Four US soldiers, one Kuwaiti translator reported killed in Resistance bombing late Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 8:10pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in ar-Ramadi at 5:15pm local time Monday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that a bomb that had been made by filling a gas cylinder with dynamite was planted by the side of a road in the city. The bomb exploded by a patrol of four US Humvees as it drove past along the road.

The source said that the blast destroyed one of the American vehicles and slightly damaged a second. Four US soldiers were killed and a fifth, who was riding in the less-severely damaged Humvee, was wounded. Also killed in the explosion was a Kuwaiti translator who was traveling along with the American patrol.

After the attack, US troops surrounded the area and called in American military ambulances to evacuated the bodies of their dead to the al-Warrar base located west of ar-Ramadi.

Double bombing in ar-Ramadi leaves at least nine American troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a passing American military column on the main road opposite the courthouse in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of ar-Ramadi who witnessed the attack as saying that two bombs went off nearly simultaneously by a passing column of several US personnel carriers and Humvees. The explosions completely destroyed one of the American personnel carriers and one of the Humvees in the column. At least Nine US troops were killed and six more of them wounded in the double bombing.

Body parts of dead American troops were strewn about an area with a radius of dozens of meters from where the bombs exploded. US forces closed all the roads to the area. American helicopters were observed landing on the scene as troops gathered up the limbs and body parts of the dead and the wounded for evacuation.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in Barwanah, near al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters jointly used by US and Iraqi puppet forces in Barwanah, east of the city of al-Hadithah in western Iraq.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Barwanah as saying that the barrage sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky from inside the compound.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance attacks target Iraqi puppet troops, US soldiers in Amiriyat al-Fallujah Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 8:20pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the residential complex in Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a suburb located southwest of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad, at 7am local time Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Iraqi puppet army patrol consisted of eight soldiers who were on their way to their headquarters in the residential area from a checkpoint at the entrance to the area when the bomb exploded by them.

Six members of the patrol were killed or wounded, the correspondent reported. Following the attack, the road to the area was closed for nearly two hours following the explosion of another bomb nearby.

Then at 4pm local time Monday afternoon, three shoulder-launched SPG9 rockets into the position of a group of US snipers in Amiriyat al-Fallujah. The rocket attack inflicted damage on the building where the Americans were posted, but the nature or extent of US casualties, if any, as a result of the attack were unknown because the area was closed to the public.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in downtown al-Fallujah Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-range rockets into the US military headquarters in the middle of al-Fallujah on Sunday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Fallujah as saying that the rockets scored direct hits on the US headquarters sending plumes of smoke rising over the compound.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance sharpshooter kills US soldier guarding notorious Abu Ghurayb prison camp.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in the middle of Abu Ghurayb, some 30km west of Baghdad.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the soldier had been taking part in a US patrol keeping watch on the area around the notorious Abu Ghurayb prison. An Iraqi Resistance sharpshooters bullet struck the soldier directly in the head, killing him instantly.

Baghdad.

Iraqi Vice President Taha Yasin Ramadan tells of three weeks of savage torture following his capture by the Americans in August, September 2003.

Iraqi Vice President Taha Yasin Ramadan addressed the American-sponsored trial of Iraqi leaders in Baghdad on Monday that he was tortured savagely for more than three weeks following his capture in the second half of 2003, according to al-Jazeera satellite TV and Mafkarat al-Islam.

From 17 August to 9 September 2003, Ramadan said, he was tortured to try to force him to reveal where Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was (since at that time he had not yet been captured by the Americans). The American torturers also wanted him to cooperate with them in helping them with intelligence, and to tell them about the Resistance in Baghdad and Mosul.

Regarding the Iraqi governments prosecution of those who fomented sedition in ad-Dujayl the case that the US-run court is trying to present as a crime by the Iraqi government of Saddam Hussein Taha Yasin Ramadan said he had no connection with that issue, since he was not in ad-Dujayl, nor was he given any tasks there by the Iraqi leadership in that region.

Ramadan did say, however, that threats and enticements were being used to try to turn the defendants in the American-sponsored trial into witnesses for the prosecution. Ramadan said that Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz had been summoned by a committee of the American Justice Department to listen to a puppet Iraqi judge try top convince him to testify against Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

In other testimony, Awwad Hamad al-Bandar, the President of the Court that tried the cases of 148 Iraqi Shiah charged with attempted assassination of President Saddam Hussein in 1982, told the American-sponsored trial on Monday that he had personally issued the orders for the executions of those convicted of that plot. He added that all of them confessed to having taken part in an Iranian plot to kill President Saddam Hussein, and he said their trial had been completely legal.

Al-Bandar, the President of the Revolutionary Court at the time: They attacked the President of the Republic and they admitted that. He said, they were paid by Iran and were members of the Dawah Party, and the leadership of the Dawah Party was in Iran.

The current American-installed puppet Prime Minister of Iraq, Ibrahim al-Jafari, was himself one of the Dawah Party leaders living in Iran prior to the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, and was ready and willing to work with the US to invade and overthrow the government of his country.

The American-sponsored trial was adjourned until Wednesday, 15 March.

Resistance car bomber blasts column of mercenary security contractor vehicles in western Baghdads al-Harithiyah neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 6:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a four-wheel drive vehicle of the type used by mercenary security contractors serving the US occupation forces. The attack occurred in western Baghdads al-Harithiyah neighborhood.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Harithiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a Resistance fidai fighter drove an explosives-packed car into the path of a column of armored vehicles on al-Kindi Street in al-Harithiyah. The blast destroyed one of the cars in the column, killing or wounding four mercenaries. Three civilians who were nearby were also injured in the explosion, the correspondent reported.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in eastern Baghdads al-Amin neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Amin neighborhood of eastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Amin as saying that the bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the neighborhood blew up as a US patrol was driving past. The blast burned up an American Humvee, killing one American soldier and severely wounding two more of them.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in southwest Baghdads ar-Ridwaniyah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of US occupation forces in the ar-Ridwaniyah area to the southwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that the barrage set off explosions and sent plumes of smoke rising over the US-occupied compound. American helicopters were observed prowling the skies at low altitude over the headquarters and surrounding areas.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol in southeastern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police on the highway in southeastern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the Resistance bomb exploded near the Technology University by a passing puppet police patrol. The explosion destroyed one patrol car, killing two puppet policemen and wounding two more of them

Resistance ambush leaves five foreign mercenary security contractors dead near western Baghdads al-Ghazaliyah district.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a column of a mercenary security company working under contract with the US occupation forces in western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that more than 10 Resistance men attacked the mercenary column on the highway near western Baghdads al-Ghazaliyah area, destroying two armor-plated vehicles and killing five of the foreign mercenaries. Another four of the foreign mercenaries were wounded in the Resistance ambush. After the attack, the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area having suffered no casualties on their side.

Gangs reportedly steal cars in Israel to sell their parts in occupied Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 8pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Hebrew press was quoting informed sources on Monday that an Israeli unit specializing in combating car theft had uncovered a gang that was stealing Israeli cars for sale in occupied Iraq.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported the Zionist Maariv newspaper as saying on Monday that a gang had been stealing cars and exporting their parts to occupied Iraq via Jordan. The newspaper said that the thieves were taking advantage of lax security and openings along the border between Israel and Jordan to smuggle out the car parts for shipment to occupied Iraq.

The Zionist paper reported sources in the Israeli police as saying that the arrest of the gang proved that such groups make thorough studies in order to carry out their smuggling operations, constantly researching ways to make money.

British Defence Secretary announces plans for 10 percent cut in UK occupation forces in Iraq.

Britains Defence Secretary, John Reid, told the British House of Commons on Monday that the United Kingdom would be reducing its troop strength in Iraq by another 10 percent by May, according to a dispatch posted by Mafkarat al-Islam at 8:50pm Mecca time Monday night.

Britain has been reducing its troop strength in Iraq incrementally since it joined the US in invading the country in the spring of 2003. The United Kingdom had 46,000 military personnel in Iraq during the invasion period of March and April 2003. London then cut its troop strength to 18,000 in May 2004, and then to 8.500 in October 2005.

Reid noted, however, that British troops will remain in Iraq as long as there is a need for them and until their tasks are completed.

Resistance car bomb blasts motorcade of puppet Governor of Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the motorcade of the puppet Governor of Tikrit on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Tikrit as saying that an explosives-laden car that was parked by the side of the main road in the middle of the city blew up as the motorcade of puppet Governor Hamad al-Qaysi drove past. The explosion destroyed one of the vehicles escorting al-Qaysi, severely wounding three of his bodyguards. Al-Qaysi himself reportedly survived the assassination attempt.

Resistance bomb kills four puppet policemen, including three officers, in Tirkrit.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in the middle of Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Tikrit who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of 40 Street near an unidentified body. When the puppet police approached the body to identify and remove it, the bomb blew up, killing four puppet policemen, including three officers. Seven more puppet policemen were wounded in the blast, as were three civilians who were nearby at the time.

Four US troops reported killed in multiple bomb attack on US column south of Yathrib Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a series of Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US military column on the road to the center of the city of Yathrib, some 100km north of Baghdad on Sunday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Yathrib as saying that a number of bombs that had been planted by the side of the road south of the city blew up as a US column was driving past. The explosion destroyed two Humvees and damaged one American armored vehicle. Four US troops were killed and five more of them wounded in the multiple bomb assault.

Afterwards, American troops closed off the roads leading to the area and US helicopters were observed evacuating the American dead and wounded from the scene.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Two Resistance bombs rip through puppet Scorpion Brigade troops south of al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded nearly simultaneously by a patrol of puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Scorpion Brigade troops in al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad, on the highway that runs further south to al-Hillah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Hillah who witnessed the bombings as saying that the explosive devices went off by a passing puppet force patrol, destroying two patrol vehicles and killing five puppet Scorpion Brigade troops. Another three of the puppet soldiers were wounded in the bombing.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops near al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road to al-Miqdadiyah, about 85km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to nearby Shahraban blew up as a US column was driving by. The explosion disabled one umvee, seriously wounding three US troops.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol near al-Kawthar Square in Baqubah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the middle of the city of Baqubah, some 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The Baqubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near al-Kawthar Square in the middle of the city blew up by a puppet police patrol, destroying one patrol vehicle and killing one officer in the puppet police. Four other puppet policemen were wounded in the explosion as well.

Salman Bak.

Resistance shoots down unmanned US reconnaissance airplane Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot down an unmanned American spy plane in the Salman Bak area, some 35km southeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Salman Bak who witnessed the downing as saying that Resistance fighters opened fire with light and medium weapons on the drone reconnaissance aircraft, causing it to crash into the town on Sunday evening.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the Industrial Zone of southeastern Kirkuk.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Kirkuk as saying that the bomb explosion disabled one Humvee, wounding two American troops and two local civilians who happened to be in the area.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police patrol in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police on the main road in the ash-Shurjah area of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ash-Shurjah as saying that the bomb disabled one patrol vehicle, killing three puppet policemen and wounding two more of them. Three civilians who were in the area at the time of the blast were also wounded.

Resistance bomb wounds two US troops in eastern Mosul.

In a dispatch posted at 6:35pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road near the al-Mansur intersection in eastern Mosul.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Mosul as saying tha that the blast disabled one US vehicle, severely wounding two American troops.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road near the az-Zuhur junction in eastern Mosul.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in az-Zuhur as saying that the bomb went off as a US military patrol was driving by along the road. The blast disabled one Humvee, wounding the members of its three-man crew.

After the attack, US troops surrounded the area, preventing anyone from approaching the scene of the bombing.

Resistance bomb in al-Basrah reportedly kills two British troops.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a British military column near the Ibn al-Baytar hospital in the middle of al-Basrah in southern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Jamiyat neighborhood that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to Baghdad blew up as a British column was driving past. The explosion totally destroyed one British armored vehicle, killing two British troops and wounding three more of them.

Two prominent men abducted from near Sunni mosque in al-Basrah Monday morning.

Men in unidentified cars arrested or abducted two worshippers at the al-Kuwayti Mosque in the al-Jazair area of the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah at 10am local time Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the two men who were taken away belonged to the ar-Rifai family, an old and well-reputed family in al-Basrah and the Arabian Gulf area. The incident is believed connected with the sectarian attacks and arrests of Sunnis carried out by pro-US Shii sectarian gunmen in the aftermath of the mysterious bombing of the Shii shrine in Samarra on 22 February 2006.
