Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance shoots down Black Hawk north of ar-Ramadi Sunday evening, crew reported killed.

In a bulletin posted at 7:20pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier, Iraqi Resistance fighters had shot down an American Black Hawk helicopter in date palm groves in the al-Jazirah area north of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a number of local residents as saying that the American Black Hawk had been hovering at low altitude over their area when Resistance gunfire caused it to explode in the air and crash. The witnesses said that the American crew was killed instantly.

Afterwards, US forces with dozens of vehicles and helicopter gunships flying air support stormed into the crash zone and imposed a curfew.

One US soldier reported killed, four wounded in bombing in downtown ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the middle of the city of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb, which was planted on the main street leading to the puppet provincial government building blew up by a passing US military column, disabling a US armored vehicle, killing one American soldier and wounding four more of them.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance batters US, Iraqi puppet forces in repeated attacks in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 7pm Mecca time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had mounted several attacks on Sunday against US and Iraqi puppet troops in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a suburb located southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road that runs between ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah and the local housing complex at 10am local time. The explosion heavily damaged a Humvee, according to eyewitnesses, who did not have information on what happened to the US soldiers aboard it.

Another Iraqi Resistance bomb blasted an American patrol on the road leading to the city of al-Fallujah at about 11am local time. The blast totally destroyed an American Humvee, witnesses said.

At 2pm local time Sunday afternoon, Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the al-‘Amiriyah Installation, a facility that the Americans have taken over and turned into one of their local headquarters.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet police patrol of nine patrol vehicles at 3pm local time Sunday afternoon. The Resistance fighters were able to set seven of the patrol cars on fire, the other two vehicles were found upside-down by the side of the road. Wounded puppet policemen from that patrol were in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Complex Hospital at the time of writing, but the total losses suffered by the unit in the attack were not disclosed.

US seals off, launches raids in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, arresting dozens of local residents.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops imposed harsh “security measures” on ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a suburb southwest of the city of al-Fallujah. The American actions follow an increase in the number of Resistance attacks on American occupying forces in the last two days.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah as saying that American troops backed up by Iraqi puppet soldiers sealed off the entrances and exits of the town and deployed dozens of military vehicles inside the suburb. They then launched a campaign of raids and arrests of local civilians, rounding up dozens of residents.

Resistance bomb leaves one US soldier reported dead in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on ath-Tharthar Street in northeastern al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the city who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of ath-Tharthar Street blew up as a US military column was driving past. The explosion disabled a US Humvee, killing one American soldier and wounding two more of them, the correspondent reported.

Hit.

Two US troops reported killed in bombing east of Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the road between the center of Hit and the al-Muhammadi area east of the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Hit who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb went off by a US column east of the city. The explosion destroyed one Humvee and disabled a second. Two American troops were killed in the blast and a third was wounded.

Al-Baghdadi.

Five US troops reported killed in roadside bombing near ‘Ayn al-Asad base in western Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road to the US ‘Ayn al-Asad base in the area of al-Baghdadi, in western Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Baghdadi as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the road linking the town with the ‘Ayn al-Asad base exploded by a passing US column, destroying a US troop transport vehicle. The witnesses said that the blast killed five American soldiers and wounded four more of them.

Baghdad.

Resistance blasts “Green Zone” with heavy mortar barrage.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the Republican Palace area of downtown Baghdad ミ the district in which the Americans have set up the headquarters of their occupation, naming it the “Green Zone.”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Baghdad’s Abu Nuwas district, which is located near the “Green Zone” as saying that the Resistance barrage set off explosions and sent plumes of smoke rising over the area. Since the “Green Zone” is under total American military control, no information on the nature or extent of casualties or damage was available.

Iraqi Resistance car bomber blasts puppet “Shock Troops” in Baghdad’s al-Bayya‘ district.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in southwestern Baghdad’s al-Bayya‘ district.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in al-Bayya‘ as saying that the Resistance car bomb approached the puppet “Shock Troop” patrol and blew up, disabling two patrol vehicles and a civilian car and killing four puppet “Shock Troops” and four other persons, two of them civilians who happened to be near the patrol at the time.

Resistance bomb targets US patrol in Zayunah district in southeast Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the Zayuna area of southeastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Zayunah as saying that a bomb that had been planted on a motorcycle by the side of the main road in their area blew up by a passing US patrol, disabling an American vehicle. Two US soldiers and three civilians were wounded in the explosion, one of the civilians severely.

US tank crushes Iraqi civilian car, killing one injuring four in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops an Iraqi civilian and wounded four more of them in an incident in the Canal area in eastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that an American tank crushed a car in which five Iraqi civilians were riding on the main road in the Canal area of eastern Baghdad. The source said that the Americans committed the crime for no reason and despite the attempts of the driver of the car to swerve off the road to avoid the American column.

Bombs target liquor shop, puppet police in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two bombs had exploded in the al-Batawin area of central Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Batawin who witnessed the attacks as saying that the first bomb was planted near a house where alcoholic beverages were being sold. The second was planted on a motorcycle that was parked on the same road. It exploded when Iraqi puppet police were surrounding the area of the first blast.

The correspondent reported that the two explosions destroyed parts of the house that was the target of the first bombing and killed the owner who was the alcohol merchant. Twelve other persons were wounded in the attacks, three of them puppet policemen.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Eleven Iranians abducted in Samarra’.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 14 Iranian “visitors” had been abducted in the southwestern part of Samarra’.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that among the 14 Iranians were thee women who were released less than an hour after their capture. Puppet “Iraqi National Guards” found the three women in the desert area around ath-Tharthar southwest of Samarra’. The correspondent reported that there was no information available regarding the remaining 11 male hostages or their whereabouts.

Ad-Dujayl.

Resistance abducts five Iraqis working with US occupation forces.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters abducted five Iraqis who worked at the US military base in the ad-Dujayl area north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in ad-Dujayl as saying that the Resistance abducted Jabbar Ahmad and ‘Abd ar-Rahman Ahmad, two contractors who worked with US troops, as well as three men who work on the American base. All were led away to an unknown destination.

Diyala Province.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

US troops lock down raid al-Jabbur village, arresting 100 villagers.

In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces blockaded the village of al-Jabbur, located near the town of al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad, at dawn on Sunday.

The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the village as saying that American occupation troops imposed a curfew and blocked everyone from entering or leaving al-Jabbur. The Americans then began house-to-house raids and arrests. As of the time of writing, the US troops had arrested over 100 villagers ranging in age from 15 to 50.

American troops wounded in bombing in Diyala Province.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in the al-Bazayiz area of southwestern Diyala Province.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Bazayiz area who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road in the eastern part of the area blew up by a passing American column, disabling a Humvee and wounding two US troops who were aboard it.

Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance mortar barrage destroys puppet army checkpoint in al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage into a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops on the highway near al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Yusufiyah as saying that the Resistance struck the checkpoint with a barrage of 82mm mortar rounds. The attack destroyed the checkpoint, killing three Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounding another three of them.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Kirkuk.

Bomb rips through puppet police patrol south of Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in Kirkuk on the main road that runs south to Baghdad.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the Fourth Bridge on the way to Baghdad blew up as a puppet police patrol was driving past. The explosion destroyed on patrol vehicle, killing two puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.
