Resistance car bomber blasts US encampment in al-Fallujah Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a huge explosion shook a US military encampment located in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported hat the blast went off in a house in the as-Sajar area outside the center of the city, igniting a big fire. US helicopters and vehicles closed off the area making information on the nature and extent of US casualties impossible to obtain. Witnesses who were lined up at the nearby fuel station when the blast occurred confirmed to the correspondent that a Resistance fida’i fighter had attacked the camp set up in the local house with an explosives-laden car.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance attacks in al-Hadithah leave three American troops reported killed.

In a dispatch posted at 9:54am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters carried out two attacks on US forces in the city of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah as saying that in the first attack, an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road opposite the former Teachers Training Institute, a facility that US forces have taken over and turned into one of their local headquarters. The blast destroyed a Humvee, killing two US troops and wounding two more of them. A third US soldier who was on observation duty atop the Teacher’s Training Institute was shot and killed by an Iraqi Resistance marksman.

Bodies of five puppet army soldiers found in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police found the bodies of five puppet army soldiers abducted by the Iraqi Resistance in the southern Baghdad suburb of ‘Arab Jabbur. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in ad-Durah as saying that the bodies belonged to four privates and one sergeant in the Iraqi puppet army. The bodies were identified and handed over to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry.”

Resistance bomb blasts puppet “Shock Troop” patrol in western Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:13pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in western Baghdad’s al-Jihad district. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Jihad as saying that the bomb disabled a patrol vehicle, killing a member of the “Maghawir” and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bombards pro-American Badr Brigades in at-Taji with heavy mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 9:56am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade headquarters in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in at-Taji as saying that the barrage scored direct hits on the sectarian militia headquarters, sending smoke rising into the sky. Ambulances were seen heading to the facility, but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Resistance fighters ambush supply convoy near ad-Dulu‘iyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a convoy loaded with provisions for US occupation bases in the area of ad-Dulu‘iyah, 97km north of Baghdad. The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Dulu‘iyah as saying that Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light and medium weapons attacked a supply convoy hauling provisions to US bases The attack disabled two trucks, killing their drivers who were working for the American occupation forces.

Tikrit.

Resistance car bomber blasts memorial service for collaborator contractor.

In a dispatch posted at 9pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a memorial service for a contractor who collaborated with the US occupation forces in Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad. The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the contractor had died two days before and that most of those attending the memorial meeting were friends and relatives of the collaborator. The correspondent reported that emergency services had at that point been unable to extract the bodies of the dead and wounded because an unexploded car bomb was still present at the door of the building.

Iraq Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the middle of Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Tikrit as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the main road in the west of the city disabled a US Humvee. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available, however, because American forces surrounded the area where the attack took place and opened fire indiscriminately to keep people from approaching.

Ad-Dujayl.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy on its way to al-Bakr Air Base north of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:11am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a supply convoy laded with materiel on its way to the al-Bakr Air Base ﾐ which the Americans have occupied and dubbed “Camp Anaconda” ﾐ about 70km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Dujayl, about 55km north of Baghdad, as saying that the Resistance bomb went off by a US convoy on its way to the base, completely destroying one of the trucks and also its cargo.

Resistance fighters ambush US patrol in al-Mawsil wounding four Americans.

In a dispatch posted at 1:13pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US military patrol on the main road in the al-Yarmuk neighborhood of southwestern al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Yarmuk as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the patrol as it was driving along the road opposite the Abu Tammam Exchange in the neighborhood. The attack damaged two US vehicles, wounding four American troops, one of them severely.

In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the northeastern Iraqi town of ar-Rabi‘ah, not far from the Syrian frontier. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Rabi‘ah as saying that a bomb that had been planted next to the main road in the town went off by the puppet “National Guard” patrol, destroying one of the “Guards’” pickup trucks and wounding four puppet “Guards.”

Resistance blasts British headquarters in al-Basrah with Katyusha rockets.

In a dispatch posted at 11:47am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired nine medium-range Katyusha rockets at the British occupation headquarters in the presidential palaces in the middle of al-Basrah in southern Iraq. The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Barradi‘i district as saying that the rockets scored direct hits on the British headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising from various parts of the base.
