Irbil Province.

Irbil.

Pro-American Kurdish separatist authorities issue racist regulations banning Arab Iraqis from entering Irbil.

The US installed Kurdish separatist regime in Irbil has banned Arab Iraqis from coming to the city.

According to the correspondent for Quds Press, local Kurdish puppet authorities, led by the pro-American Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by Masud Barzani, issued an order prohibiting Iraqi Arabs from entering the city. Arabs may only enter Irbil if they have a Kurdish sponsor in the city, according to the new regulation which kept the Quds Press correspondent himself out of the city.

According to the correspondent, there are dozens of Iraqis who have been fleeing the sectarian violence in the rest of the country for the relative calm of the north. These people are now being denied entrance to the northern Iraqi city because of their ethnicity.

Iraqi Arabs already in the city reportedly have been subjected to intensive searches and interrogations following the passage of the new regulations. Although such crackdowns on Arabs have taken place in the past, this is the first time the a wholesale ban on Arabs has been instituted.

According to the new regulations any Arab Iraqi desiring to enter Irbil must first find a Kurdish sponsor. That sponsor must appear in person at the checkpoint at the entrance to the city and sign a pledge that he will act as personal guarantor of the Arab party whom he takes back into the city with him.

Al-Basrah Province.

Al-Basrah.

Car bomb blasts armored column north of al-Basrah Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance fidai fighters drove a car bomb into an armored column on the al-Basrah Baghdad Road near the paper mill in the al-Harithah area about 12km north of al-Basrah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that British occupation troops surrounded the area and cut the road to Baghdad following the attack. As is their usual practice, they released no information regarding their losses.

The attack comes at a time when al-Basrah is already extremely tense. British occupation forces have imposed a night-time curfew in the southern city for the first time since the occupation in 2003 and a large number of corrupt puppet policemen have been arrested, according to British announcements, from the same area where the Thursday morning car bombing took place.

US-installed Shii sectarian Prime Minister al-Jafari orders hundreds of ethnic Arab refugees expelled and handed over to Iranian authorities.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US-installed Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jafari had issued an order to expel hundreds of Arab refugees from Iran living in the south of Iraq, a number of them for many years.

The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Basrah puppet police as saying that an official direction had been issued to the al-Basrah puppet police command ordering them to expel the families from Irans al-Ahwaz province who were living in al-Basrah and in the other southern Iraqi city of al-Amarah in Maysan Province. The families, members of the Arab ethnic minority that felt persecuted at the hands of the Iranian government, have in many cases been living in the southeast of Iraq since before the American invasion in 2003.

The puppet police source said that the puppet Prime Ministers directive covers the Education Department of al-Basrah and contained an order that all Ahwazi school children and students be expelled from schools in al-Basrah and al-Amarah. The source said that the number of Ahwazi residents in al-Basrah was in the hundreds and the same was the case in al-Amarah. Many of them have been in Iraq since the time when President Saddam Husayns time, the source said.

As to where the Ahwazi refugees are supposed to go after being expelled from al-Basrah and al-Amarah, the source said that the Jafari regime had apparently ordered that they be handed over to the Iranian authorities the regime from which they fled. The correspondent reported that local people in al-Basrah believed that the refugees faced certain death if they were returned to Iran.

Many of the refugees reportedly are using these present hours to hurriedly pack up and move to the predominantly Sunni areas of the country al-Fallujah, al-Mawsil, Diyala Province in the hopes that there they might be less accessible to the security forces of the American-installed Iraqi puppet regime.
