Five US troops reported killed when Resistance bomb targets US troop transport vehicle in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 6:46pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column headed into the city of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad, along 17 Street.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb that was planted by the side of the road went off by an American troop transport in the column. The blast killed five Americans and severely wounded a sixth, the witnesses said. Afterwards, US troops surrounded the scene and transported the five corpses out of the area, while carrying the wounded man away on their shoulders as the troop transport vehicle continued to burn.

Resistance brings down two puppet police stations with truck bombs Monday morning, leaving 70 puppet policemen dead or wounded.

In a dispatch posted at 2:15pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance truck bombs exploded by two puppet police stations in ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad, on Monday morning, killing or wounding dozens of puppet policemen.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the first explosives-laden truck, a Hino loaded with fuel drums, charged into the puppet police station in the al-Jazirah area of northeastern ar-Ramadi during the morning roll call. The explosion brought down the entire building.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that just a few minutes later a Kia truck packed with explosives slammed into the Tawwi puppet police station opposite the house of Shaykh ‘Abd asS-Sattar Abu Rashi‘, the collaborator chief of the puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police. That blast killed or wounded another large batch of puppet policemen.

Medical sources told Mafkarat al-Islam that by preliminary results, the total number of dead and wounded could reach 70 or more, since there were still bodies being dug out from under the rubble of the demolished police station buildings.

The correspondent wrote that ar-Ramadi city has been sealed off by US forces who have closed the bridges and sent large forces into the city amidst sharply rising tension following the morning’s truck bombings.

Al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 6:08pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two 60mm mortar rounds into a puppet police station that is shared with US occupation troops in al-Fallujah.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the shells scored direct hits, killing one puppet policeman and wounding four civilians. The correspondent reported witnesses in the “7 Nisan” neighborhood as saying that the shells blasted the old fortified puppet police station that US and puppet police forces use to as an operations room for launching joint missions in the city.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in village near al-Fallujah early Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:05pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the al-Bu Qutnah village area south of al-Fallujah at about 6am local time Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast completely destroyed an American Humvee, killing or wounding all the US troops aboard − at least four men.

The witnesses said that the Americans sealed off the area and imposed a curfew in the village, sealing it off from the outside world. They then began a campaign of riads and searches of every house in the village, in the course of which they arrested “a significant number” of village youths and men.

Resistance bomb in al-Fallujah reportedly kills three US troops.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in northern al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of as-Sajar village as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the northern gate to al-Fallujah by the as-Sajar Bridge went off by a passing American patrol, destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops.

Witnesses said that the Americans hauled the wrecked vehicle away from the houses where it was blown up and onto the highway, allowing people to view its totally demolished state. Members of the patrol tried to cover the operation, however, by shooting indiscriminately around the area for 10 minutes.

Al-Hadithah.

Six US troops reported killed in Sunday afternoon bombing in al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:56pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter wearing an explosive belt blew him self up t a checkpoint at the entrance to the city of al-Hadithah, 270km northwest of Baghdad on Sunday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the attacker walked up to the checkpoint in as-Subhani, which is controlled by American and puppet Iraqi troops, and blew himself up at 5pm local time Sunday afternoon. The witnesses said that the blast killed six US occupation soldiers and four puppet Iraqi troops in addition to wounding a group of other soldiers.

Baghdad.

Resistance attack targets puppet security forces in Bagdhad Monday night.

In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters launched an armed attack followed by the detonation of a car bomb at a puppet Iraqi government checkpoint near the Ibn Taymiyah Mosque in the al-Yarmuk area of western Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack killed three puppet troops and wounded two more. A informed security source told the correspondent that when another patrol that was near by went to the aid of the first, a car bomb exploded by them, killing First Lieutenant ‘Adnan Muhammad and four other members of the patrol.

Puppet “security services,” Shi‘i sectarian militias carry out mass raids arrests in Sunni districts of Baghdad.

In a bulletin posted at 1:27pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, puppet Iraqi security forces arrested a number of local residents when they carried out a campaign of raids in predominantly Sunni areas of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the districts of al-Fahhamah, al-Fallahat, and al-Jamilah as saying that puppet “Order Protection” vehicles drove into those areas accompanied by ambulances. The witnesses said that gunmen dressed in civilian clothes got out of the vehicles and began arresting people in the street. The operation was still under way at the time of reporting.

The “Order Protection” police, like the other security services of the US-installed puppet regime, are dominated by the Shi‘i sectarian militias such as the Jaysh al-Mahdi and Badr Brigades.

In a dispatch posted at 1:17pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Shi‘i sectarian militias stormed into the area of Hayfa Street in Baghdad, carrying out random arrests of local residents of the predominantly Sunni district in central Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the sectarian gunmen went into building 210 Hayfa Street and began arresting people. Witnesses said that the operation was still underway at the time of reporting.

Bomb strikes Shi‘i area in southern Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:24pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded in the Shi‘i southern Baghdad district of az-Za‘faraniyah, killing two and wounding 28 people, including four puppet policemen. Afterwards, US troops closed off the entire area.

Bomb explodes on bus near al-Andalus Square Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a bomb that had been planted aboard a bus exploded in Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet policemen in al-Karradah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bus bomb went off near al-Andalus Square not far from al-Karradah, killing or wounding 17 people by preliminary count. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The explosion came as Baghdad was experiencing the sixth day of the “New Baghdad Security Plan” being implemented by US and puppet Iraqi forces.

Salah ad-Din Province.

At-Tarimiyah.

Triple car bomb attack on US military camp near at-Tarimiyah launches complex Resistance assault on American facility.

In a dispatch posted at 3:03pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighters drove three explosives-laden cars simultaneously into the main US base in the village of ash-Shihah, near at-Tarimiyah, just 30km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the first car bomber drove his car into the main gate of the base in order to blow open a hole in the fence so as to let his comrades in the other car bombs through so that they could blow up within the base.

The correspondent reported that he bombers succeeded in penetrating the base and detonating their payloads. After that, Resistance fighters unleashed a violent rocket barrage on the base, forcing the Americans to rush out in fear where dozens more Resistance fighters were lying in wait to ambush them. A fierce battle just outside the base ensued, in which all sorts of weapons were used. The fighting continued until American helicopter gun ships and fighter bombers arrived on the scene and began striking the area in order to free the US troops from what otherwise would apparently have been their destruction.

After the battle, the American helicopters began to evacuate large numbers of dead and wounded in the direction of Baghdad. At the time of reporting fires were still burning on the base and American troops were still lying outside the facility under the guard of American warplanes.

Residents of at-Tarimiyah told Mafkarat al-Islam that Resistance fighters knocked on their doors late Sunday night and asked them to remain at home Monday morning and not go to work, in order to protect their safety.

The correspondent reported that the situation at the time of reporting was extremely tense as loud noises of low-flying US aircraft shattered house windows and American forces surrounded at-Tarimiyah and shut off all electricity to the town.

Mafkarat al-Islam attributed the attack to the “Islamic State of Iraq” organization, the al-Qa‘idah movement on Iraqi territory.

Samarra’.

Mortar shells strike grand market in Samarra’ early Monday, in what locals see as effort to smear name of Iraqi Resistance.

In a dispatch posted at 11:24am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier three mortar rounds blasted into the grand market in the middle of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, killing or wounding civilians.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the three 82mm mortar rounds landed on the largest market in Samarra’ in the early hours of the morning damaging at least five commercial shops and wounding numerous civilians.

The corresponded reported that mortar rounds of unknown origin land from time to time on houses and markets, killing civilians and that local residents say that they are being fired by the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in an operation intended to get people to blame the Resistance for the deaths and turn the population against the Resistance.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance car bomber targets home of puppet “National Guard” commander in ad-Dulu‘iyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:11am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a few minutes earlier an Iraqi Resistance car bomber exploded his deadly payload by the home of a commander of the puppet “National Guard” in ad-Dulu‘iyah, killing five and wounding 10 puppet “Guards.”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ad-Dulu‘iyah as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car near the home of the commander, Major ‘Amir Nayif and detonated. US and puppet Iraqi troops just lifted a strangulation siege on ad-Dulu‘iyah that had gone on for 10 days on Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:56pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested six local residents of ad-Dulu‘iyah, two of them puppet policemen, following the car bomb attack.

Tikrit.

US forces arrest seven in Tikrit, charging them with funding Iraqi Resistance.

In a dispatch posted at 5:08pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested seven Iraqis who live in a residential building in Tikrit, 180km north of Baghdad at midday Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the building where the arrests took place as saying that US forces backed up by puppet Iraqi troops under air cover from US aircraft arrested the individuals, charging them with funding the Iraqi Resistance.

The correspondent reported that the Americans smashed furniture in the apartments they raided and then led the seven off to the US base in the middle of the city. The local residents expressed surprise at the arrests, saying that the men were all simple individuals who could only provide a poor living for their families.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police, killing three.

In a dispatch posted at 10:43am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a puppet police patrol in Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad, on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in Tuz, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons attacked a patrol of Tikrit puppet police between Tikrit and Tuz. The Resistance fighters killed three of the puppet policemen, including an officer, and wounded four more. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the scene.

Diyala Province.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

Puppet “National Guards” battle armed men in al-Miqdadiyah Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:44pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting between armed men and puppet Iraqi “National Guards” took place in al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad, on Monday morning.

The al-Miqdadiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a group of armed men attacked puppet “Iraqi National Guards” who were posted in front of the ar-Rafidayn Bank in the city. The attackers fired rocket launchers and light and medium machine guns, sparking a battle that lasted for more than half an hour. The puppet police source made no mention of casualties, but eyewitnesses said that the fighting left at least four puppet “Guards” dead or wounded. Swarms of US helicopters were seen flying into the area after the attack.

US helicopter kills two civilians in al-Miqdadiyah Sunday night.

In a dispatch posted at 3:27pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US helicopters attacked residential areas in the city of al-Miqdadiyah, about 85km northeast of Baghdad on Sunday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood of al-Miqdadiyah as saying that the helicopters blasted the residential quarters after a US patrol came under attack in the area. The witnesses said that unknown armed men opened fire at US troops in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood and a short while later US helicopters arrived and rocketed the gardens and houses nearby, destroying a family home and killing two members of the family, one of them a woman.

As-Sa‘diyah.

Chief of puppet governing council of as-Sa‘diyah assassinated Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:37am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men assassinated the chairman of the puppet governing council in as-Sa‘diyah, about 120km northeast of Baghdad, on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Sa‘diyah puppet police as saying that unknown armed men in an unmarked car opened fire with machine guns on Sabah Hadi, the chief of the puppet local governing council, killing him. A puppet police patrol caught up with the attackers, the source said, and managed to kill two of them but their identity had yet to be established.

Meanwhile, the correspondent reported that joint US and Iraqi puppet “National Guards” had arrested five youths in Ba‘qubah, charging them with planning attacks on US and puppet Iraqi forces.

Babil Province.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Car bomb targets reputed Jaysh al-Mahdi stronghold in al-Mahmudiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:24pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a car bomb exploded in the al-Mahmudiyah market, about 30km south of Baghdad, and blew up, killing four and wounding at least 38 Shi‘i sectarian gunmen.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb went off in a market regarded as a stronghold for the Shi ‘ sectarians. After the car, which had been parked in the middle of the market, went off, personnel of the Sadr Movement office were seen evacuating bodies from the scene of the blast.

Resistance fighters kill puppet security men.

In a dispatch posted at 1:02pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed Diya’ ad-Din Khalaf, a puppet policeman in the Sumar neighborhood of southeastern al-Masil and also As‘ad Qasim Yahya a puppet “National Guardsman” in the al-Ma‘arid neighborhood on Sunday.

Nighttime clash leaves puppet police colonel wounded.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting erupted between the Iraqi Resistance and puppet police in the northern city of al-Mawsil.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighting took place in the al-Quds neighborhood in the east of the city during the night of Sunday − Monday. One patrol vehicle was destroyed and a puppet police colonel wounded along with two other puppet policemen, the latter severely. All were taken to al-Mawsil General Hospital for treatment.

The Resistance has escalated its attacks on puppet police because of their activity in carrying out continuous night patrols and raids, arresting local people, the correspondent reported.
