Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Hadithah.

Situation worsens in Upper Euphrates cities and towns where four days of lock down by US forces mean thousands are running low on water and food.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that for the fourth straight day US occupation troops kept the city of al-Hadithah, 236km northwest of Baghdad, and the nearby towns of al-Haqlaniyah, Barwanah, and the city of Hit, about 165km northwest of Baghdad under lock down on Friday as the suffering of the besieged population increased.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents had begun to run out of food and stored water after four days of blockade and curfew. In addition so far more than 300 local residents have been arrested in the past four days. About half of those were released after undergoing interrogation. The Americans hauld the remaining local prisoners away to a US base in ar-Ramadi.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance rockets blast four US bases in ar-Ramadi prompting US to seal off city at dawn Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:49pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops sealed off all approaches to the city of ar-Ramadi at dawn on Friday preventing anyone from entering or leaving the city, located about 110km west of Baghdad. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American action followed an Iraqi Resistance rocket assault on US troops in four of their camps in the area ミ the al-Warrar base west of town, the base the Americans set up in the Agricultural College, the Provincial government building,

and the Immigration building ミ all facilities that US forces have taken over and turned into their camps and strongholds. The Resistance fired dozens of mortar rounds into the US-occupied camps. One Resistance organization also issued a statement promising retribution for the massive American bombardment of civilian homes on Tuesday, 14 November that left 37 local civilians dead. After the Resistance rocket attacks, American helicopter gun ships and warplanes swarmed into the area as tension rose in the city.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb in al-Fallujah leaves three US soldiers reported dead Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:52pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of four armored Humvees in al-Fallujah on Friday morning. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Lieutenant ‘Ammar Jad‘an of the local puppet police as saying that the blast in the al-Jubayl neighborhood of the city totally destroyed a US Humvee, killing three American troops and severely wounding a fourth. US troops surrounded the whole neighborhood at 8am and were still encircling it at the time of reporting.

Baghdad.

Hundreds of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen pour into Baghdad neighborhood in apparent preparation for assault.

In an appeal dated 1am Baghdad time Saturday, 25 November 2006, the Iraqi Resistance publication Sawt al-Haqq issued an appeal calling for urgent intervention to save the residents of the Baghdad neighborhood of al-Jihad. The Sawt al-Haqq statement said that the US-run puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” were sending bus loads of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen into the al-Jihad neighborhood.

Some 500 of the gunmen were massing and mobilizing in the Jaysh al-Mahdi headquarters in al-Jihad for an attack on the neighborhood. The militiamen were armed with light and medium weapons and were apparently assembling in battle order in preparation for a massacre in the neighborhood. Terrorized residents of al-Jihad had contacted the puppet police and puppet authorities in the US-controlled regime but the busloads of pro-Iranian sectarian gunmen continued to pull into the neighborhood, where residents are confined to their homes under the US imposed curfew.

In a dispatch posted at 8:09pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen were preparing to attack the population in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that dozens of Shi‘i sectarian gunmen were readying for an assault, bringing in with them modern weapons and driving vehicles belonging to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry.” The puppet “Government”-backed sectarians were taking up positions by the al-Jihad neighborhood bridge on the road that runs to Saddam International Airport.

In a dispatch posted at 9:34pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces threw back an assault by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen on the tomb of ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani whose aim was to dig up the tomb where the body of a highly venerated Sufi Shaykh is buried. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that more than 16 pro-Iranian sectarians were killed and others wounded when Resistance fighters and local men threw back the assault on the Bab ash-Shaykh area of the occupied Iraqi capital.

The correspondent reported that after the Shi‘i sectarian assault, US troops showed up on the scene and saw with their own eyes the dead bodies of their allies the Shi‘i sectarians strewn about the streets near the square and the taxi stand and behind the al-Khallani Mosque. One witness said that the attacking Shi‘i fanatics were carrying picks and digging tools, proof that they were indeed planning to dig up the body of the revered Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani who died in 1166 C.E.

Iraqi Resistance organizations unite to combat pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian rampages in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 8:59pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the various Iraqi Resistance organizations had united their operations and plans in all regions of Baghdad in order to resist the latest surge of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian rampages against Sunni residents.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Qa‘idah Organization in the Land of the Two Rivers as saying that the various detachments of the Iraqi Resistance had begun to coordinated their activities and deploy their fighters in a coordinated manner in order to repulse new attacks by Shi‘i sectarian fanatics fighting on behalf of the Iranian hegemonist regime.

Shaykh Abu Ghazi told the correspondent that “coming hours will witness a decisive response to the Jaysh al-Mahdi and Badr Brigades and all the sectarians who have taken part in attacks on Sunnis.” For his party Shaykh Abu Mustafa al-Ghariri, a commander of the Jaysh Ansar as-Sunnah Resistance organization, in an exclusive interview with Mafkarat al-Islam also warned would be attackers that those who set worshippers on fire would soon be meeting retribution.

Iraqi Resistance fighters and local residents of Sunni districts of the Iraqi capital were in a state of readiness and mobilization as evening turned into night on Friday.

Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians reportedly murder 40 Sunnis with electric saws.

In a dispatch posted at 10:24pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Shi‘i sectarians had gathered together 40 Sunni captives in the Madinat Saddam section of Baghdad ミ an area nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” after the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 ミ and murdered them in a savage manner at a public meeting.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying via telephone links that Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen killed more than 40 Sunni youths and other men, including elderly men, all residents of the al-Hurriyah district of Baghdad whom they had kidnapped on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses reported that the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians lined up the Sunni youths in the public square in front of a crowd of people and proceeded to cut off their hands and legs at the knees with electric saws. They then left their victims to bleed to death. Witnesses said that the pro-Iranian sectarians then set fire to the bodies. Some of the victims had not yet died when they were set ablaze and burned to death.

Resistance mounts late night rocket, mortar barrage on “Madinat as-Sadr” in retaliation for two days of Shi‘i sectarian rampages.

The barrage was in retaliation for a two days of Shi‘i sectarian rampages by militias and US-backed puppet regime forces on Sunni residents.

In a dispatch posted at 11:02pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier the Islamic Army Resistance organization had inflicted a heavy defeat on Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in the western Baghdad district of al-Ghazaliyah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from near the scene of the fighting that Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gangs had poured in from ash-Shu‘lah in dozens of cars armed with various types of weapons to attack the predominantly Sunni area of al-Ghazaliyah.

But in a major battle the Islamic Army reportedly killed 30 Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen and set 17 of their vehicles ablaze. At the time of reporting, the wrecked vehicles were still burning in the middle of the streets where the battle raged. Surviving Jaysh al-Mahdi gang members dropped their weapons and fled from the Resistance men who then extended their control over the entire district. US occupation troops had disappeared completely from the area, allowing their allies the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians to mount their attack on al-Ghazaliyah unimpeded.

Resistance fighters kill nine puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” at checkpoints where Shi‘i sectarians were gathering to attack Sunni residents of ad-Durah.

In a dispatch posted at 8:58pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked two check points manned by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” that were preparing to carry out Shi‘i sectarian attacks on the homes of Sunni residents in the al-Mahdiyah al-Ula neighborhood of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

The Resistance completely destroyed the two checkpoints and seized four machine guns and a number of hand grenades as well as one Beretta pistol. Meanwhile, as Shi‘i sectarian gangs continued to gather at a factory in ad-Durah in preparation for launching assaults on Sunnis, local mosques were calling on all men and women as well to volunteer to intercept this latest Shi‘i sectarian offensive.

US-backed puppet regime army and police begin sectarian anti-Sunni campaign attacking and seizing control of Sunni mosques in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 7:02pm Makkah time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US-installed Iraqi puppet regime, which is largely composed of Shi‘i sectarians, has begun what can only be called an “official sectarian war” against Sunni Iraqis in the country’s US-occupied capital. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet army and puppet police forces launched an extensive campaign in which several Sunni mosques were attacked, the mosque guards were murdered by the puppet regime troops, and the mosques seized or burned and destroyed.

The mosques of ad-Dabbash, al-‘Abbas, Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, and al-Barakah were taken over. All the guards inside were killed and the buildings were turned into Shi‘i Husayniyat places of worship with the help of the puppet army and puppet police forces. Four other Sunni mosques in Baghdad were burned and two more were destroyed in the areas of ad-Dawli‘i, al-Hurriyah al-Ula, an-Nuwwab Dubbat, Filastin, and as-Su‘udiyah in the al-Hurriyah district and in the area of ad-Dabbash.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the man in charge of the puppet regime’s sectarian campaign in the al-Hurriyah district is a major by the name of Ihab. The puppet “Government’s” anti-Sunni campaign on Palestine Street was commanded by a Captain ‘Ali Jabir. Earlier, in a bulletin posted at 6:53pm Makkah time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment four Sunni mosques with their worshippers inside had been set ablaze by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen.

Among those killed in the Thursday night sectarian assault were women and children.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the source as saying that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militia based in the ash-Shu‘lah district of Baghdad fired five mortar shells at the Sunni religious organization’s headquarters. The source said, however, that the barrage had inflicted no deaths or injuries.

The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia is run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran, a state seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq. In addition to backing Iran, members of as-Sadr’s movement are members of the current US-imposed puppet regime in Baghdad.

Ten mortar rounds had blasted into the area of the mosque and the association was calling on local residents to arm themselves and come to the defense of the mosque and the association.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the mortar shells that blasted into the area around the Umm al-Qura Mosque on Friday were 81mm shells of Iranian manufacture, made in 2006. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Association of Muslim Scholars was retaining samples of the shells that prove their origin.

The streets of the occupied Iraqi capital, now under curfew, were empty Friday except for the US military and the puppet troops.

American troops responded to the deadly attack by opening fire in revenge at a group of students from the Hudhayfah Ibn al-Yaman School for memorizing the Qur’an in the al-Mithaq, located near the scene of the blast. The American troops’ gunfire killed six of the students, the eldest of them being only 12 years old.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet security forces as saying that the bombardment killed five puppet policemen, including an officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Another 11 of the puppet policemen were wounded. The source noted that the Resistance barrage was the second such attack in the previous 24-hour period. An-Najaf Province.

An-Najaf.

Pro-Iranian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr issues ultimatum to Sunni leaders, demanding that they declare Iraqi Resistance, Saddam Husayn, Baath Party all “infidels.”

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr had delivered a sermon in the city of an-Najaf in southwestern Iraq in which he issued three demands that Harith ad-Darri, the chief of the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq ミ the highest Sunni Muslim religious authority in occupied Iraq. Ad-Darri must carry out these three demands, as-Sadr said, if he wants to end sectarian fighting in the country.

The an-Najaf correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported as-Sadr as telling the press that ad-Darri must declare the armed Iraqi Resistance movement and all those who attack Shi‘ah to be “infidels.” As-Sadr also demanded that ad-Darri declare Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and Baathists to be “infidels.” Finally as-Sadr demanded that the Sunni religious leader declare himself “innocent” of any attacks on Shi‘ah and call for the killing of all those who carry out such attacks, whom the Shi‘i sectarian cleric described as “Takfiriyin” (fundamentalists) and “Wahhabis.”

Muqtada as-Sadr made clear that his statement was in the nature of an ultimatum when he declared that if ad-Darri agreed to the three demands of as-Sadr then “the situation in Iraq could incline towards calm and we in the Sadr movement will denounce the arrest order issued against ad-Darri” by the US-imposed puppet regime “and demand that it be anulled.”

Mafkarat al-Islam noted that for a long time Muqtada as-Sadr pretended to be interested in the unity of the Iraqi people and in avoiding sectarian bloodshed. But today with this statement he clearly revealed his true and entirely sectarian identity, observers note, one in service to the regional hegemonist regime of Iran that is striving to step into the shoes of US imperialism in Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Shi‘i sectarian gangs had attacked the mosque in the al-Ma‘qal area of northern al-Basrah. The sectarians drove several vehicles towards the mosque in an attempt to storm in but the guards opened fire on the attackers and succeeded in throwing back the assault.

Two of the sectarians’ vehicles were destroyed in the attack, which was the fourth assault on Sunni mosques and facilities in al-Basrah in the previous 24 hours. The correspondent reported that it was apparent that the sectarian attacks on Sunnis in the city were part of an organized plan drawn up by the American backed puppet “Iraqi government” to bring terror down upon the Sunni population of the country.

Many asserted that the real death toll from the quadruple car bombings in Baghdad on Thursday had been exaggerated, pointing out that televised scenes of funerals of those killed in the Thursday attacks showed graves for no more than 20 persons though more than 300 were reported killed.

Iranian-made mortar shells blast into Sunni neighborhood south of al-Basrah midday Friday.

The witnesses added that 15 local people were wounded in the attack, some of them severely. Many of those injured in the barrage were women and children. The witnesses said pieces of the rockets that were left behind by the barrage proved that the shells had been made in Iran.
