time wanting to know why he had trouble getting to his yahoo mail, I AM NOT KIDDING, Listen to me. The STATE DEPARTMENT PEOPLE ARE THE WORST, they worry about whether they will have intenet in their trailer, and they complain that not all the contractors and military are doubled up so they can have a room to themselves, they have a whole parking lot full of brand new SUV;s that no on but them can drive, they are wasting your money. the Generals are such prima donna's. They are wasting your money. FOR GOD SAKE LISTEN TO ME, IAM HERE I KNOW. They actually have military guys writing tickets and booting vehicles for "illegal parking" guys who could have been out helping this guys unit, There is more construction going on in the Green Zone than in the entire nation of Iraq. For GOD SAKE LISTEN TO ME. These 'civil servants" have no concept of being "civil servants" they all think they are royalty. The Iraqi's are getting pissed, the State Department has fixed nothing for them, but we all have fresh water, plent of electricity. and Baghdad still has nothing, This people here don't care. For GOD SAKE LISTEN TO ME, I AM HERE IN THE IZ. you're tax money and you're young mens lives are being spent by career bureaucrats who are afraid to take a chance, who care only about their next 'posting" Who are worried about the "political ramifications' GOD HELP US.
