Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Two US troops, two Iraqi Resistance fighters reported killed in clash in al-Karmah late Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting broke out between US military forces and Iraqi Resistance fighters in the al-Karmah area, some 7km east of al-Fallujah at 11am Friday morning local time.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that fighting erupted in the main street in the middle of al-Karmah when Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol.

Two US troops were killed and three more wounded in the course of the fighting, witnesses said. Two Resistance fighters were also killed because of the intense gunfire that the Americans unleashed back at the Resistance fighters.

After the battle, US troops established a security perimeter around the area as their helicopters prowled the skies at low altitudes.

A source in al-Karmah Hospital told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that it had received the bodies of two Resistance fighters martyred in the battle and that they were Iraqis, not volunteers from other Arab countries, as some rumors had suggested.

Hit.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired five mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the former Youth Center in the middle of Hit in western Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that the headquarters took direct hits from the five mortar shells, which sent plumes of smoke rising over the occupied facility.

Baghdad.

Resistance destroys pro-American Badr Brigade attack force trying to seize Sunni mosques in ad-Durah. Thirty Badr Brigade gunmen killed.

In a bulletin posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters intercepted and repulsed large detachments of pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen who tried to take advantage of the curfew imposed by the US-installed regime to seize control of four Sunni mosques in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that more than 10 carloads of pro-American gunmen dressed in black and carrying black and green flags attempted to enter the al-Kubaysi Mosque, the al-Mahdiyah Mosque, and the ad-Durah Mosque. The Resistance fighters attacked the Badr Brigade gunmen and set all their 10 cars ablaze with the gunmen inside, killing 30 of the pro-American Badr Brigade sectarians.

The correspondent reported that the bodies of the dead pro-American militiamen were still strewn about the area waiting for someone to come and take them away. A force of puppet Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) tried but failed to enter the neighborhood some hours after the Resistance attack and as a result the bodies remained on the ground. Local residents put out the fires in the burning cars because the thick smoke had enveloped an extensive area in their neighborhood.

Puppet regime Interior Ministry and Badr Briagade gunmen kill two Palestinian brothers in their home in Baladiyat.

In a bulletin posted at 12:20pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a detachment of pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigades accompanied by cars belonging to the puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry had raided he home of the Palestinian Jamal Said Muhammad and his brother in the Palestinian al-Baladiyat neighborhood and murdered them.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet regime agents withdrew from the area immediately after carrying out their crime.

US-installed sectarian puppet regime in Baghdad prohibits Sunnis from holding Friday prayers.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US-installed Iraqi puppet government issued a decree forbidding Friday congregational prayer in Sunni mosques in Baghdad, in Salah ad-Din Provine, and in al-Hillah in Babil Province, and in Diyala Province.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that as a result of Shii sectarian attacks tolerated and encouraged by the sectarian puppet regime, which then imposed a curfew, the streets of Baghdad were virtually empty of all car and pedestrian traffic. Sunni mosques did not issue the call to the night prayer Thursday night, nor for the dawn prayer on Friday. And the Friday weekly congregational prayer is now also cancelled. All Sunni mosques have been locked. The puppet regime has announced over loudspeakers that anyone venturing into the streets or trying to go to mosques would be arrested.

The correspondent reported that Shii meetings in their places of worship were apparently uninfluenced by the curfew. At the time of writing hundreds of Shiah were gathered in Shii Husayniyat (places of worship), and in their political party headquarters actions which Sunnis have been prohibited from doing.

The city was at least relatively calm Friday morning. There was one case, the correspondent reported of a Sunni physician and his wife, also a doctor, who were murdered in their home in the Abu Jafar al-Mansur district.

But congregation in Ibn Taymiyah Mosque defies curfew and ban. . .

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Sunni mosque of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah had broken the puppet regimes curfew order and its ban on Sunni prayers by issuing the call to prayer Friday and holding Friday prayers.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of the mostly Sunni al-Yarmuk area of Baghdad went as a group to the mosque for prayers in a procession that appeared like a demonstration. They were able to get to the mosque as the muezzin was delivering the call to prayer.

Puppet police and puppet army troops surrounded the mosque as US helicopters flew in overhead at low altitudes. The puppet forces did not try to storm the building, however. The correspondent reported that the voice of someone delivering the Friday sermon could be heard.

The correspondent said that the man who delivered the sermon was not the regular Imam but a member of the congregation who called on the worshippers to hold together and patiently persevere in the face of the current scourge. He reminded them of the trials and tribulations that the Prophet Muhammad and early Muslims went through at the hands of the pagans. He also cited the ordeal endured by the Sunni Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal in the Middle Ages, reminding the congregation of a statement of the Prophets that there will come a time when the one who persists in his religion will be like one who holds a hot coal in his hand.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet Shock Troop patrol before dawn Friday.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of the puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at 2am local time in the pre-dawn hours of Friday, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported in a dispatch posted at 11:25am Friday.

Resistance forces attack puppet Shock Troops in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a patrol of puppet Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Durah as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the puppet Shock Troop patrol as it prepared to begin a campaign of sectarian raids and arrests in the town. The Resistance intercepted them, killing three of them and wounding another four, and sending the survivors fleeing.

Contradicting puppet regime claims that Sunni fundamentalists carried out the bombing of the Shii shrine in Samarra, al-Qaidah says Ibrahim al-Jafari Government was behind the attack.

According to a Reuters report as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, the al-Qaidah organization in Iraq issued a statement on an Internet website blaming the US-installed puppet regime of Ibrahim al-Jafari for the bombing of the tomb of the Shii Imam Ali al-Hadi on 22 February.

The statement, issued by the Consultative Council of the Mujahideen in Iraq an organization led by al-Qaidah said that the Shii government of American-installed puppet Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jafari and Iran were behind the bombing. The statement said that the bombing was an attempt by the al-Jafari regime and its Badr Brigades in conjunction with Iran to cover up their crimes against the Muslims.

The puppet regime and the official media in occupied Iraq have blamed the bombing on so-called Wahhabis or Sunni fundamentalists names they often use for al-Qaidah. With this latest statement, al-Qaidah has essentially denied that charge and blamed the puppet regime itself for the bombing.

Diyala Province.

Al-Madain.

With orders from US-installed Shii sectarian regime, Badr Brigades, Jaysh al-Mahdi raid Sunni areas southeast of Baghdad, killing and arresting.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigades and Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, the latter followers of Shii cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, dressed in black or in uniforms of the puppet Ministry of the Interior carried out sectarian attacks on Sunnis in al-Madain, Salman Bak and Jurf an-Naddaf southeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Madain, Salman Bak and Jurf an-Naddaf as saying that the militiamen arrived with official government documents issued by the puppet Ministry of the Interior and began a campaign of arrests of Sunnis, shooting indiscriminately at houses in the areas they were raiding, in full view of puppet police and US troops who did nothing to stop them.

In the course of the raids more than 30 Sunni youths were arrested and taken to unknown locations. About 35 other people were killed. Three Sunni mosques were seized in those areas. Sunni prisoners being held in puppet police jails were handed over to the Shii sectarian Badr Brigades and Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Samarra.

US troops kill family trying to escape sectarian attacks in Samarra.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US occupation troops had opened fire on a civilian car, killing a whole Iraqi family at the northern approach to the city of Samarra, 120km north of Baghdad.

The Samarra correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a family of five a man, his wife, and three children were killed when American troops shot up their car at the northern entrance to the city. The witnesses said that the family, who were Sunni, were trying to get out of the city to escape the threat of continued Shii sectarian attacks by pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen.

At-Tamim Province.

Kirkuk.

Resistance kills cadre in pro-American Badr Brigades in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Mecca time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a member of the pro-American Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) in the al-Qadisiyah section of the northern city of Kirkuk.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Qadisiyah as saying that Resistance fighters attacked Khalil Ibrahim Muhammad, a SCIRI member and cadre in SCIRIs armed wing, the Badr Brigade, killing him. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the scene.

The nearly 30,000 member Badr Brigade invaded Iraq together with the US military in the spring of 2003 and has since then formed the backbone of the US-installed security forces in the occupied country.

Maysan Province.

Al-Amarah.

Resistance pounds Scottish Abu Naji camp in al-Amarah with mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired 20 mortar rounds into the headquarters of the Scottish occupation forces in the city of al-Amarah, in southern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Amarah as saying that the headquarters of the Scottish forces in Camp Abu Naji in the city was hit by 20 mortar shells, after which plumes of smoke could be seen rising from every part of the camp. Medevac helicopters were seen landing inside the camp after the bombardment as other British helicopters prowled the skies over the camp and nearby territory at low altitude searching for the Resistance attackers but without finding them.

Dhi Qar Province.

An-Nasiriyah.

Seventy-seven year old Sunni prayer leader murdered by pro-American gunmen.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen killed the Imam of the Sunni Falih Basha mosque in the city of an-Nasiriyah late on Thursday night.

The an-Nasiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shaykh Abd as-Salam al-Azzawi, 77, was beaten and tortured before being killed by Badr Brigade gunmen inside the mosque precinct located on Baghdad street in downtown an-Nasiriyah. The body of the Shaykh was buried before noon on Friday.

According to Mafkarat al-Islam, the death of Shaykh al-Azzawi brings to more than 50 the number of Sunni Imams killed by the pro-American Badr Brigades and Jaysh al-Mahdi Shii sectarian militia following the mysterious bombing of the tomb of the Shii Imam Ali al-Hadi on 22 February. That incident was used to spark sectarian killings that appear aimed facilitating the fulfillment of the desire of American neo-conservatives to partition Iraq along sectarian lines.

Al-Basrah Province.

Al-Basrah.

Resistance bombards British desert rat headquarters.

In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the British occupation base set up at Shatt al-Arab Airport in al-Basrah in southern Iraq. The airport is the base where the British detachment calling itself desert rats has set up its permanent headquarters.

The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the two heavy mortar rounds set fire to a vehicle belonging to the British troops and left a number of the British soldiers dead or wounded. Local people reported that a helicopter landed in the camp and ambulances also arrived after the bombardment to evacuate the British casualties.
