イラク駐留米兵が楽しく歌う「虐殺賛美」歌謡が問題化
イラク駐留の海兵隊員が歌を作った。好評で、ある時ステージにあげられて歌った。それを誰かがビデオに撮ってネットで公開した。その歌詞の内容がとんでもないものであったため、さすがの海兵隊も調査に乗り出した。
“Ｈａｄｊｉ Ｇｉｒｌ”という題名のこのビデオは、イラクにいる海兵隊員がイラク人の娘と結婚させてくれと彼女の実家に行ったが、結婚を反対されて、その腹いせに家族を虐殺する様子を「おもしろおかしく」歌っている。
イラク駐留米兵の心のすさみ具合を象徴するような歌詞といえるだろう。

WASHINGTON: A music video posted on the Internet telling a tale about a US Marine killing members of an Iraqi family is being condemned by an Islamic group and investigated by the Marine Corps.
The four-minute video, called 'Hadji Girl', appears to be sung by a Marine in front of a cheering audience. The lyrics talk about the Marine gunning down members of an Iraqi woman's family after they confront him with automatic weapons.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Marine Corps is investigating whether a Marine did anything wrong by singing an obscenity laced song to a laughing and cheering crowd of fellow U.S. troops in Iraq making light of killing Iraqis.
A four-minute video of the performance, posted on the Internet, showed Cpl. Joshua Belile, who returned home from Iraq in March, singing lyrics about encountering an Iraqi woman and her family.
He sings, "I grabbed her little sister and put her in front of me. As the bullets began to fly, the blood sprayed from between her eyes, and then I laughed maniacally." In the background, laughing, clapping and cheers can be heard.
