Baghdad.

Forty-nine mercenary security contract workers abducted by men wearing puppet Shock Troop uniforms early Wednesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 7:50pm Mecca time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of armed men wearing uniforms of the puppet Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) stormed into the offices of a mercenary security company working under contract with the US occupation forces in the az-Zuyunah neighborhood of the ar-Rusafah district of Baghdad and abducted 49 employees. The raid took place at about 1pm local time Wednesday afternoon.

Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported the name of the mercenary company as Sharikat Rawafid al-Iraq al-Amniyah (The Pillars of Iraq Security Company). Al-Jazeera reported that 30 men armed with heavy machine guns showed up in 15 cars and raided the company. They led some 50 employees away all the staff in the office apart from three guards who were not abducted.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam, who went to the scene of the abduction, reported money changers who operate shops opposite the security company as saying that between 13 and 15 men wearing uniforms of the 3rd Brigade of the puppet Shock Troops stormed into the security company and abducted or arrested all those inside at gunpoint.

One of the sources told Mafkart al-Islam that the company, which is one of the well-known mercenary security companies in Baghdad, is always under heavy protection and armed guard a fact that raises many questions about the raid.

Rafat al-Bayyati, a journalist who spoke to al-Jazeera, said that the armed raiders confiscated the weapons they found in the security office and also took their safe.

A captain in the puppet Iraqi Ministry of Defense told Mafkarat al-Islam that the attack still remains mysterious, since at the time of writing, neither the puppet Ministry of Defense nor the puppet Interior Ministry, whose forces supposedly carried out the raid, had made any comment on the incident.

In its dispatch on the incident, al-Jazeera reported that the puppet Interior Ministry announced that it did not carry out raids in that part of Baghdad.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast disabled one of the cars in the procession, wounding two of Sulaghs body guards. Quds Press reported puppet Interior Ministry sources as saying that two guards had been killed and a third wounded in the attack.

Puppet Interior Minister Bayan Jabr Sulagh presides over a network of security services including the Shock Troops (Maghawir) which are largely made up of pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade militiamen. The Shock Troops and other Interior Ministry forces carry out widespread kidnappings and murders of opponents of the American occupation, engaging in mass torture of their victims in secret prisons. The corpses were taken to the Baghdad morgue for identification.

Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported sources in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the victims were of various ages and that some of them had been strangled, but others had been shot to death.

Quds Press reported that some observers believed that this latest discovery should be regarded as a part of the sectarian killing that followed the bombing of the Shii shrine of Abd al-Hadi in Samarra on 22 February an act that is widely seen as having been carried out by western intelligence agencies in a bid to foment sectarian division and facilitate the partition of Iraq along sectarian lines.

Quds Press reported that informed Iraqi sources had revealed that about 1,000 Sunni Iraqi families had been expelled from the area of al-Madain, just southeast of Baghdad, in the course of sectarian terror stirred up in an effort to facilitate the realization of US plans to partition Iraq along sectarian lines.

A source in the al-Hayat al-Ighathiyah charitable organization told Quds Press that the Sunni families had received threats that their houses would be destroyed and they would be killed if they did not leave town within two days. Some of the Sunnis received the threats from the Iraqi puppet police, others from the puppet Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) both organizations whose membership is largely drawn from the pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigade militia.

The Sunni townspeople took the threats as deadly serious and fled towards the predominantly Sunni area of at-Tarimiyah, some 30km north of Baghdad.

The source said that most of the families left abandoned belongings behind because the pro-American Shii sectarian militias would not allow them to bring anything with them. They therefore left their homes and farm fields and land as they were with all their possessions still in place to be plundered by the pro-American gunmen.

The source said that most of the refugees were, as a result homeless in and very dire straits, particularly since no charitable or welfare organizations had stepped forward to offer them aid. The media in the occupied country also ignored their case.

A wave of sectarian violence has swept over al-Madain sparked by the suspicious bombing of the Shii shrine of the Imam Abd al-Hadi in Samarra on 22 February an attack widely believed to be the work of western intelligence agencies.
