Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighters attack puppet “Iraqi National Guard” camp early Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a military camp belonging to Iraqi puppet army troops in al-Fallujah at about 7am Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the western al-Fallujah neighborhood of al-Jawlan as saying that the Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons attacked the puppet army camp from two directions. From one direction the Resistance attacked the camp guards using light arms; from the other side the Resistance blasted the camp with rockets and hand grenades.

The correspondent reported that the attack destroyed the entire area. Local residents said that the camp was burned up and that four puppet “Iraqi National Guards” were killed and that some of the Resistance men were also killed. The correspondent noted that the puppet forces had commandeered houses of residents in the northern part of al-Jawlan and turned them into their camp.

On Saturday evening, fighting raged between the Iraqi Resistance and US Marines in the southern part of the city, around the New Street and in the Nahr Falih area and American soldiers were sill going through that part of the city extremely cautiously.

Resistance bombards checkpoint in western al-Fallujah during Saturday-Sunday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the a checkpoint set up at the western entrance to al-Fallujah on Saturday-Sunday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that after that Resistance attack, US forces launched campaigns of mass searches in the area of al-Halabisah and parts of al-Bu ‘Isa, which lies opposite it in western al-Fallujah, cutting the main road in the area during the night.

Rawah.

Two US soldiers reported killed in Resistance bomb attack west of Rawah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road linking Rawah, about 315km northwest of Baghdad, with the city of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by the column, destroying one Humvee and disabling a second. The witnesses reported that the Iraqis who were driving their cars on the same road behind the American column said that two US soldiers were killed and at least three more wounded in the attack.

‘Anah.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet bases in ‘Anah area.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of 82mm mortar rounds into a base jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad at dawn on Sunday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ‘Anah as saying that the base was hit by the mortar barrage early in the morning, producing explosions ithin the facility and sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Earlier the Resistance had bombarded another base jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in the ar-Rayhan area, 25km east of ‘Anah. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ‘Anah reported eyewitnesses of that bombardment as saying that three 82mm mortar rounds blasted into the base in Baytarah Circle in ar-Rayhanah.

Puppet policemen resign en masse, hand weapons over to Resistance.

In a dispatch posted at 10:47am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that several members of the puppet police in the Kubaysah area near Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad announced that they were quitting the puppet force and handed their weapons over to the Iraqi Resistance.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that declarations by about 35 resigning puppet policemen were posted on the walls of mosques. The former puppet policemen said in their statements that they were no longer going to work for the US occupation in response to what they called the “repentance amnesty” that the Resistance declared recently.

Dozens of puppet policemen resigned en masse after receiving threats at their homes in recent days. In all more than 130 puppet policemen have resigned, issuing “repentance papers” that were posted on mosques in the city. Puppet police in the cities of al-Fallujah and Samarra’ have already resigned in large numbers in response to the Iraqi Resistance.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance ambushes US patrol in al-Hadithah on Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the Industrial Zone of the al-Haqlaniyah area of southern al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad on Saturday. The blast set a Humvee ablaze, destroying it and inflicting casualties.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a violent gun battle then erupted between Resistance men and US troops, continuing for about half an hour. Then American forces under air cover from helicopter gun ships closed off the area and began searching homes in the area nearby, looking for Resistance men. They found no sign of them.

Abu Ghurayb.

US helicopter reported lost in Abu Ghurayb Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 6:55pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad reported that a US helicopter had gone down in their area. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that as of Sunday afternoon, American forces imposed a curfew and began sealing off the areas of al-Hamdaniyah and as-Samilat, which are close to each other. At the time of reporting American helicopters were combing the skies at low altitude using flares to light up the area apparently searching for the downed aircraft.

Baghdad.

Resistance fighters assault puppet police patrol in eastern Baghdad at noon Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:37pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in eastern Baghdad at noon on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance men equipped with light arms attacked a puppet polic patrol that was halted near the an-Nida’ Mosque in the al-Qahirah neighborhood of eastern Baghdad. Two puppet policemen were killed in the Resistance raid, the source said. Eyewitnesses said that Iraqi puppet regime security forces raced to the scene of the attack immediately and sealed it off.

Diyala Province.

Al-Mada’in.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in al-Mada’in on Saturday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on a main road blew up in the path of a minesweeper belonging to US forces near al-Mada’in, severely damaging the minesweeper and killing or wounding all the troops who were aboard it. US forces quickly cordoned off the area, making a detailed account of the nature and extent of casualties impossible.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in Kirkuk Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:47pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol near a tire center on the road to Baghdad in Kirkuk Sunday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the blast wounded one member of the patrol, which came from the Azadi puppet police station. Two other people were also injured in the explosion.

Resistance blasts US airbase in Kirkuk with Katyusha rockets Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 2:47pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Katyusha rockets at a US base in Kirkuk in northern Iraq late Saturday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the US Airbase located west of Kirkuk took direct hits from two of the Katyusha rockets. Witnesses said they heard the sound of explosions going off inside the camp and saw smoke rising over the base after the attack.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance bomb blasts US Humvee in al-Mawsil Saturday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 10:49am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in eastern al-Mawsil in northern Iraq on Saturday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road went of by a US column in the southeast al-Mawsil neighborhood of al-Intisar.

One US Humvee was damaged but American forces threw a security cordon down around the area of the blast immediately following the attack, making information on the nature or extent of US casualties impossible to obtain.
