The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a patrol that was passing through the area suddenly opened fire killing the two civilians. The witnesses said that the patrol carried on after shooting the people as if nothing particular had happened. Local residents then rushed to check the two victims but found that they had already died. The bodies were then taken to the morgue at the hospital from where they would be handed over to their families.

In a dispatch posted at 4:29pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces destroyed the home of a resident of al-Haqlaniyah, a town located near al-Hadithah, about 270km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Haqlaniyah as saying that a large American force surrounded the home of Jamal al-Hadithi, a local resident and threw the family out of the house. The US troops planted explosives all around the house and then blew it up in front of the family.

The family told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that they had worked hard for years to build the home that the Americans destroyed on the pretext that it was being used by the Resistance. The family and people in the area categorically denied that the house had been used by the Resistance or that it had been a launching pad for Resistance operations as the US troops claimed.

Ar-Ramadi.

Chief of puppet police for al-Anbar Province killed in Resistance car bomb attack on al-Warrar puppet police station in ar-Ramadi Wednesday afternoon.

In a bulletin posted at 4:41pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that minutes earlier, an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into the al-Warrar puppet police station west of ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 8:02pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the afternoon car bomb attack on the al-Warrar puppet police station had killed the puppet police commander for al-Anbar Province, Brigadier General Salam Muhammad ‘Abbas al-‘Alluni, along with his aide and 15 other members of the puppet police.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that another 30 puppet policemen were wounded in the massive car bomb attack.

The death of the chief of the puppet police of al-Anbar Province was announced by the director of the local hospital.

Resistance blasts US al-Warrar base near ar-Ramadi with Grad rockets early Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:41pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Grad rockets into the US al-Warrar base located west of ar-Ramadi − which is 110km west of Baghdad − at 7am local time Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Jazirah Street area as saying that the attack on the al-Warrar Base in the Sadd Nazim area set off explosions that were heard throughout the city. The attack sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky as sirens wailed within the base. Residents saw US helicopters flying in at low altitude over the base, indicating that the facility had taken direct hits in the rocket barrage.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet “National Guard” soldier in al-Fallujah Wednesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 3:56pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a puppet Iraqi army soldier at a checkpoint in northern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported motorists who were waiting at the checkpoint to get out of the city and witnessed the attack as saying that a Resistance sharpshooter killed a puppet “National Guard” soldier at the as-Sakinah checkpoint with a direct shot to the head.

Chaos descended on the surviving puppet troops following the attack, witnesses said. The soldiers closed the checkpoint in front of all the cars lined up there and then at gunpoint forced the drivers to disperse, preventing everyone on both sides of the roadblock from entering or leaving the city.

Starting Tuesday, the correspondent reported, the authorities had tightened their restrictions of traffic entering and leaving al-Fallujah.

US forces arrest nine in al-Karmah Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 2:23pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested nine local residents of al-Karmah, 7km east of al-Fallujah on Tuesday.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ash-Shihabi area of al-Karmah as saying that US forces surrounded the area all during the night with a very large force and then swept through, arresting nine local men on charges of membership in the Resistance.

The correspondent reported that the Americans had been escalating their campaign against local residents throughout the area west of Baghdad, making more arrests. US forces arrested five residents of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

One patrol car was destroyed and four of the puppet policemen were killed in the explosion

Al-Anbar Salvation Council puppet police rampage through streets of al-Fallujah Tuesday, in “show of force.”

In a dispatch posted at 11:41am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police drove into al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Tuesday shooting wildly at shops and car sales lots.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet “Salvation Council” police swept through the streets, specifically 40 Street, the central street in the city, in an attempt to show their strength to the people.

The correspondent reported that the scene was strange, not resembling any normal attempt to impose “security.” The puppet “Salvation Council” police, all of whom had covered their faces with black ski masks, drove through in about 40 various unmarked cars, firing wildly at the shops and car lots that line the street. They shouted insults and derision as they shot out car tires and smashed car windows with their guns to the astonishment of the local people.

The witnesses said that the puppet “Salvation Council” police took cans of benzene from the boys who sell the fuel on 40 Street, and spilled it out around the street while shouting lewd insults at passers by.

The correspondent reported local people as saying that the puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police generally use civilian vehicles when they attack so as to suggest that Resistance fighters were carrying out the raid. The “al-Anbar Salvation Council” puppet police were formed by ‘Abd as-Sattar ar-Rishawi, a tribal leader who is collaborating with the occupation. The force receives its supplies and funding from the US-backed Nuri al-Maliki puppet regime and is despised by residents of al-Anbar Province.

US forces arrest 14 youths in al-Fallujah, some as young as 13.

In a dispatch posted at 10:52am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces carried out a new campaign of raids and arrests of civilians in the middle of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Tuesday evening.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Dr. Muhannad Sa‘dun, a resident of the al-‘Askari neighborhood, as saying that a force of US Marines and several vehicles set up moveable road blocks and stormed into the al-‘Askari district in eastern al-Fallujah on Tuesday evening after the call to the sunset prayer had been given. The Americans began searches and raids of most houses in the area. Sa‘dun said that more than 14 youths were arrested, some of them as young as 13.

US forces have increased the number of raids they have been carrying out in recent weeks. Resistance forces have targeted the main US command post in the al-Muwazzafin area and also the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” camp. That camp consists of a group of houses that the “National Guard” commandeered from local residents for use as billets and sniper posts.

Baghdad.

In bid to rein in Iranian influence in Iraq, US forces raid notorious Buratha Shi‘i mosque. American forces release 12 Sunnis who were undergoing torture in the sectarian shrine, find bodies of six others who were tortured to death.

In a dispatch posted at 6:08pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces raided the notorious Buratha Shi‘i mosque run by Iranian cleric and member of the Iraqi puppet “Parliament” Jalal as-Saghir. The raid set free 12 Sunnis who had been undergoing torture at the hands of the Shi‘i sectarian death squads in the mosque. The American troops found another six bodies of Sunnis who had already been tortured to death.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet security sources as saying that the raided the Shi‘i mosque at about 2:30am Wednesday morning and came out at about 5:15am. During their operation in side the set free 12 Sunni torture victims, found six bodies, and seized seven Iranian M1 machine guns, hand grenades, sniper rifles, silencers, and dozens of official identification cards of the puppet regime − IDs used by followers of Jalal as-Saghir in their sectarian attacks.

The source said that the Americans spent more than an hour searching through the grave yard behind the Shi‘i mosque. They placed more than 40 phosphorous strips on more than 40 graves believed to be those of Sunnis murdered in the mosque and secretly buried there. The US forces also confiscated cash estimated at US$320,000 as well as portable telephones.

The Americans destroyed Jalal as-Saghir’s office and searched through his papers and files, trampling his turban with their boots.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent noted that Jalal as-Saghir had in the past hailed the American invaders in Iraq as the heaven-sent saviors of the Shi‘ah of Iraq. His current status in the eyes of the US occupation is another example of what happens to stooges after they outlive their usefulness to the occupier.

The Iranian regime − making use of the Badr Brigades that trained for decades in Iran; the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, run by the Shi‘i cleric Muqtada as-Sadr; the Shi‘i sectarian Da‘wah party, headed by puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki; Jalal as-Saghir and other Shi‘i sectarian clerical forces − is seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq as it leaves under the blows of the Iraqi Resistance. The US, on the other hand, which has made use of Shi‘i sectarian militias in its drive to occupy and control Iraq, is now attempting to reduce Iranian influence in the country and has begun to try to rein in the more extreme sectarian militias. But since those same sectarian militias constitute the backbone of the Iraqi puppet army, police, and security services, the effectiveness of any such American effort is bound to be extremely limited.

US carries out mass raids, arrests in Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah district before dawn Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 5:24pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces together with their Iraqi puppet security allies carried out raids, searches, and arrests in the predominantly Sunni western Baghdad district of al-Ghazaliyah at 4am local time before dawn on Wednesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Ghazaliyah as saying that the joint force raided a number of innocent people’s homes in the al-Baddalah Street area of al-Ghazaliyah, blowing down doors and windows with explosives, storming inside, smashing furniture and terrorizing women and children. An unknown number of men were arrested and driven away to an unknown destination.

Shi‘i sectarian militias blamed for shelling of Sunni neighborhood in northern Baghdad Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:31pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a Sunni neighborhood on the northern side of Baghdad was the target of a mortar attack Wednesday morning. One local resident was killed and another 16 of them were wounded.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Rashidiyah, where members of the well-known Sunni ad-Dulaym tribe reside, as saying that mortar shells struck residential homes and gardens in the area, killing one and wounding 16 more − all of whom were taken to hospital for treatment. The barrage also damaged the houses and yards it targeted and local residents blamed Shi‘i sectarian militias − the Jaysh al-Mahdi or the Badr Brigades − for the attack.

Car bomb explodes in Baghdad district.

In a dispatch posted at 3:43pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two people were killed and seven more injured − all believed to have been members of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias − when an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of a road in southwestern Baghdad blew up at noon Wednesday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the car bomb was parked by the side of the main road in the al-Bayya‘ district of the city. The source said that puppet security forces raced to close off the area and surround it.

The correspondent reported that the al-Bayya‘ district is crowded with members of the Jaysh al-Mahdi and Badr Brigades − the Shi‘i sectarian militias that drove Sunni residents out of the area and took over their homes.

Bush − al-Maliki “Security offensive” launched in Baghdad Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:43pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Wednesday marked the official start of the so-called “New Baghdad Security Plan.”

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that large detachments of puppet police and “National Guards” were in the streets of the occupied Iraqi capital, where an unprecedented number of roadblocks and checkpoints had been erected.

The puppet “government” of Nuri al-Maliki has dubbed the measure the “Maintenance of the Law” plan. Residents of the Sunni districts of the city told Mafkarat al-Islam that the puppet “National Guards” and police were targeting them specially, as they put the Sunni areas under the charge of the Jaysh al-Mahdi and Badr Brigades − the death squads that the Americans claimed to be trying to eliminate in their security sweep.

On Wednesday, the areas of al-A‘zamiyah and al-Fadl were subjected to raids and searches.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance fighters blast US Abrams tank in ad-Dulu‘iyah Wednesday evening. American troops open fire on passers by, killing two peasants, wounding four.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the rockets destroyed the tank as it drove into the al-Jabbur area. Witnesses said that flames were burning from the tank’s turret and fore section and between four and six US troops who were inside when the Resistance attacked were believed to have been killed.

US troops opened fire at passers by to keep anyone from approaching the scene of the attack. The wild American gunfire killed two peasants and wounded four more people in a car that happened to be driving through the area at the time.

No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported villagers as saying that the battle lasted more than 15 minutes and that the Resistance fighters withdrew when US reinforcements showed up along with US helicopters that cruised over the area. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available. The correspondent reported that the area around Hibhib is currently the scene of frequent battles between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US troops together with their puppet Iraqi “National Guard” allies.

The source said that the attack sparked a battle between the two sides that lasted for about 20 minutes, at which time the Resistance fighters slipped away from the area. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb that had been parked in the area exploded by a passing American patrol. A source in the puppet police declined to provide information on the nature or extent of casualties suffered by the US unit in the attack.

Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the explosion had been extremely big, destroying two US military vehicles and killing at least four American troops and wounding five more of them.
