Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Qa’im.

Resistance bomb in al-Qa’im blasts US Humvee, leaving three Americans reported dead Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 5:56pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American patrol of four Humvees east of the city of al-Qa’im near close to the Syrian border, some 390km northwest of Baghdad on Friday morning.

The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents as saying that the bomb went off by the patrol in the al-Bu Mahall area in the east of the city, destroying a vehicle and killing three US troops and wounding a fourth. Local residents who went up on their roofs were able to watch as the Americans transferred the bodies of their dead to one of their other vehicles in order to haul them away. After the attack, the US occupation troops launched a campaign of raids and searches in the area, inspecting shops but finding nothing.

Al-Fallujah.

Dawn attacks on US troops in al-Fallujah leave one reported dead, several more injured.

In a dispatch posted at 11am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out three separate attacks on US occupation troops in the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad at dawn on Friday morning. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the first attack, Resistance men attacked US vehicle in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of the city, disabling it and wounding two US troops, according to witnesses.

In a second attack, the Iraqi Resistance fired three rockets into the al-Fallujah Education Administration building, a facility that the Americans have occupied and turned into a local headquarters of theirs in the city. Then at 6:30am local time a Resistance fighter threw a hand grenade at a US vehicle in an American patrol that was on regular rounds in the middle of the an-Nazizah Market. The grenade explosion set the vehicle on fire, killing one American soldier and wounding three more of them, one of those severely.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier in al-Fallujah Thursday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman had shot and killed a US soldier in al-Fallujah at 9pm local time Thursday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local puppet police as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter killed a US soldier near the new al-Fallujah bridge as he stood with a number of other soldiers. The American soldier took a direct hit in the head and died, the source said. Afterwards, the American troops opened fire indiscriminately on houses and buildings in the area and then stormed and raided the high-rise residential buildings but found no sign of the Resistance sharpshooter.

‘Anah.

Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in ‘Anah Thursday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Humvee at the eastern entrance to the city of ‘Anah, 290km northwest of Baghdad, not far from the Syrian border, on Thursday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast totally destroyed the Humvee, killing all four American soldiers aboard. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Hadithah reported Iraqis coming from ‘Anah as saying that they saw an American helicopter land and pull the dead Americans from the Humvee. On witness said that parts of the wrecked vehicle were still present on the ground in the area until Friday morning.

Baghdad.

Car bomb targets Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in south Baghdad Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 6:22pm Makkah time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi stronghold in south Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosives-laden car went off by a Jaysh al-Mahdi strongpoint in local market where the gunmen gather in the predominantly Shi‘i al-Bu Dushayr section of Baghdad, Dozens were killed or wounded in the powerful blast.

Pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gangs burn down two Sunni homes after residents obstructed their sectarian “cleansing” campaign.

In a dispatch posted at 3:56pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian gunmen, supporters of the American-installed puppet regime, burned down the houses of two Sunni families as they slept in the Baghdad district of al-Hurriyah Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen attacked two houses owned by Sunnis who had refused to leave their homes despite a month of sectarian intimidation by the militiamen, intent on clearing Sunnis out of their area and fulfill the US-Zionist plan to split the country on religious lines.

The correspondent reported that two Shi ‘ sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen scaled the walls around the two houses, poured oil and benzene on the buildings and then set them ablaze. The Shi‘i sectarian arsonists then quickly ran away.

The correspondent quoted residents of al-Hurriyah gathered around a tea store as saying that by a miracle the members of the two families were able to escape the blazes and were safe. But the fire entirely consumed both their homes and they were only able to escape with the pajamas they were wearing. The families were forced to leave their neighborhood in a taxi as their own cars had also been consumed by the fire set by the pro-American incendiaries.

Bodies of 12 more Sunnis tortured and murdered by US-backed puppet regime “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” found in Baghdad garbage dump, as efforts to split Iraq up according to US-Zionist plans continue.

In a dispatch posted at 2:47pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police on Friday morning discovered the tortured bodies of 12 more Sunnis who had been abducted by Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” at the Biskulatah Factory checkpoint in western Baghdad on Tuesday, 19 September. The killings, this time apparently by the Shi‘i sectarian puppet government forces rather than by pro-American sectarian militias, was a continuation of the campaign to break up Iraq along religious and ethnic lines.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in al-Yarmuk Hospital as saying that the 12 victims had been tortured to death. All the bodies had been identified by their relatives, and the are:

Ahmad ‘Abd al-Ghafur al-Kubaysi, Muhammad ‘Abd al-Ghafur al-Kubaysi, Walid Taha ad-Dulaymi, ‘Umar Salah Shakir, Khaldun Ahmad al-Jabburi, ‘Abdallah ‘Abd al-Wahhab al-Jannabi, Wasim Muhammad ar-Rawi, ‘Ali Fadil al-Qaysi, Amin Harun ad-Dayini, Marwan Jasim al-Jamili, Nur ad-Din ‘Umar al-Hayyali, and ‘Ikrimah Nasir Rashid.

The source said that the puppet “Shock Troops” arrested the men at the checkpoint in western Bagdad near the Biskulatah Factory on Tuesday. All the bodies were discovered Friday morning in a Baghdad garbage dump.

Efforts to split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines ミ which often are masked under language about forming an Iraqi “federation” ミ are consistent with plans hatched by US and Zionist politicians and reflected recently by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations) in “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003, in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006. Banking on splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”

But before the recent period, the idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veternan Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)

Salah ad-Din Province.

Tikrit.

Massive demonstration fills the streets of Tikrit Friday afternoon demanding freedom for prisoners of US occupation, puppet regime, and the return of President Saddam Husayn.

In a bulletin posted at 2:09pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that hundreds of local residents came out in a peaceful rally following Friday congregational prayers to demand that Iraqi prisoners being held by the US occupation and its puppet “government” be set free.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the rally set off from the Grand Mosque of Tikrit and marched to the provincial government building as demonstrators fired shots into the aire and chanted slogans calling for the release of the male and female prisoners and opposed to the American occupation. Other protestors denounced the Roman Catholic Pope for his recent diatribe against Islam.

In a dispatch posted at 3:45pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the rally that had begun after Friday prayers to demand freedom for Iraqi prisoners, had grown into a massive demonstration that surged throughout all the neighborhoods of Tikrit.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that local residents carried pictures of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and demanded his release and return. The protestors denounced the American-installed puppet “government,” accusing its members of being the “shoes” of America and Iran.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, himself present in the middle of Tikrit, reported that American occupation troops opened fire to try to break up the massive rally but failed to disperse the protestors. At the time of reporting the demonstration was still going on. Photographs from the demonstration could be viewed on line at: http://www.islammemo.cc/news/one_news.asp?IDnews=126475

Resistance mortars blast US headquarters in Tikrit Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Makkah time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into the building that housed the Iraqi Intelligence Service prior to the American invasion of the country, a facility now occupied and used by the Americans as a headquarters in Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad. The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four mortar rounds blasted into the US-occupied headquarters at 9am local time Friday morning.

Babil Province.

Al-Hillah.

Colonel in charge of Babil Province bomb disposal killed while trying to disarm a bomb in al-Hillah Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:49pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the chief of the bomb disposal unit of Babil Province, Colonel Ahmad Husayn, along with three members of his unit were killed while trying to disarm a bomb that had been planted by a roadside in the city. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad as saying that three died on Friday while trying to disarm a bomb.

The puppet police source, imbued with US-inspired sectarianism, told Mafkarat al-Islam that “Sunni gunmen” ミ meaning Iraqi Resistance fighters ミ had planted a bomb so that it could be seen by the naked eye next to the road. An unknown tipster telephoned the puppet authorities to tell them of the presence of the bomb.

When Colonel Husayn and three of his companions arrived, they disarmed the bomb and then tried to remove it from the hole in which it was buried. The bomb had been attached to another, concealed bomb, however, and that device exploded when Colonel Husayn tried to remove the bomb above it. The colonel and his three bomb-disposal companions were killed in the blast. Ambulances rushed to the seen but, as the colonel had been blown apart by the explosion, the emergency workers could only scour the area and collect body parts, which they put in a plastic bag, witnesses said.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the al-Hillah district of al-Jabawiyin where the attack took place had been completely cordoned off since Friday morning.

An-Najaf Province.

Al-Kufah.

Muqtada as-Sadr calls on followers to preserve every drop of precious American blood, while his Jaysh al-Mahdi militia continues its campaign of abduction, torture, and murder of Sunni Iraqis aimed at partitioning the country along sectarian, ethnic lines.

In a dispatch posted at 2am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian leader Muqtada as-Sadr delivered a Friday sermon in his mosque in al-Kufah in southern Iraq in which he claimed that the purpose of the American invasion of Iraq was to do battle with the Shi‘i eschatological figure the “Mahdi” or “Hidden Twelfth Imam” whose second coming is a part of Shi‘i theology.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported Agence France Presse (AFP) as saying that Muqtada as-Sadr asked worshippers in his mosque whether they had not asked themselves whether the Americans had not come to Iraq bringing all their destruction other than in anticipation of the “expected Mahdi.”

Muqtada as-Sadr told his parishioners that the United States had been preparing a rapid intervention for a whole decade and ignited the Gulf War in order to fill the region with their warships in order to be prepared for the second coming of the Hidden Imam or Mahdi. As-Sadr alleged that the Pentagon “has a whole massive file” on the “Hidden Imam” and “all it lacks,” he said, “was his picture”

But although Muqtada as-Sadr claimed that the American invasion of Iraq had been an effort to prevent the rise of a Shi‘i mythological figure, he nevertheless insisted that all resistance to the Americans be bloodless and peaceful.

Muqtada as-Sadr, whose forces actually fought armed battles with the US military in past years, called for a “peaceful people’s war” against the Americans, saying that not even one drop of American blood should be shed. In the last “elections” arranged by the US occupation authorities, Muqtada as-Sadr’s forces took part and acquired ministerial posts in the puppet “Government” propped up by the American occupation. As a result, Muqtada as-Sadr has switched from calls for armed resistance to calls for cooperation with the Americans.

As-Sadr told his followers Friday: “this time I want there to be a peaceful war against them i.e., the Americans. I don’t want even one drop of their blood to be shed for it is precious to us . . Fight them with a peaceful people’s political war, and peaceful resistance will be our pride,” he told worshippers.

While Muqtada as-Sadr was expressing his concern lest even a drop of precious American blood be shed, his sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia has plunged full force into a campaign, that has now raged for many months, of abducting, torturing and murdering hundreds of Sunni Iraqis in an effort to “cleanse” southern Iraq of the Sunni population so that the country might be partitioned into three states along religious and ethnic lines, in keeping with Zionist and American plans.

Al-Basrah Province.

Al-Basrah.

Resistance attacks target British headquarters in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired Katyusha rockets into the British occupation headquarters in the two al-Basrah districts of ash-Shu‘aybah and al-Ma‘qal. Resistance fighters also shot and killed a translator working for the British occupation troops.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported journalists as saying that five Katyusha rockets blasted into the British command headquarters in ash-Shu‘aybah, a facility that also contains a British-run prison for captured Iraqis and the main British hospital in the city. The Resistance also fired four Katyusha rockets into the Shatt al-‘Arab Hotel in the al-Ma‘qal district of the city. The correspondent reported that Resistance attacks on British headquarters in al-Basrah and al-‘Amarah have been escalating in recent days.

In another incident, Iraqi Resistance fighters killed a translator working for the British occupation forces in the Sawadi Market area in az-Zubayr after raiding his home. Meanwhile, Iraqi puppet police disarmed a bomb that they found near the as-Sumud crossroads in al-Basrah.
