Resistance bomb east of al-Qa’im reportedly kills three US troops.


In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road in the al-Baydah area east of al-Qa’im near the border with Syria.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Baydah as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the main road to al-‘Ubaydi, east of al-Qa’im blew up as a column of US Humvees was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed one Humvee, killing three US soldiers who were aboard it.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance bomb blasts US column east of al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of US troops on a farm road east of al-Hadithah in western Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Hadithah as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one American Humvee, wounding four US troops who were aboard it.

Ar-Ramadi.

US deaths reported as Iraqi Resistance mounts assault on American headquarters in ar-Ramadi.

In a bulletin posted at 6:05pm Mecca time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, a detachment of more than 40 Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked the puppet al-Anbar Provincial government office building in ar-Ramadi, a facility occupied and used by American forces as a local headquarters.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the scene of the attack that Resistance forces had fired four S5K rockets at the fortified towers of the compound that the occupation forces use as observation towers. The attack totally demolished the tower that overlooked 17 Street.

The attack, which was still in progress at the time of reporting, had clearly killed several US troops. At least one American sniper was seen falling to earth after the Resistance opened fire on his position with medium weapons.

Resistance stages multiple attacks in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time midday Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and rocket launchers had attacked several joint headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet troops in the city of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the joint headquarters located in the west of the city with mortars and rocket launchers, sending plumes of smoke rising from every part of the compound.

The Resistance also bombarded the US occupation headquarters set up in the Agricultural College to the east of the city. Five mortar rounds blasted directly into that US-occupied facility.

Resistance fighters armed with medium weapons and mortars also assaulted the provincial government building in the middle of the city, a facility occupied jointly by the US and Iraqi puppet armies and by the puppet municipal council officials. One US military vehicle was observed on fire as pillars of smoke rose over the building.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance attacks batter US forces in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:59pm Mecca time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had carried out several rocket attacks on strongholds of the US occupation forces in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area, south of the city of al-Fallujah proper, on Saturday.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at about 2pm local time Saturday afternoon, Resistance fighters had fired two RPG7 rocket propelled grenades into a house in the area that US forces have been using as a local headquarters for some time.

In a separate attack, Resistance fighters fired a rocket at an American observation tower, scoring a direct hit and setting it on fire. The tower continued to burn for some time after the attack.

Several hours later, at about 6pm local time Saturday evening Resistance fighters fired an RPG7 rocket into a US military headquarters set up in the housing complex in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah. The rocket scored a direct hit on an American watchtower, setting it on fire. Afterwards, all the attacking Resistance fighters opened fire intensively on the American camp. No precise information on he nature or extent of the casualties in these attacks was available Saturday night.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet “National Guard” foot patrol in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that that bomb, which was planted on a side street in the neighborhood blew up as the puppet guard foot patrol was walking past. The explosion killed two puppet “National Guards” and wounded two more of them.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance bomb blasts US column west of Abu Ghruayb.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the main road in the Khan Darri area in the west of Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Khan Darri who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road to al-Fallujah, blew up a an American column was driving past. The explosion disabled one Humvee, killing or wounding its crew of three US soldiers.

Resistance ambush leaves 12 puppet “National Guards” dead in Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” patrol in the area of Abu Ghurayb.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the puppet “National Guard” patrol, setting fire to two patrol vehicles and killing 12 of the guards. Seven more puppet guards were wounded, some of them severely, in the ambush, the correspondent reported.

Baghdad.

Resistance bombards “Green Zone” in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 5pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired three medium-range Grad rockets into the area in central Baghdad around the Republican Palace, which the American occupation forces have taken over as their headquarters and dubbed the “Green Zone.”

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the as-Salihiyah district located near the “Green Zone” as saying that the rockets blasted directly into the “Zone,” sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky over the area.

Resistance bombards puppet “National Guard” headquarters, checkpoint in at-Taji.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces blasted an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” checkpoint on the main road in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji.

The at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the “National Guard” checkpoint located on the main road into Baghdad took direct hits from three Resistance mortar rounds. No precise information on the nature or extent of casualties that resulted from the attack was immediately available.

In a separate incident, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in at-Taji reported that the Resistance also bombarded a puppet “National Guard” headquarters in at-Taji with medium-range rockets. That barrage set off explosions and sent plumes of smoke billowing up over the puppet guard headquarters. No precise information on the nature or extent of casualties was available from that attack either.

Four US troops reported killed as series of bombs lacerates US military column in northeast Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:05pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a series of Iraqi Resistance bombs had blasted through a US military column in the al-Waziriyah area of northeastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Baghdad as saying that four bombs exploded nearly simultaneously as a column of several American Humvees was driving by. The explosions disabled two vehicles and damaged a third. Four American troops were killed and another four US soldiers were wounded the correspondent reported.

Resistance bombards puppet “Interior Ministry al-Husayn Shock Troop” base ins southern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the headquarters of the puppet “Interior Ministry al-Husayn Shock Troop Maghawir Force” in the south of Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “National Guards” as saying that 10 medium-range Katyusha rockets all blasted into the interior of the base, destroying parts of the headquarters building and setting two vehicles belonging to the al-Husayn Brigades ablaze. Three puppet “Shock Troops” were killed and eight more of them wounded in the fierce attack.

US helicopter goes down in western Baghdad district of ash-Shu‘lah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an American helicopter had crashed in the western Baghdad district of ash-Shu‘lah.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that there were conflicting reports about how the aircraft went down, crashing at the as-Sadriyayn crossroads in ash-Shu‘lah. Local residents said that Resistance fighters had opened fire on the helicopter with their medium weight weapons, but a source in the Iraqi puppet police said that the helicopter went down as a result of technical malfunction and that the crew of two US troops got out before it crashed.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded a joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ad-Durah as saying that three mortar rounds blasted into the camp, setting off explosions and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bombards puppet “National Guard” headquarters in as-Sayyidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three mortar rounds into the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in the south Baghdad region of as-Sayyidiyah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents as saying that the puppet “National Guard” as-Saqr Base was struck by three mortar shells that sent smoke billowing up from inside the compound.

Suspicious bombing in popular market in ash-Sha‘b district of Baghdad.

A car bomb exploded in a popular market in the ash-Sha‘b district of Baghdad on Saturday. Sources in the Iraqi puppet security services told al-Jazeera satellite TV that one Iraqi civilian was killed in the blast and five more of them injured, according to preliminary estimates.

The sources said that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road blew up causing the casualties. The injured were taken to hospital, al-Jazeera reported, and the puppet police were investigating.

Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.

US soldier reported killed in highway bombing east of al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military column on the highway south of al-Yusufiyah.

The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway to al-Mahmudiyah blew up as a US column was driving past. The explosion disabled an American armored vehicle, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them.

Resistance downs unmanned spy plane in al-Yusufiyah area.

Iraqi Resistance fighters shot down an unmanned US spy plane in the Sadr al-Yusufiyah area. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Saturday that the Resistance fighters brought down the drone reconnaissance plane using their medium-weight weapons.

Al-Latifiyah.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bomb attack south of al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Mecca time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the Muwaylihah area south of al-Latifiyah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Muwaylihah residents as saying that the bomb, which was planted on the main road in the west of the town, blew up as a column of several American Humvees was driving past. The explosion disabled one Humvee, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more.

Diyala Province.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American military column on the road from al-Miqdadiyah north to as-Sa‘diyah, both northeast of Baghdad.

The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to as-Sa‘diyah blew up as a column of US vehicles was driving past, disabling one Humvee and wounding three US troops who were aboard it.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the al-Mansuriyah area of al-Miqdadiyah.

The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Mansuriyah as saying that Katyusha rockets and mortar shells blasted into the joint headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising over all parts of the facility.

Al-Kan‘an.

US soldier reported killed by roadside bomb in Kan‘an.

In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an American military column on the main road in the area of al-Kan‘an, about 35km east of Ba‘qubah.

The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb disabled a Humvee killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance car bomb kills three puppet policemen in Ba‘qubah mid-afternoon Saturday.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the middle of Ba‘qubah, some 65km northeast of Baghdad, at 3:35pm local time Saturday afternoon.

The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Joint Coordination Center” in the city as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of a road blew up as a puppet police patrol passed by. The explosion destroyed one patrol vehicle and damaged a second in addition to killing three puppet policemen and wounding two more of them, the source said.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet “National Guards” in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:35pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” on the road opposite the Sa‘d Airport, which the US and Iraqi puppet military have taken over and turned into their headquarters in Ba‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad.

The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb leading to the airport blew up, destroying one patrol vehicle and wounding four puppet “National Guards” who were aboard it, two of them severely.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Bomb wounds members of puppet “President” Jalal at-Talibani’s staff.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a motorcade of staff working for US-installed Iraqi puppet “President” and Kurdish separatist leader Jalal at-Talibani.

Iraqi puppet police sources told al-Jazeera satellite TV on Saturday that the bomb exploded as a motorcade of the puppet “President” drove past it on the road running southeast from Kirkuk towards Tuz Khurmatu. The blast wounded five of at-Talibani’s staff members including one aide, but puppet officials said that at-Talibani himself was not in the motorcade which was on its way to Baghdad.
