‘Anah.

To completely seal off ‘Anah from outside world, US forces prohibit all Internet access, threaten immediate arrest for anyone going on line.

In a dispatch posted at 3:06pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces in the city of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad shut down all the Internet cafes and outlets in the city and banned local residents from getting on line, threatening punishment if they find any facility providing Internet access in the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops raided Internet cafes in ‘Anah demanding their owners to shut them down immediately and cut all connection with the Internet from homes, including wireless Internet connections. The Americans said that if their orders were not carried out, they would confiscate all the computers and Internet access equipment in ‘Anah. They further gave notice that anyone using the Internet was subject to arrest. The Americans said that if anyone resumed use of the Internet without the knowledge and permission of the US military, their offices and computers would be seized immediately.

With the end of all Internet access the city of ‘Anah has now been virtually completely cut off from the outside world, the correspondent wrote. The US forces already had shut down all ground telephone lines to and from the city and there is no cellular telephone service to ‘Anah. The Americans have also banned the use of satellite telephones but some residents of the city still secretly keep satellite telephones that they use for communications that are absolutely needed.

Al-Habbaniyah.

US artillery kills four Iraqi farmers after Resistance pounds US al-Habbaniyah base with heavy mortars Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:34pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired 10 heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US-occupied al-Habbaniyah Airbase, about 70km west of Baghdad on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the residential area of the C.C. District near the US base as saying that the Resistance targeted the US-occupied facility twice lobbing 10 heavy mortar shells into the facility. The first five shells slammed into the American-occupied base at 7am local time. Then a little over 15 minutes later five more mortar shells blasted into the American base, this time launched from another location, in order to avoid US return fire.

Sirens could be heard wailing inside the al-Habbaniyah facility as powerful explosions shook the base and were heard for miles around. US helicopters flew in to tend to the casualties.

The American forces fired heavy artillery at the al-Jazirah area east of ar-Ramadi in response to the Resistance barrage, but the US shells struck civilian targets, killing four Iraqi farmers, damaging groves, and killing livestock.

Ar-Rutbah.

Two US troops reported killed in bomb attack in ar-Rutbah near Jordan border Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:44pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the town of ar-Rutbah near the Jordanian border, 350km west of Baghdad on Monday morning.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Mithaq neighborhood of central ar-Rutbah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the road blew up by a US patrol, disabling an American vehicle and killing two US troops and wounding two more of them. US troops then locked down the town closing off all entrances and exits, the correspondent reported.

Resistance blasts puppet army camp with heavy mortars at dawn Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:24pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a camp of the puppet Iraqi army in the city of Hit, about 165km northwest of Baghdad at dawn Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local sources in the al-Muhammadi area near Hit as saying that the shells scored direct hits on a house that the puppet army troops have taken over and turned into a military camp. The witnesses said they saw puppet army personnel evacuating three dead soldiers who had been killedi n the barrage and that at least five others had been wounded. The bombardment also collapsed half of the building.

After the attack the puppet army forces closed the main road to the area, causing traffic heading to western Iraq from Baghdad to back up and forcing drivers to veer off the highway and onto rocky desert paths in order to circumvent the area.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance fighters battle US Marines in eastern ar-Ramadi early Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Makkah time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting took place between Iraqi Resistance and US Marines in the as-Sufiyah district of eastern ar-Ramadi early Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Sufiyah as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, pipe rockets, and machine guns ambushed a US Marine patrol early Monday, sparking a battle that lasted for about an hour. The Resistance fired an S5K rocket at a US Humvee, disabling it and wounding its crew. The Resistance fighters themselves withdrew from the area after the battle having suffered no casualties, the witnesses said.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance forces blast puppet army camp with heavy mortars Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:44pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the al-Karmah fire house ミ a facility that the puppet Iraqi army has turned into one of their posts near al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad Monday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that explosions resounded within the camp and smoke billowed up over the target area after the attack.

Huge Resistance bomb in al-Karmah rips Humvee apart.

In a dispatch posted at 12:07pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a massive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the middle of al-Karmah, 7km east of al-Fallujah.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the 20 Street area as saying that a massive bomb blew up by a US patrol throwing parts of a Humvee through the air. The sources said that none of the crew survived the explosion because of its intensity. All the witnesses who say the blast were stunned by its power.

The US troops responded to the blast by opening fire indiscriminately on passers by. Four civilian cars were hit, killing two drivers and wounding five more people, two of them extremely severely.

As usual the Americans also closed the main road and blocked access to the area as they hauled away the wreckage and remains of the dead.

Resistance bomb kills two puppet Iraqi army troops in al-Fallujah Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Monday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses on as-Sadd Street in the Nazal neighborhood near the puppet Iraqi army camp in the city’s Industrial Zone as saying that the bomb destroyed one Humvee and killed two members of the crew and wounded a third. The witnesses said that the puppet Iraqi forces immediately closed off the whole area and evacuated their casualties. The witnesses said that the puppet Iraqi troops had fallen into the same trap in their area more than three times.

Baghdad.

“Another day, another Humvee” becomes motto of Baghdad district as strikes on US forces continue at high pitch.

In a dispatch posted at 7:33pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah now have a saying “another day, another Humvee.” In keeping with that, a massive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol near the old al-Amanah car park.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported workers at the nearby heat insulation works who witnessed the attack as saying that a US Humvee was totally destroyed in the blast, which also killed all the troops aboard.

In another Resistance bombing in the Iraqi capital, a violent explosion rocked the Shaykh Salsal Village area in the administrative district of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Monday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast disabled a US vehicle and killed one American soldier. Three other US troops were wounded in that attack.

The explosion also killed a farm animal but the woman who owned it told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance paid her compensation for her loss.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road between the Baghdad districts of al-Kazimiyah and at-Taji, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The blast killed one American soldier and wounded a second in addition to disabling a Humvee on which a loudspeaker was broadcasting calls to local people to turn in a man who was supposedly hiding in the area. The Americans wanted that individual in connection with the downing of a US helicopter two months ago.

An Iraqi Resistance fighter shot and killed a US soldier in the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah, Mafkarat al-Islam reported Monday. American forces had blockaded the district at dawn and some time later an Iraqi Resistance fighter opened fire on a US soldier at the intersection of ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Street in the area. Local witnesses said that the Resistance fighter fired one bullet at the American, bringing him to the ground with a wound in his shoulder. So he fired a second shot that hit the US soldier in the head and killed him.

An Iraqi Resistance fighter opened fire with an RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade on a US Abrams tank near the al-Ghazaliyah highway bridge in the al-‘Amiriyah district of western Baghdad on Monday. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the tank was moving very slowly along the highway at the time after having been hiding behind some buildings under construction in the area.

Resistance sharpshooter kills two puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:34pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the al-‘Amiriyah district of western Baghdad on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-‘Amiriyah as saying that the two puppet “Guards” were standing in front of the gate to the residential complex “Iraq Village Family” at the end of al-Mudayif Street in the area when both were struck by bullets fired by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter. The witnesses said that the sharpshooter struck both puppet “Guards” in the head, killing them instantly to the consternation and shock of the other puppet “Guards” who rushed into the complex to hide from the sharpshooter.

Resistance bombards puppet “Iraqi National Guards” at gate of former Presidential Palace in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 3:21pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces unleashed a mortar barrage at the gate to one of the former Presidential Palaces in northern Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance blasted the gate of the former al-A‘zamiyah presidential palace at noon on Monday. The witnesses said that the attack heavily damaged the buildings attached to the gate and sent plumes of smoke rising from the area where a group of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” were gathered.

Resistance car bomber blows up puppet “National Guard” checkpoint, killing 15 puppet troops in Baghdad Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:16pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the middle of Baghdad on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police who absolutely insisted that his name not be revealed as saying that a Resistance fighter drove a car bomb into the checkpoint in the ad-Dakhiliyah neighborhood near the Ibn Taymiyah (formerly Umm ad-Tubul) Mosque and blew up.

The explosion totally demolished the checkpoint and killed 15 puppet Iraqi “National Guards” who were inside. Also destroyed in the blast were two Humvees an one Nissan pickup.

Bombs in Baghdad market stronghold of pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi kill 88.

In a dispatch posted at 7:33pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two bombs exploded, one shortly after the other, in the Haraj Market in the al-Bab ash-Sharqi district of Baghdad, a stronghold of the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia on Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the market is a staging ground for sectarian armed attacks on the predominantly Sunni districts of al-Fadl, al-Kifah, and Hayfa Street and it was in the same market area in which the body of a Sunni girl who had been savagely raped was recently found.

Sources in the puppet Iraqi security services announced that the final count of casualties in two car bombings that struck a popular market in central Baghdad had reached 88 dead and about 160 wounded, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 20 shops, Shi‘i places of worship, and offices of the Muqtada as-Sadr movement were destroyed in the powerful explosions as well. Also demolished was the headquarters of the newspaper al-Hawzah, the official organ of Muqtada as-Sadr’s pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian movement.

Mafkarat al-Islam noted that the media controlled by the US-installed regime in Baghdad made no mention of the facilities associated with the as-Sadr movement that were destroyed in the double bombing, claiming only civilian casualties. The correspondent reported, however, that among the dead was ‘Ali al-Hadhdhal a commander in the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia and his two sons, Hasan and al-Husayn, who were responsible for the assassination of Shaykh Faraj al-Kubaysi, murdering him and then mutilating his body. Seventeen other prominent members of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia were also killed in the double bombing, Mafkarat al-Islam noted.

Puppet “Iraqi National Guard” forces take over Tuesday Market.

In a dispatch posted at 12:57pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet Iraqi military forces took over the largest central marked in eastern Baghdad and turned it into a camp for the puppet “Iraqi National Guard.”

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Tuesday Market, which was established in the time of Saddam Husayn for the “support of the Iraqi citizen” and was the largest market in the city, was taken over by puppet government troops and turned into a headquarters for their military forces.

The move was apparently aimed at providing a launching pad for campaigns against predominantly Sunni areas and organizations in the capital and to facilitate roundups and arrests. The Tuesday Market is located in the upscale Zuyunah district of Baghdad.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Samarra’.

Resistance assaults puppet police checkpoint in Samarra’ Monday noon.

In a dispatch posted at 3:28pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a puppet police checkpoint in the middle of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad at midday Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men armed with RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades and light and medium machine guns attacked the puppet police checkpoint blasting it with grenades and spraying it with gunfire. The attack inflicted heavy casualties on the puppet forces at the checkpoint but US and puppet Iraqi forces intervened quickly after the attack making an exact assessment of the nature and extent of casualties impossible.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance bomb rips US vehicle apart, reportedly killing three American troops in ad-Dulu‘iyah at noon Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:08pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in ad-Dulu‘iyah, about 100km north of Baghdad at midday Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in western ad-Dulu‘iyah blew up when a US patrol was driving through the area. The blast completely destroyed a US vehicle. The witnesses said that the explosion was so powerful that it sent parts of the American vehicle flying through the air.

The powerful blast killed at least three US troops and severely wounded two more of them, the witnesses said, adding that immediately after the attack, the Americans closed off the entire area.

Diyala Province.
Al-Miqdadiyah.

US, puppet Iraqi troops arrest 10 civilians in al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:19pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies arrested 10 local people in a campaign of raids and arrests they carried out in the al-Miqdadiyah area, about 85km northeast of Baghdad.

The al-Miqdadiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police who asked to remain anonymous as saying that US and puppet Iraqi army forces conducted raids, searches and arrests in the al-‘Asri and Filastin neighborhoods of the city, arresting 10 local residents. The source noted that the puppet “Iraqi National Guards” who accompanied the Americans also robbed houses of personal belongings and small amounts of cash, as is their normal practice during their house-to-house raids and searches.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Four US troops reported killed in powerful bomb explosion in al-Mahmudiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 7:33pm Makkah time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad on Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the al-Fallahin neighborhood of al-Mahmudiyah blew up by a passing US patrol ripping a Humvee and the four US troops who were aboard it apart.

Kirkuk.

Resistance car bomb explodes near puppet police directorate in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 2:46pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the puppet Provincial Emergency Police Directorate in Kirkuk on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in the city as saying that a Caprice car that had been parked near the puppet police directorate blew up by a patrol of the puppet Emergency Police. The source revealed no information regarding the nature or extent of casualties.

Ninwa Province.
Al-Mawsil.

Two Resistance bombs blast puppet forces in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 2:37pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by detachments of puppet police and army units in the northern city of al-Mawsil, about 420km northwest of Baghdad on Monday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked to remain anonymous as saying that one bomb went off by the northern car park in the city on the left bank (northeast side) of the city, damaging a patrol car and wounding two puppet policemen.

A second Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet Iraqi army patrol in the al-Karamah neighborhood of eastern al-Mawsil, damaging a Nissan pickup and wounding two puppet army troops.

US acknowledges soldier killed in Ninwa Province.

The Syrian Arab News Agency SANA reported on Monday that the US military had anounced that an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of a road in Ninwa Province in the north of the country had killed one US soldier wounded four more of them.

SANA quoted an Associated Press (AP) dispatch that said that the American who was killed had belonged to a First Cavalry lightning force and that he was killed in the course of combat operations.

Earlier Monday the US military had admitted that two US Marines had been killed in two separate incidents in western Iraq’s al-Anbar Province on Sunday.

Resistance car bomb targets puppet “National Guard” patrol in al-Mawsil Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:43pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a patrol of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a Resistance car bomb that had been parked by the side of a road near the Abu Tammam interchange on the right (southeast) side of the city blew up by a passing “National Guard” patrol, killing a civilian man and woman and wounding five civilians in varying degrees.

The puppet police source did not disclose the nature or extent of casualties among the puppet “National Guards,” but eyewitnesses in the area confirmed that the explosion had inflicted “heavy damage” on the patrol.
