Powerful Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Qa’im. American dead and wounded reported.

In a dispatch posted at 7:45pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by a US military column in the “12 Rabi‘ al-Awwal” neighborhood of al-Qa’im, nor far from the Syrian border in western Iraq. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses living in the area as saying that the blast destroyed a Humvee, killing or wounding all the Americans aboard it.

The witnesses said that that explosion was so powerful that it shattered some window glass in nearby buildings. One witness said the explosion and shrapnel hurled one of the American soldiers out of the Humvee, killing him instantly. At the time of reporting US forces were surrounding the area and American helicopters were prowling the skies overhead. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US was keeping more than 1,000 Marines in the city of al-Qa’im in addition to 3,000 Iraqi puppet troops, but they had still been unable to put a stop to Resistance attacks.

Ar-Ramadi.

American troops kill Resistance fighter who was planting a bomb in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had shot and killed an Iraqi Resistance fighter as he was planting a bomb in the path of American troops in the al-Mal‘ab area of eastern ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops spotted two Resistance men planting a bomb and immediately opened fire on them from about 300 meters away, killing one of them. The second Resistance fighter was able to get away.

Afterwards American troops surrounded the area and disarmed the bomb while others launched a search for the second fighter, witnesses said. The correspondent reported that when the US troops left they took the body of the dead Resistance fighter with them.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb wrecks US Humvee in as-Saqlawiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road south of as-Saqlawiyah, just northwest of al-Fallujah The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Saqlawiyah as saying that the bomb went off on a street in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood, disabling a Humvee and killing or wounding the four US troops aboard it.

Resistance fighters ambush US column Monday night.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military column on the main road near the ‘Amiriyah ﾐ Siyahiyah crossing southwest of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. One Humvee was totally destroyed and a second American vehicle disabled.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Bu ‘Isa village as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the column late on Monday night, completely destroying a Humvee and disabling a second vehicle. The correspondent was unable to ascertain the nature or extent of US casualties because the attack took place during curfew hours.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the former Directorate of Education in al-Hadithah, a facility commandeered by the American occupation forces and turned into one of their local headquarters. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad, as saying that the barrage set off explosions inside the American-occupied facility and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Abu Ghurayb.

Two heavy mortar shells explode in headquarters of notorious Abu Ghurayb prison camp.

In a bulletin posted at 5pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two mortar rounds landed in the headquarters of the notorious American prison Abu Ghurayb. The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the az-Zaytunah neighborhood as saying that two explosions shoo the prison and it was later learned that they were the result of two incoming heavy 120mm mortar rounds.

Baghdad.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier on patrol in south Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 7:20pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah Tuesday afternoon.

The ad-Durah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a US foot patrol began moving through the area in a systematic way starting at 12 noon local time. Then, at about 2:20pm one of the American soldiers, who was standing near the as-Salam Stores in the area took a direct hit in the head from an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet and died instantly.

Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that US forces surrounded the area where the attack took place and began raids and searches. They arrested six local residents and then put the body of the dead soldier in a Humvee that took it to the Sukkaniya base, which the Americans share with Iraqi puppet troops, located south of the city.

Three Resistance bombs target puppet police patrols in eastern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 2pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by puppet police patrols in the an-Nahdah car park area in eastern Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that three bombs went off in succession in places near to each other in the area of the an-Nahdah garage. The bombs targeted puppet police patrols, disabling two patrol vehicles and a bus for travelers. Four puppet policemen and five civilians were killed and eight others ﾐ three of them puppet policemen ﾐ wounded.

Resistance sharpshooter kills two Iraqi puppet “Guards” at checkpoint.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the al-Jami‘ah neighborhood of western Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Jami‘ah neighborhood as saying that two puppet “Guards” were manning a temporary checkpoint on the main road leading to the ash-Shurtah tunnel when Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullets struck and killed them.

Mysterious bomb targets Baghdad’s biggest market, killing 12.

In a dispatch posted at 11:22am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious bomb exploded in the ash-Shurjah Market in the middle of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported shopkeepers in the market who witnessed the bombing as saying that the bomb had been planted by the side of the road with a pile of refuse from the market, the largest such commercial market in the occupied Iraqi capital. Witnesses said that the blast killed 12 people and wounded more than 62 others.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in as-Sayyidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Order Protection Police” on the main road in as-Sayyidiyah in southern Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Sayyidiyah as saying that the bomb disabled a pickup and killed or wounded the five puppet policemen who were aboard it.

US locks down Samarra’ following Monday Resistance attack on puppet “Shock Troop” headquarters.

In a dispatch posted at 7:05pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that following a Resistance bomb attack on the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” that left 40 of the puppet troops dead or wounded, American forces implemented large-scale “security measures” beginning at dawn on Tuesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that large numbers of US troops deployed throughout Samarra’ closing the main roads as puppet police began house-to-house raids and searches in various neighborhoods of the city. Many local merchants closed up their shops in Samarra’ and went home for fear of arrest ﾐ as anyone seen outdoors by the Americans and their puppet police allies are liable to be rounded up as “suspects.”

Balad.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee south of Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30pam Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a a US military column in Balad on the road running southeast to ad-Dujayl. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Balad, about 85km north of Baghdad, as saying that the bomb destroyed a US Humvee. American occupation troops quickly surrounded the area preventing information on the nature and extent of casualties from getting out.

Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance bombards puppet “National Guard” camp south of al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds at the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” camp in the Muwaylihah area south of al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the camp.
