Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Qaim.

Resistance car bomber blasts checkpoint reportedly killing or wounding US, Iraqi puppet troops in al-Qaim Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 7:50pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance fidai fighter drove a car bomb into a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet troops in the middle of al-Qaim near the Syrian border in western Iraq.

The al-Qaim correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the city fire department directorate as saying that the blast killed or wounded all the troops at the checkpoint. The source confirmed that at the time of reporting American forces were evacuating the bodies of their Marines via helicopter from the area, but had left behind at least five dead Iraqi puppet soldiers who worked for them at the checkpoint. This is in keeping with standard American practice, one that has greatly reduced the image of the puppet troops in the eyes of the population who view them as nothing but servants waiting on the American soldiers.

At the time of reporting, US troops were deploying around the area as helicopters fired flares into the sky and tanks could be heard rumbling in the distance.

Ar-Ramadi.

American warplanes raze one of ar-Ramadis largest mosques to the ground.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, US warplanes rocketed one of the biggest mosques in the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, totally destroying the place of worship.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes blasted the al-Aziz al-Hakim Mosque in the middle of the city with three rockets, totally destroying it. The attack wrecked the minaret, the dome and the prayer hall as well as the room for the imam and preacher of the mosque. The mosque office and the area for ablutions and worship by women were also totally razed to the ground.

Because of the dangerous situation obtaining in that part of the city and the difficulty of reaching the mosque, there was no immediate information on whether there had been any casualties in the American assault on the Muslim place of worship.

Resistance car bomber blasts US camp as violent battle erupts in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 2:53pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance fidai fighter drove a car bomb into a US military camp in the city of ar-Ramadi, as fierce fighting erupted in the middle of the city between Resistance forces and US occupation troops.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance fighter blasted his explosives-laden car through the cement barriers and into the gate of the Iraqi Military Affairs Building which US forces have occupied and turned into a military base for themselves in the city.

The blast inflicted heavy damage on the American camp, killing or wounding five US troops, among them a number of US snipers who had been on the roof of the structure.

Meanwhile heavy fighting broke out in the city as Resistance fighters fired light and medium weapons, pipe rockets, and mortars at US troops. Because of the intensity of the combat no information on the nature or extent of casualties was initially available.

Hit.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol leaving three American troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the industrial zone of eastern Hit, about 140km northwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that a bomb that had been planted beside a side street in the industrial zone of eastern Hit blew up by a passing patrol of four US Humvees at about 8:40 local time. One Humvee was totally destroyed in the blast and three American troops killed. A fourth US soldier was severely wounded in the explosion.

The remains of the US vehicle and body parts of the dead Americans could be seen scattered as far as 10 meters from the place where the bomb exploded.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance mortar barrage blasts US, Iraqi puppet army troops in Jazirat al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 9:40am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into a group of US occupation soldiers and Iraqi puppet army troops in the Jazirat al-Khalidiyah area, about 80km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Jazirat al-Khalidiyah as saying that the US and Iraqi puppet troops came under bombardment near the houses that they had stolen from local residents in the al-Bu Hazim Village in Jazirat al-Khalidiyah. The mortar rounds scored direct hits on the US and Iraqi puppet army soldiers, but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available because American and Iraqi puppet forces quickly cordoned off the target zone, preventing anyone from approaching.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards US camp in Amiriyat al-Fallujah Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 10pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired mortars at the US headquarters in Amiriyat al-Fallujah, a suburb some 7km southwest of the city of al-Fallujah on Monday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saing that some of the mortar shells blasted the US camp directly. US helicopters were seen after the attack prowling the skies in the area.

Resistance fighters ambush US patrol in northern al-Fallujah Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 9:40am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military patrol in the al-Muallimin neighborhood of northern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Sunday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Fallujah who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a US patrol damaging a patrol vehicle and wounding two US troops. The Resistance fighters then withdrew after the attack, which took place at 8pm local time Sunday evening.

Baghdad.

Massive puppet regime, Shii sectarian assault under watchful encouragement of US forces on predominantly Sunni al-Azamiyah neighborhood of Baghdad. Heavy fighting reported from shortly after midnight through Monday evening. Thirty-five puppet troops, militiamen captured as local residents defiantly resist attacking forces.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting raged between residents of the northern Baghdad district of al-Azamiyah and Iraqi puppet army troops on Sunday-Monday night and until dawn on Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Azamiyah as saying that the fighting broke out when Iraqi puppet army troops tried to storm into the district to carry out a campaign of mass arrests among the local population. But dozens of local residents had been murdered after having been arrested by the puppet Iraqi regime troops, and the people of al-Azamiyah therefore put up a fight.

Residents armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets repelled the assault by puppet regime troops, setting two of their vehicles ablaze. Several houses in the area were damaged in the fighting. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available because the curfew was in force at the time of the fighting.

Pro-American puppet forces, sectarian gunmen renew attack after sunrise Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Shii sectarian militias backed by puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) on Monday morning launched a major attack from all sides on the al-Azamiyah section of Baghdad. The attacking pro-American forces were firing mortars and shoulder-launched rockets as well as light arms in their assault on the neighborhood which had repulsed a puppet regime attack during the night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-Azamiyah that eyewitnesses reported the attacking pro-American sectarians were still attacking at the time of reporting and that neither the puppet National Guard nor the American occupation troops had intervened to stop the assault. The Americans were in fact observing the progress of the sectarian militia attack from a distance.

Local residents were putting up a fierce resistance to the hated militias who have captured, tortured, and murdered hundreds of Iraqis, most of them Sunni, under the benevolent eyes of the United States.

As of the time of reporting, the attackers had destroyed several homes and killed or wounded dozens of local residents of al-Azamiyah.

US forces help stoke sectarian fighting.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that dozens of residents of the predominantly Shii district of al-Kazimiyah had reportedly set off with arms intent on attacking the neighboring area of al-Azamiyah

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the pro-American Shii sectarian youths were armed with light and medium weapons and mortars when they passed in front of US and Iraqi puppet troops on their way to attack the largely Sunni neighborhood. The US occupation forces were apparently encouraging Shii sectarian attacks against a Sunni neighborhood. The only American activity that appeared in response to the sectarian mob attack was that US helicopters were observed prowling the skies over al-Azamiyah in an effort to prevent local residents from defending themselves.

Association of Muslim Scholars issues Urgent Appeal on behalf of defenders of al-Azamiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Association of Muslim Scholars had issued an urgent appeal to stop the assault on al-Azamiyah by members of the puppet security forces and Shii sectarian militias.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a statement issued by the Association as saying that puppet Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) backed up by Shii sectarian militias had been attacking al-Azamiyah since 1am local time Monday morning. Fierce fighting was still going on, the statement said, adding that a numer of local residents had been killed or wounded in the assault.

The statement noted that the puppet regime was maintaining silence over the attack and the US forces were standing aside watching as the puppet troops and sectarian militias behave in a way indicating that they plan to inflict the maximum damage on al-Azamiyah.

The Association of Muslim Scholars, the highest Sunni Religious authority in occupied Iraq, called on the Arab League, the United Nations, and related organizations to respond to this call urgently. The Association hailed the defiance of the people of al-Azamiyah for their noble defense of their neighborhood in the face of this aggression. It called on them to persist until God brings relief.

Meanwhile the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Azamiyah reported that local residents backed up by Iraqi Resistance forces had captured 35 of the members of the attacking puppet Shock Troop forces and the pro-American Shii sectarian Badr Brigades. The prisoners have been taken to the historic Abu Hanifah an-Numan Cathedral Mosque under heavy guard. This fact was confirmed by a member of the Association of Muslim Scholars who also affirmed that among the prisoners were high-ranking officers in the puppet Interior Ministry who were supervising the aggression.

US troops seal off al-Azamiyah from Sunnis coming to help while they facilitate advance and attacks by Shi sectarian gunmen on local citizens. Hospital sources report: women, children among the dead.

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the situation had become very grave after US occupation forces had surrounded al-Azamiyah on all sides, preventing Sunnis from other parts of Baghdad from coming to the aid of the beleaguered residents of the district. On the other hand, the US forces were facilitating the advance of their sectarian Shii militia allies against the residents of the neighborhood, as they continue to push for a sectarian civil war in Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local witnesses as saying that the residents had been able to push cement barriers and rubble to the end of local streets to block access to them and obstruct the advance of the sectarian pro-American attackers. The makeshift barricades were so formidable that no vehicle was able to surmount them.

A large percentage of local residents had spread out in the streets to protect their district and the lives of their neighbors threatened by the Shii sectarian militias and the puppet regimes shock troops who are well known for hundreds of cases of gruesome abductions, tortures, and murders of Sunni citizens. A number of local resident sharpshooters have taken cover atop the roofs of tall buildings, ready to repulse attackers.

The correspondent reported that some of the pro-American Shii sectarian gunmen were equipped with recently made Iranian machine guns. Witnesses in the al-Kurnish area in the west of the district reported seeing the bodies of four pro-American gunmen and next to them Iranian made machine guns.

A doctor in an-Numan Hosptial in al-Azamiyah told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that so far more than 15 martyred local residents had been brought to his facility, among them women and children. Given the intensity of the fighting, which was heavier than anything experienced since 2003, the doctor expected the number of casualties to increase in coming hours.

The doctor said that no bodies of the attacking gunmen had been brought to his hospital because whenever the bodies were within reach of local people, they threw the corpses unceremoniously into the Tigris River.

Dozens of Resistance reinforcements enter al-Azamiyah Monday afternoon to bolster defenses and prepare for what appears to be a hard night of fighting ahead.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that dozen of Iraqi Resistance fighters had entered al-Azamiyah a short while earlier in order to join local residents in their struggle against attacking pro-American sectarians and puppet security forces.

The al-Azamiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that dozens of Resistance fighters were deploying in the streets of the district to make ready for what local people expected would be a hard night of fighting as sunset Monday approached.

The correspondent reported that the fighters appeared in the streets bearing various types of weapons to bolster the local residents in defense of their neighborhoods.

The Resistance fighters who came in and deployed on Monday afternoon were the first groups to come into the district from the outside. A number of armed Iraqi Resistance organizations were already active in the area fighting alongside local residents to repulse the aggression of the puppet regime troops and their pro-American sectarian militia allies.

Savage fighting erupts on Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz Street Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment fierce fighting was raging between residents of al-Azamiyah and Iraqi Resistance fighters on one side and the joint forces of pro-American Shii sectarian militias and puppet Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) on the other. The battle was under way on Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz Street in the district.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Azamiyah reported that four pro-American militia pickups had been completely destroyed in the violent fighting. Local residents report seeing numerous bodies of pro-American gunmen strewn about the middle of the street.

The correspondent noted that a short while earlier an official spokesman for the US-installed puppet government of Ibrahim al-Jafari had announced that the al-Azamiyah incidents had ended and that the puppet regime would be launching an investigation into the bloodshed. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent commented that this was the sort of statement that the American-installed regime always issued every time there are sectarian attacks directed at Iraqi Sunnis in an effort to spark civil war to rescue the flagging fortunes of the US occupation.

Uneasy calm settles over al-Azamiyah as night falls.

In a dispatch posted at 8:05pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an uneasy calm had at last settled in over al-Azamiyah after Iraqi Resistance reinforcements had deployed in the streets and lanes of the district alongside local armed residents in anticipation of renewed fighting.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance fighters and local men had blocked all streets heading to residential areas with barricades of concrete, stone, and other materials designed to keep vehicles out.

Unprecedentedly large swarms of US helicopter gun ships prowl the skies at low menacing altitudes. Puppet troops wearing the uniform of the Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) were stationed in organized groups outside the perimeter of al-Azamiyah. From time to time the sound of medium machine guns resounded, the correspondent reported, but it was impossible to say for sure where they were coming from.

Meanwhile, a Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the Mahallat ash-Shaykh Maruf al-Karakhi area of central Baghdad as saying that five bodies washed up on the banks of the Tigris river. They were bullet ridden and are believed to be the remains of pro-American Shii sectarian gunmen or puppet troops who were killed in the assault on al-Azamiyah earlier in the day.

The Association stated that the Americans also took prisoner Hasan Mudin and his four sons: Ayyub, Mahmud, Muhammad, and Ahmad.
