・10月14日の午後3時頃，カンダハル州Pashmol領域でRPGと携帯兵器で武装したタリバンの
攻撃によってNATO軍兵士8名が死傷する。
タリバンはBakrak Tana領域にある傀儡警察の基地を攻撃。
警察官15名が死亡し，5名が捕虜となる。
タリバンは基地から多数の武器を押収している。
カンダハルとヘルマンド間のハイウェイで誘拐された
イタリア人ジャーナリストの事件について，
タリバンは事件への関与を否定する。
タリバン側はこの誘拐が強盗の仕業であると主張している。

8 NATO, 15 Puppet Troops Terminated in Afghanistan

Eight NATO soldiers were killed and injured during a Taliban attack with rocket propelled grenades and small arms in Pashmol area in Kandahar province at around 3pm on Saturday (Oct. 14), the AIP reported.
Naliban attacked a base of police in Bakrak Tana area and killed 15 policemen. Five other were captured by Taliban fighters. Taliban also seized and pick up some weapons from the base.Taliban spokesman Dr. Muhammad Hanif while talking to Afghan Islamic Press. rejected puppet blames that Taliban carried out their attack from Pakistan's soil and the attackers fled from Ali Sher district to Pakistan's territories. When the puppet government of Afghanistan failed to stopped our attacks they levelled such allegations. The fighters are the sons of this (Afghan) soil and carried out their activities from within Afghanistan, he added.
Taliban spokesman Qari Muhammad Yousaf rejected American lies the Italian journalist Gabriele Torsello had been abducted by Taliban a few days back on the Helmand- Kandahar highway..
