Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in Industrial Zone in al-Fallujah with mortars at noon Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:25pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in al-Fallujah’s Industrial Zone at about 12 noon local time Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that they heard explosions rock the American headquarters, sending smoke billowing over the compound.

In a separate Resistance attack, a Resistance fida’ fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US patrol near coming from outside the city at about 11am local time Friday, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported.

Four bombs, one car bomb blast US, puppet forces in al-Fallujah Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four Iraqi Resistance bombs and one Resistance car bomb blasted US and Iraqi puppet forces in a number of nearly simultaneous attacks in al-Fallujah.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one bomb exploded by a US patrol near the al-‘Abbasi Restaurant, virtually totally burning and destroying one Humvee and killing the soldiers who were aboard it, according to a lieutenant in the city traffic patrol force.

At the same time, another bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” opposite the al-Furqan Mosque in the ash-Sha‘b neighborhood. That blast left four puppet troops dead and their vehicle ablaze.

Five minutes later a third Resistance bomb blasted a US patrol on ‘Umar Hadid Street in the city, inflicting heavy damage on one US vehicle. No information on the nature or extent of casualties in that explosion was available since US forces surrounded the area immediately after the attack.

At the same time, a powerful blast shook the area near the eastern gates of the city when a bomb blew up there by a group of US occupation troops.

Then shortly before the correspondent submitted this report, an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military patrol near the Concrete Bridge in the west of al-Fallujah. At least seven American troops were killed or wounded in that attack, according to eyewitnesses who belong to the al-Muhamadah tribe who live in the area and who told the correspondent that the car bomb had been driven by a Resistance fida’i fighter.

At the time of reporting, US troops had encircled the entire city, preventing anyone from entering or leaving. Extremely large numbers of US troops were deploying in al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol on road from ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah at noon Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah suburb southwest of the city of al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad at noon on Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb went off by the patrol of four Humvees on the road running from ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah to the city of al-Fallujah. The blast completely destroyed one Humvee and US troops closed the road for about one hour as a result.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance bomb wounds US soldier Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Habbaniyah, 69km west of Baghdad, at 6pm local time Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast disabled a Humvee, wounding one US soldier.

Baghdad.

Death threat leaflets directed at Palestinians circulate in Baghdad as US-backed militias follow Zionist plan to turn Jordan into surrogate “Palestinian homeland.” Palestinians insist US responsible for fate of refugees in occupied Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Badr Brigade Shi‘i sectarian militia have distributed leaflets threatening the Palestinian refugee community in northern Baghdad’s al-Hurriyah district with death if they do not leave Iraq.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from inside the Palestinian neighborhood that dozens of leaflets were found by homes on Friday morning after being dropped there during Thursday night. The leaflets demand that the Palestinians leave Iraq within 10 days or they will be killed.

The leaflets address the Palestinians as supporters of fundamentalist “Wahhabism” and the (secular) Arab Baath Socialist Party, saying: “We warn you that we will exterminate you within 10 days if you have not departed the area.” The leaflets are signed “The Day of Reckoning Brigades.”

Despite repeated denials of responsibility by the American-installed regime of Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari, there have been frequent attacks on Palestinians in Baghdad and other parts of Iraq. Pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen have frequently issued death threats and driven Palestinian refugees from their homes and at least 14 Palestinians were murdered by the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian gunmen during the past week alone, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

A photograph of one of the threatening, anti-Palestinian leaflets can be seen at:
http://www.islammemo.cc/news/one_news.asp?IDNews=104141.

According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, there are an estimated 34,000 Palestinians in Iraq, 23,000 of them registered in Baghdad. A large percentage of them have lived in Iraq since being driven from Palestine by the Zionist occupation in 1948. Many Palestinians view the terror campaign against their community in Iraq ミ a campaign that began shortly after the American invasion in the spring of 2003 ミ as having the aim of driving them to Jordan, a country that “Israeli” Zionists have promoted as a surrogate “homeland” for Palestinians, in lieu of their real homes west of the Jordan River.

Describing the terror to which they are subjected by the pro-American militias, intent on forcing Palestinians out of Iraq, residents of the community told the Jordanian newspaper al-‘Arab al-Yawm that every day several Palestinians are killed in occupied Iraq. “They kidnap our men, pluck out their eyes or cut off their hands and they burn them with chemicals, and then we find their bodies dumped in the middle of some street.”

Recently a group of 89 Palestinians (16 families), who had been terrorized into abandoning all their belongings and leaving their homes in southern Iraq, found themselves stranded at the Jordanian border. The government in Amman, wary of being turned into the object of “Israeli” schemes to turn Jordan into a “surrogate” for Palestine, closed its borders to the Palestinians who had no valid permits to enter Jordanian territory.

Jordan immediately contacted the authorities in occupied Baghdad regarding the crisis, noting that it was provoked by the Iraqi puppet regime’s refusal to allow the Palestinians ミ holders of valid Iraqi residency papers ミ to return to Iraq. Meanwhile the 89 Palestinians, 42 of them children, were stranded in the no-man’s land between the puppet “Iraqi” and Jordanian checkpoints.

Early on Friday, the Palestinian Charg d’Affaires in Baghdad announced that Iraqi puppet border forces had finally returned the 89 Palestinians to Iraqi territory. Al-Jazeera satellite TV, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported Charg d’Affaires Dalil al-Qassus as declaring: “the 16 families of Palestinians stuck in the border zone received orders from the border forces loyal to the occupation to return to the Iraqi side of the border.” Al-Qassus gave no further details, according to the Mafkarat al-Islam report posted at 5:30am Mecca time Friday morning.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday had called on the world community and the United Nations to act immediately and swiftly to solve the problem of the refugees on the Jordanian border. A statement issued in Iraq by the Palestinian Ministry included appeals for help directed at various international institutions, calling on them to intervene to bring a halt to the massacres of Palestinians in Iraq ミ the cause that is driving them to flee the country leaving all their possessions behind.

The Director of the Department on Palestinian Refugee Affairs in the Palestine Liberation Organization, Muhammad Abu Bakr, told the Jordanian newspaper al-‘Arab al-Yawm on Wednesday that his Department in Gaza had sent urgent memoranda to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the Arab League ‘Amr Musa, and the UN High Commissioner on Refugees Antonio Guterres, requesting from them all forms of help regarding the matter of the refugees. Abu Bakr noted that it is the US military occupation of Iraq that bears responsibility for their fate.

Bodies of 12 Sunnis tortured and murdered by pro-American militia found in eastern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet police had announced the discovery of seven bodies of Sunnis in the eastern Baghdad district of al-Bunuk. The victims had been bound, blindfolded and shot to death.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Sunni youths were all worshippers in the mosque of Mulla Huwaysh in the middle of Baghdad. The youths had been arrested by pro-American Shi‘i sectarian gunmen four days earlier. The bodies showed signs of torture on their chests and heads. They had been subjected to electric shocks, their fingernails has been pulled out, and the tongue of one of the victims had been cut out.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of five more Sunni youths had been found tortured and shot to death by Iraqi puppet police, this time in the at-Tariq neighborhood of eastern Baghdad. A source in the Iraqi puppet police said that three of the men were identified by papers found in the clothing on the bodies.

Unknown armed men attack bakery in mysterious raid that left five bakery workers dead.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown men armed with light machine guns attacked a bakery in western Baghdad’s as-Sayyidiyah district killing five workers.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an Iraqi puppet security source as saying that the armed men left the scene when the puppet police arrived. The source said that as a puppet police first Lieutenant approached the bakery an unknown object exploded killing the officer and wounding another puppet policeman. At the time of reporting, US forces were still surrounding the scene of the strange attack.

Diyala Province.
Al-Khalis.

Bomb blasts worshippers as they leave Sunni mosque in al-Khalis, at least seven reported killed.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a bomb had exploded outside the Sunni Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas Mosque in al-Khalis, 60km north of Baghdad as worshippers were filing out after Friday congregational prayers.

The al-Khalis correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bmob had been planted under the threshold of the mosque gate and that the explosion killed or wounded 22 worshippers, some of them children.

Sunnis in al-Khalis, a city with a mixed Sunni and Shi‘i population, blamed the pro-American Badr Brigades for planting the bomb. The Badr Brigades have been actively attempting to provoke sectarian strife in Iraq in keeping with Anglo-American efforts to partition the country along religious sectarian and ethnic lines.

In a dispatch posted at 6:10pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier over 1,000 mourners had set out to the local Martyrs’ Cemetery carrying the biers of seven people killed in the midday sectarian attack. Fifteen more victims of the bombing lay wounded in the city hospital late Friday afternoon.

At-Ta’mim Province.
Ar-Riyad.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier southwest of Kirkuk Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 8:10pm Mecca time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Humvee in the ar-Riyad area, 25km southwest of Kirkuk, at 6:30pm local time Friday evening.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the explosion left one American soldier dead and three more of them wounded.

After the attack, US troops surrounded the area and began an extensive campaign of raids and searches.

Witnesses in ar-Riyad recalled that their town had witnessed another Resistance bombing just the day before, Thursday. A US Humvee was also destroyed in that incident, they said.

Kirkuk.

Ferocious Resistance rocket and mortar assault pummels US base in Kirkuk Airport Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 7:10pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had pummeled Kirkuk International Airport ミ a facility that US forces have taken over and turned into thei main base in the area ミ with an ferocious barrage of 22 Katyusha rockets and heavy mortar rounds.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the vicinity of Kirkuk airport that violent explosion shook the American-occupied base, as thick smoke billowed into the sky.

In response, US forces fired incandescent rockets into the sky as sirens wailed inside the airport. About five minutes after the Resistance attack four US helicopters were seen hovering at low altitude in the area of the American base.

Al-Hawijah.

US launches campaign of raids, searches, arrests in al-Hawijah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US and Iraqi puppet forces launched an offensive against the city of al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq at dawn on Friday.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that dozens of US and Iraqi puppet army vehicles with air cover from American helicopters launched a military operation in al-Hawijah at dawn. US and puppet troops are raiding and searching houses and farms of local residents, the Americans and their Iraqi puppet allies have even searched sheep pens and other belongings of the inhabitants and many people have been arrested, in a sweep apparently targeted on the Sunni members of the community.

The correspondent reported that as of the time of reporting there had been no shooting incidents in the area.

Ninwa Province.
Mosul.

Prompted by US organizations and backed by pro-US Kurdish separatists and American neo-Conservatives, Christian group demands separate “Christian region” as American efforts to partition Iraq accelerate and diversify.

Enlarging on efforts by the US occupation to split Iraq into mini-states on sectarian religious and ethnic lines, a Christian group in northern Iraq has made its appearance with a demand that a separate Christian state be established in addition to Sunni Arab, Shi‘i Arab, and Kurdish statelets.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Christian organization calling itself the “Christian Beloved” (al-Ahbab al-Masihiyah) demanded that a Christian region be established in northern Iraq to embrace all the Christians living in the areas of al-Qawsh (some 45km north of Mosul) and Tall ‘Afar (about 55km west of Mosul).

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a number of residents of those areas ミ the population of which is largely Syriac, Chaldean, and Assyrian Christian ミ as saying that American and Iraqi Christian organizations have been working for several months on convening an broad-based congress of Chrisitan sects to demand the establishment of an exclusively Christian region.

The correspondent reported that the pro-American Kurdish separatist parties headquartered in northern Iraq have been giving strong support to such Christian sectarian schemes.

Numbering only about 800,000 and constituting about 3 percent of the Iraqi population, Christian Iraqis live mostly in the country’s large cities ミ Baghdad, Mosul, and al-Basrah ミ as well as a number of villages in the north of the country such as Tall Kayf, which is just north of Mosul and Qarah Qawsh, which lies to the east of that city. The relatively small Christian community is divided into several sects, among them Nestorians, Jacobites, Catholics, Protestants, Syriac, Chaldean, Assyrian, Armenian, and Sabatean.

The idea of partitioning Iraq on sectarian and ethnic lines was broached on 25 November 2003 by American Neo-Conservative Leslie Gelb in his article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times. The same theme was taken up by a Gareth Stansfield, a British fellow of the Royal Institute for International Affairs and the American political scientist Liam Anderson in their book The Future of Iraq published in 2004.

Since then, new variations on the partition idea have emerged. Already one year ago, American Neo-Conservative and Zionist columnist Arnold Beichman of the right-wing Washington Times, laid the groundwork for sectarian strife and separatist demands for the establishment of an Iraqi “Christian region” in an article that appeared on 29 March 2005. In that article, Beichman made the claim that Iraqi Muslims were waging a “war” of extermination against Iraqi Christians and that this “war” would continue until every Christian individual and every Christian church had been wiped out. Such claims, though without any basis in fact, are nevertheless used to stoke suspicion and conflict between religious communities with the aim of further fragmenting Iraq and facilitating the Anglo-American and Zionist goal of regional hegemony.

Al-Basrah Province.
Al-Basrah.

Resistance bomb blasts Danish patrol north of al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a Danish foot patrol in the al-Latif area of northern al-Basrah in southern Iraq.

The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosion severely wounded two Danish soldiers. Immediately after the blast, other Danish troops rushed tot eh area and began closing off the area. They also closed the main highway from al-Basrah to Baghdad which runs near the scene of the Resistance attack. Helicopters were called in to evacuate the wounded Danish troops.

Danish occupation troops control areas in the north of al-Basrah. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that attacks on the Danes have increased following the publication of anti-Islamic cartoons in the Danish media.
