Resistance bombards US base west of ar-Ramadi with seven Khattab rockets Tuesday evening.

In a bulletin posted at 8:12pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier the Iraqi Resistance had fired at least seven Khattab rockets into the US base west of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time of reporting thick smoke was billowing up from the US base where the wail of sirens could be heard as US helicopters flew overhead.

Resistance shoots down US helicopter in ar-Ramadi area Tuesday evening.

In a bulletin posted at 7pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US helicopter in the al-Bu ‘Ubayd area of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance fired a surface-to-air rocket at the American aircraft, bringing it crashing to the ground where it was completely wrecked.

Resistance car bomber blasts into American checkpoint in ar-Ramadi Tuesday evening.

In a bulletin posted at 6:50pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier, an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-packed car into a checkpoint manned by US soldiers in ar-Ramadi. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast, which took place in the as-Sufiyah section of northern ar-Ramadi, totally destroyed the checkpoint. US helicopters flew in over the area and at the time of reporting could be seen evacuating the dead and wounded.

Resistance bomb destroys US patrol vehicle in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of several American Humvees near a residential complex in the at-Ta’mim section of ar-Ramadi. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one of the vehicles, wounding or killing the five American troops aboard it.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US headquarters in the middle of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah as saying that the former Education Administration Building, which the US troops have taken over and turned into their local headquarters, took direct hits from the mortar shells, which set off violent explosions inside the facility and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 11:11am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol on the main road in the al-‘Ummal neighborhood of central Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-‘Ummal as saying that the bomb that was planted on the road that leads to the former Youth Center, which the Americans have taken over and turned into their local headquarters, killed one American soldier and wounded two more of them.

Resistance attacks puppet “National Guard” patrol in al-Fallujah Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the middle of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, Monday evening. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Fallujah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked the puppet “National Guard” patrol on 40 Street, killing two of the puppet soldiers and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb leaves four US troops reported dead in al-Fallujah Monday night.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of eastern al-Fallujah. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Dubbat as saying that the bomb went off by a US patrol on a side street at 11pm local time Monday night, totally destroying a Humvee and killing four US troops who were aboard.

US soldier reported killed in Tuesday afternoon bomb attack in Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah district.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad at about 3pm local time Tuesday afternoon. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that was planted by the side of the road leading to the al-Ghazaliyah Bridge blew up by a US Humvee, disabling the vehicle, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them. After the attack, US troops surrounded the whole area and launched raids and searches but arrested no one in the area witnesses said.

Car bomb blasts US column in Baghdad’s al-Mansur district.

In a dispatch posted at 12:52pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column in the al-Mansur neighborhood of western Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mansur as saying that the explosives-laden car, which had been parked near the Fils Restaruant blew up as a US patrol drove past.

The explosion completely destroyed a Humvee and set three civilian cars that were nearby ablaze. No information on casualties was available to the correspondent, however because US troops moved quickly to close off the area.

Car bomb in Baghdad kills eight Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militiamen Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a group of Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in the al-Hurriyah district of northwestern Baghdad Monday evening.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hurriyah as saying that the car bomb, which had been parked near an electric power station in al-Hurriyah, blew up by a group of Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen, setting fire to a number of militia cars and killing eight of the Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen. Seven more Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen were wounded in the attack.

Iraqi patriotic woman journalist arrested by puppet “Interior Ministry” forces Monday, fate unknown.

A statement issued by veteran Iraqi political activist Salah al-Mukhtar on Monday announced that agents of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” of the US-installed Iraq “government” had arrested the well-known journalist Gulshan al-Bayati and taken her off to an unknown destination.

Al-Mukhtar appealed to all free people in the world, including journalists writers, supporters of free speech, and human rights immediately to apply pressure to secure the release of the journalist Gulshan al-Bayati, and to guarantee that she not be murdered as the puppet “Interior Ministry” murdered the martyr journalist Atwar Bahjat. Your pens are called upon today to work immediately and concertedly in defense of freedom of speech and in the first place of Gulshan.

Al-Mukhtar noted: “As is known, Gulshan al-Bayati is a journalist who has worked for several newspapers, including al-Hayat in Lond. She has done nothing except demand that the occupation leave Iraq and that sovereignty, freedom, and dignity be returned to the people of Iraq.”

Resistance landmine blasts US Humvee in Bayji reportedly causing casualties.

In a dispatch posted at 7:49pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-yield Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded under a US Humvee on the main road near the al-‘Anud fuel station on the way to the refineries in the town of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad at 2pm local time Tuesday afternoon. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Bayji as saying that the land mine completely burned up the vehicle and all those aboard it. Witnesses said they could hear the cries of one US soldier who was burned alive inside the vehicle.

Resistance bombards Shi‘i sectarian militia headquarters in al-Mahmudiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:47am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of Shi‘i sectarian militias in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mahmudiyah as saying that the barrage sent plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Foreign mercenary working for US occupation forces in an-Najaf killed in Resistance bomb attack.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Makkah time Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of mercenaries working for the US occupation forces on the main road north of the city of an-Najaf in southern Iraq. The an-Najaf correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb that had been planted on the road to Baghdad went off by a column of four-wheel-drive cars carrying mercenaries who work for the American occupation, according to witnesses. The blast destroyed one of the vehicles, killing one mercenary and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb targets puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in at-Tuz.

In a dispatch posted at 11:59am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” column on the main road in the at-Tuz area of Kirkuk. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in at-Tuz as saying that the bomb destroyed a puppet “National Guard” Humvee, killing one of the puppet “Guards” and wounding three more of them.
