In a dispatch posted at 3:53pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah district near the city of al-Fallujah ﾐ which is about 60km west of Baghdad ﾐ on Tuesday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying tha a US Marine foot patrol was prowling the streets of the residential ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah district when suddenly one of the Americans took a direct hit in the face from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him a few moments later, to the shock and confusion of his comrades.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US Marine at checkpoint in ar-Ramadi Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine in the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses from the as-Sufiyah area in the eastern part of the city as saying that a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck the head of an American soldier who was manning a checkpoint, killing him instantly. The witnesses said that the other US troops at the checkpoint began screaming in fear and anger after the death of their comrade. They closed down the checkpoint after the attack.

Two US Marines reported killed in Resistance bombing in ar-Ramadi Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:57pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road near the ar-Ramadi immigration building ﾐ a facility that he US forces have taken over and turned into their headquarters ﾐ exploded by a passing American patrol on Tuesday morning, destroying a Humvee and killing two US Marines. Two other Marines were reported wounded in the attack.

The witnesses said that the Marines opened fire indiscriminately after the explosion and then closed off and surrounded the entire area.

Baghdad.

Dozens of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen killed in day of fighting as US forces team up with pro-Iranian sectarians to attack Baghdad neighborhoods and American and puppet forces begin new “Security Plan” targeting Sunni districts.

In a dispatch posted at 9:27pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that contrary to claims made by the Iraqi puppet regime and echoed by western media, the gunmen killed in heavy fighting in Baghdad on Tuesday were for the most part not Resistance men or local Sunni defense fighters, but pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen allied with the US occupation forces.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported participants in the fighting who live in the area around Hayfa Street where the fighting took place as saying that only seven of the local Sunni neighborhood defenders were killed in the day’s fighting. Eight more of them were wounded.

Spokesmen for the puppet regime claimed that 50 Resistance fighters and Sunni neighborhood fighters had been killed, but witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that other than the seven local fighters, the remaining dozens of dead were all Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen.

They pointed out that most of those died not on Hayfa Street, but were killed near the al-Bayruti Coffee House on at-Tala’i‘ Square near the notorious Buratha Mosque, a center used by Shi‘i sectarians to torture and murder Sunni Iraqis.

Shaykh Sabah al-Karakhi told Mafkarat al-Islam that it was believed likely that there would be renewed attacks on the predominantly Sunni area around Hayfa Street. Shaykh al-Karakhi said that the puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki “is using the sectarian militias to strike the Sunnis and the Resistance, since his own military forces can’t do it.”

The American Washington Post newspaper reported that US warplanes and helicopter gun ships attacked positions of the Iraqi Resistance around Hayfa Street as US troops backed up the assault carried out by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen who are trying to purge sections of the Iraqi capital of Sunni residents in order to facilitate the partition of the country in keeping with Zionist and American plans.

For its part, the regional hegemonic regime in Iran is seeking to secure its hold in Iraq by using Shi‘i sectarian leaders and organizations. It hopes to step into the shoes of the American occupation authorities whose grip on the country has been weakened by three years of increasingly severe Resistance attacks. To forestall Iran’s attempt to replace America as colonial power in Iraq, the Iraqi Resistance continues its battle against pro-Iranian as well as US and pro-US groups and facilities.

In a dispatch posted at 12:59am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet regime in Baghdad had launched its new “Security Plan” just minutes earlier ﾐ a plan it had announced several days earlier.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that massive cement barricades were set down, closing the streets of the occupied Iraqi capital. The whine of helicopters prowling the skies at low altitude could be heard all over the city.

Detachments made up of American occupation troops and Iraqi puppet forces ﾐ puppet police, army, and “Shock Troops” ﾐ together with pro-American Kurdish separatist Peshmergah gunmen and pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen were at that hour deploying throughout the streets.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district reported that the Americans and their allies had sent a large force into that area. The same was taking place in the predominantly Sunni districts of al-A‘zamiyah, al-Ghazaliyah, al-Mansur, al-Fadl, the southern suburb of ad-Durah, and the neighborhoods of al-Jihad, al-‘Adl, al-Jami‘ah, Nafaq ash-Shurtah, as-Salikh, Bab al-Mu‘azzam, and elsewhere.

Resistance fighters attack puppet “Shock Troop” checkpoint in Baghdad late Tuesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance men had attacked a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” in the Baghdad district of al-Yarmuk.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a force of between 15 and 25 Resistance fighters assaulted the checkpoint located at petrol stations behind the Ibn Taymiyah Mosque. Witnesses reported that seven puppet “Shock Troops” were killed in the attack and four more of them wounded. One of those killed was a captain.

After the attack, US forces and Iraqi puppet police surrounded the area and began searching for the Resistance fighters who disappeared minutes after the assault taking the arms they found at the checkpoint with them.

Resistance blasts pro-Iranian sectarians with Katyusha rockets Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:13pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into a headquarters of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in northern Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Jaysh al-Mahdi headquarters set up in what was formerly the building of the Fifth Branch of the Intelligence Service in al-Kazimiyah took direct hits from two Katyusha rockets. The rockets inflicted heavy damage on the building, killing or wounding a large number of the pro-Iranian gunmen inside, judging from the fact that numerous ambulances came and went from the facility after the attack.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet “National Guard” column, killing seven.

In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted a violent attack on a column of puppet “Iraqi National Guard” troops in southern Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men armed with medium machine guns and hand grenades assaulted a puppet “Guard” column on the highway to the southern suburb of ad-Durah. The witnesses reported that the intensity of the Resistance attack forced some of the vehicles in the column to flee. Two armored vehicles were unable to escape, however and all the puppet “Guards” aboard them ﾐ at least seven men ﾐ were killed.

Resistance fighters ambush US patrol in al-Ghazaliyah Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:41pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire with RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades on a US patrol in the western Baghdad district of al-Ghazaliyah Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that the Resistance fighters opened up on the American patrol when it was on a bridge on the International Highway that runs by their area. They said that the attack set one American Humvee ablaze, killing or wounding all the US troops aboard.

Resistance disables two US Humvees Baghdad in lightning midnight attack in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 3:04pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US patrol in the middle of Baghdad around midnight Monday-Tuesday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a group of Resistance fighters on foot staged a quick but violent attack on a US patrol in the al-Washshash area of central Baghdad. The Resistance men blasted the Ameicns with rockets, hand grenades, and medium machine gun fire and then left the area.

Eyewitnesses said that the Resistance men took the US troops by surprise, giving them no chance to respond adequately. That enabled them to disable two American Humvees and kill or wound several of the US troops, they noted.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Bayji.

High-explosive Resistance bomb reportedly kills four US troops south of Bayji Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol near the city of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported truck drivers who witnessed the attack as saying that a high-explosive bomb that had been planted by road from Bayji south to Tikrit went off by a US patrol, totally destroying a Humvee and sending parts of the vehicle and body parts of the crew flying all over the area. Four American soldiers were killed in the attack, the witnesses confirmed.

Al-Ishaqi.

Resistance bomb disables US mine sweeper near al-Ishaqi Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:54pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Ishaqi area, about 85km north of Baghdad at midday Monday.

The al-Ishaqi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the road to al-Ishaqi blew up by a passing American patrol, heavily damaging and disabling a mine sweeper vehicle and all the US troops who were aboard it. After the attack US forces shut down the road, which was still closed on Tuesday morning.

Ad-Dujayl.

Resistance bomb targets US patrol in ad-Dujayl Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 3:49pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in ad-Dujayl, about 55km north of Baghdad on Monday evening.

The ad-Dujayl correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saing that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road went off by a US patrol, significantly damaging a Humvee and wounding at least two American troops.

Kirkuk.

US, Iraqi puppet forces raid Kirkuk neighborhood at dawn, arresting 10.

In a dispatch posted at 2:06pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces together with Iraqi puppet troops carried out a campaign of mass raids and arrests in western Kirkuk at dawn on Tuesday morning.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Iraqi puppet police and army troops together with American occupation forces raided the al-Kibrit neighborhood of western Kirkuk at dawn, arresting 10 civilians who the occupation claimed were “suspected” of carrying out attacks on the US and puppet regime forces.

Tall ‘Afar.

Two US troops reported killed in Monday afternoon car bombing in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 2:21pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US patrol in Ta;\ll ‘Afar, about 55km west of al-Mawsil on Monday afternoon.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road near a car park in Tall ‘Afar went off by a passing American patrol. The explosion heavily damaged one US Humvee and killed at least two American troops. Other US soldiers were injured in the attack, witnesses said. Afterwards, US forces closed off the entire area.
