Al-Anbar Province.

Hit.

US launches campaign of mass raids and arrests in western city of Hit Friday night.

In a dispatch posted at 8:25pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time of reporting US forces accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies were carrying out a campaign of mass raids and arrests of youths in the city of Hit, about 140km northwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported dozens of US and Iraqi puppet troops had stormed into the city from the west, surrounded specific areas and then proceeded to carry out what he described as arbitrary raids and arrests.

The correspondent noted that the Hit neighborhoods that US and puppet troops had not yet raided were put under curfew, implying that the Americans were planning to extend the scope of their sweep throughout the entire city.

Al-Qaim.

Resistance bomb near al-Qaim leaves two US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on a farm road in the area of al-Karabilah, east of al-Qaim near the border with Syria.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Karabilah as saying that the bomb completely destroyed a US Humvee, killing two American soldiers and seriously wounding two more of them.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance bombards US-occupied al-Warrar Base west of ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar roundsinto the headquarters of US occupation troops in Camp al-Warrar, west of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage set of explosions within the American-occupied camp and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance bomb destroys US tank, leaving three American troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road in al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalidiyah as saying that the bomb completely destroyed an American tank, killing three US troops and wounding two more.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance barrage reportedly kills two US troops in al-Fallujah Thursday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters unleashed a violent attack on the US military headquarters in eastern al-Fallujah on Thursday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Fallujah puppet police as saying that the US headquarters came under a Resistance barrage of heavy 120mm mortar rounds that inflicted large-scale damage of some buildings in the camp, killing two US troops and wounding 13 more of them, some seerely.

Baghdad.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Durah as saying that the bomb destroyed a Humvee, killing or wounding the four US troops aboard it.

Mysterious bomb targets civilian market in northern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb exploded in the Sab al-Bur market in northern Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Sab al-Bur as saing that an explosives-laden car that had been left by the side of the main road in the market was detonated by remote control.� The blast killed 16 civilians and wounded 13, witnesses said.

In contrast to Iraqi Resistance attacks, which have clear and defined targets occupation troops or armed forces, officials, or collaborators with the US-installed puppet regime the latest wave of attacks appear targeted exclusively on civilians.

Such mysterious attacks are widely viewed as a part of an Anglo-American effort to rescue their failing fortunes in Iraq by sparking a sectarian civil war in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.

Yathrib.

Resistance mortar round blasts US airbase near Yathrib.

In a dispatch posted at 6:05pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired an 82mm mortar shell into the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base near the city of Yathrib, about 100km north of Baghadad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the mortar round set of explosions inside the compound and sent plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Diyala Province.

Al-Mundhiriyah.

Bodies of four pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen found shot to death near Iranian border.

In a dispatch posted at 9:15pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of four members of the pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigades were found in the middle of the town of al-Mundhiriyah on the Iranian border.

The al-Mundhiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army who asked not to be identified as saying that the bodies were found in the al-Qassabin neighborhood on Friday. The had been shot in their heads, chests, and abdomens.� The source said that the local puppet police identified them as members of the al-Mundhiriyah branch of the pro-American Badr Brigade militia.

Baqubah.

Mysterious bombs kill worshippers following Friday prayers.

In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two mysterious bombs exploded as worshippers were leaving mosques in the city of Baqubah, some 65km northeast of Baghdad early Friday afternoon.

The Baqubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the first bomb went off as people were leaving the al-Aqsa Mosque and the second bomb exploded as worshippers left the Sad ibn Muadh Mosque in the city.� In all, five people were killed and seven more wounded in the mysterious bombings.

As with Fridays bomb attack on a market in northern Baghdad, such mysterious attacks are seen a part of an Anglo-American effort to spark sectarian violence in the country enabling them to fulfill their plans of partitioning the country along ethnic and religious lines.� Official figures released by the Iraqi puppet regime and reported by the BBC on Friday indicated that an estimated 65,000 Iraqis have been driven from their homes in sectarian violence following the 22 February bombing of a Shii mosque in Samarra.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police station in al-Mawsil Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fidai fighter drove a car bomb into a puppet police station in al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance fighter drove an explosives-laden car into the an-Nabi Yunus puppet police station in the city, destroying parts of the building and killing one puppet policeman.� Six other puppet police were wounded in the attack.

Resistance bomb wounds British troops in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a British military column in the ash-Shabiyah district of western al-Basrah in southern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in the ash-Shabiyah section of al-Basrah as saying that the explosives-laden car, which was parked by a road near the entrance to the district blew up next to British troops, destroying one British armored vehicle and wounding four British soldiers, two of them severely.
