Ar-Ramadi.
US to return cell phone service to ar-Ramadi in hopes local will use it to report Resistance activity.
In a dispatch posted at 6:57pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that sources in the Communications Department of ar-Ramadi have said that the American occupation forces are planning to re-install cellular telephone service in the area, having put a stop to it two years earlier. The Americans now hope to get local informers to use cell phones to report Iraqi Resistance fighter activity in the city.
The Deputy Director of the Communications Department in ar-Ramadi, Engineer Daydan Muhammad, told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that US forces would re-install the communications towers needed to extend the cellular telephone network to ar-Ramadi in coming days, following an absence of two years.
Daydan Muhammad said that the Americans hope that local informers will use cell phones to tell the US troops when they spot Resistance fighters in the city. They have already set aside a designated phone number for people to dial to report what the Americans call “terrorists.”
The correspondent reported that US forces have returned cellular telephone service to the nearby cities of al-Habbaniyah and al-Khalidiyah where they are now working. The Americans set up and widely publicized numbers for informers to use to call in US troops to attack Iraqi Resistance fighters.
Hit.
“Maybe drunk or just having fun,” US sniper kills Iraqi civilian in Hit.
In a dispatch posted at 5pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a US sniper shot and killed an Iraqi civilian in the city of Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood as saying that an American sniper perched atop a tall building in the city shot down Ahmad ‘Ali Falih for no apparent reason. The witnesses said that Falih was walking near the building that had been the police station before the US invasion in 2003 when the American sniper’s bullet struck him in the head, killing him instantly.
The correspondent commented that “as usual the Americans gave no reason for the killing other than to say that one of their soldiers might have been drunk or just having fun.”
‘Anah.
US troops blow up ‘Anah Post Office with no explanation before the eyes of astonished local residents.
In a dispatch posted at 3:42pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces blew up the ‘Anah Post Office building in front of the eyes of astonished local residents on Sunday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from ‘Anah, 300km northwest of Baghdad, that a force of US troops in various military vehicles deployed in the city near the complex of government buildings on Sunday. They forcibly drove employees out of their offices in the post office building, telling them to get out immediately. Without explanation, the Americans then placed explosives inside the building and blew it up as local residents looked on.
The government building complex in ‘Anah comprised the administrative offices of the district, the city hospital and the ‘Anah post office.
Al-Fallujah.
Mortar shells of unknown origin slam into al-Fallujah street midday Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:29pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two mortar shells landed on 40 Street in al-Fallujah at midday Sunday. One of the shells struck a commercial shop selling car tires and the other landed in the middle of the street. There were no casualties.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported people on 40 Street as saying that the two rounds of unknown origin blasted into the area. There were no casualties because the owner of the tire shop happened to be next door at the time the shell blasted into his store.
Tension in the city has been high following repeated daily arrests of local residents by the puppet “National Guards” and the tightened security measures that has restricted and slowed traffic entering and leaving the city.
Resistance bomb in as-Saqlawiyah leaves three US troops reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 4:07pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the as-Saqlawiyah area, 17km north of al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Bu Shihab village as saying that a massive bomb exploded by the patrol, destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops. Witnesses said that the Americans kept the scene of the attack cordoned off for five continuous hours as they looked for one of their men who had been manning a gun aboard the vehicle. They finally found parts of his body by the side of a small stream that runs near the area, called locally al-Bazal.
Afterwards, US troops carried out searches of houses in the area looking for the attackers who planted the bomb but found nothing. The then left the area after hauling away the wreckage of the vehicle.
Resistance marksman kills puppet soldier in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:53pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an puppet soldier in al-Fallujah on Sunday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a puppet soldier who was in a Humvee on patrol moving through the al-Jaghifi neighborhood of al-Fallujah, when he was struck and killed by a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet. The other troops on the patrol responded by shooting wildly all around them, as is the style of US soldiers and the puppet forces they have trained.
US troops arrest, terrorize three local men in al-Fallujah Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at12:33pam Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested a puppet government employee and two other civilians − one of them an elderly man − in the city of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Saturday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Nuwwab ad-Dubbat neighborhood in northern al-Fallujah as saying that US troops violently stormed the house of a government employee, blowing open the door to his yard with a percussion grenade, and then blasting open his house door in the same way. The Americans savagely smashed his furniture and arrested the man.
The witnesses said that the US troops then raided several other houses in the area and arrested two more men, one of them elderly. The Americans let their police dogs loose on the captive men and treated them in a way meant to terrorize and intimidate them, even though the captives were just ordinary residents who have no connection with any armed activity against the occupation, the local witnesses said.

Resistance fighters shoot down unmanned US spy plane over western Baghdad Sunday afternoon.
In a bulletin posted at 5:04pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a few minutes earlier Resistance fighters in the western Baghdad district of ar-Ridwaniyah shot down an unmanned US spy plane.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Islamic Army Resistance group as saying that the airplane crashed to earth after coming under a hail of anti-aircraft fire from their men. The source said that the fighters who brought down the reconnaissance plane returned safely from their mission.
Mysterious bomb explodes by College of al-Mustansiriyah University killing, wounding dozens.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by the College of Administration and Economics of al-Mustansiriyah University in eastern Baghdad, killing and wounding dozens.
A dispatch posted later by Quds Press reported that about 40 Iraqis were killed and about 40 more wounded in the bombing, which was carried out by a man wearing an explosive belt. The bomber reportedly blew himself up by the main entrance to the college in the al-Bunuk area of the city, his target being the main checkpoint through which people must go on their way in or out of the school.
Car bomb targets Iranian embassy guards in Baghdad’s as-Salihiyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 2:28pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by the Iranian embassy in the as-Salihiyah area of Baghdad, killing two pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen and wounding four more of them.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Kia that had been parked on the side of the road blew up by the motorcade carrying guards of the Iranian embassy, one mile from the US occupation command in the so-called “Green Zone” around the Republican Palace.
The correspondent reported that the explosion inflicted slight material damage to the Iranian embassy building, blowing out window glass and bringing down secondary roofs. A medical source declared that all the dead and wounded were embassy guards.
Two US troops reported killed in “huge explosion” in northern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 11:49am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in northern Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the ar-Rabi‘ Street near the entrance to the al-Hurriyah district of northern Baghdad went off in an extremely large explosion by a passing US patrol. The huge blast destroyed a Humvee almost completely, killing two US troops and wounding three more of them.
The Americans responded by firing indiscriminately and violently around the area and then US reinforcements arrived a short time later and closed off the scene.

Resistance bomb kills puppet policeman in al-Miqdadiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:57pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by puppet police patrol in al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a local puppet police source as saying that the bomb destroyed a patrol car and killed one puppet policeman and severely wounded six more of them. The body of the dead man was taken to the forensic medical department and the wounded were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

In a dispatch posted at 12:07pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet Iraqi army troops in al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the city near the Salamah junction went off by a puppet army patrol, destroying a Humvee. Witnesses on the scene added that they saw the vehicle on fire after the blast and believed it probable that at least three puppet troops had been killed or wounded. The witnesses said that the puppet soldiers opened fire indiscriminately around the area after the attack, for fear that the Resistance might pounce on them.
Ba‘qubah.
Resistance fighters assault puppet police checkpoint Saturday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a puppet police checkpoint in Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad, on Saturday afternoon.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a group of attackers in a late-model civilian car opened intense fire in a lightning attack on the checkpoint at the “7 Nisan” intersection in the city at about 4:30pm local time Saturday afternoon, killing one puppet policeman and wounding another who had to be hospitalized for treatment.

Resistance bomb wounds two puppet policemen in al-Mawsil Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb wounded two puppet policemen in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Sunday morning.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked to remain anonymous as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the al-Wahdah neighborhood near the as-Salam hospital in the eastern part of the city went off by a puppet police patrol, damaging a patrol car and wounding two puppet policemen. The two policemen were taken to as-Salam hospital for treatment.
Puppet policeman killed in al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 12:09pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men shot and killed a puppet policeman in an attack on a patrol in the northern city of al-Mawsil Sunday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that masked fighters in a civilian car attacked the patrol in the Hubb al-Bakr area of the city, spraying them with gunfire and killing one and damaging the puppet police patrol vehicle. The attackers then left the area.
US troops raid house in al-Mawsil, kill two brothers on Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:08pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces stormed into a house in western al-Mawsil on Saturday. There the Americans killed two brothers and arrested two more. Meanwhile an unknown gunman shot and killed a former official with the Arab Baath Socialist Party.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops stormed into a family house in the az-Zanjili area of the city, killing two brothers in the family living there and arresting two more. A source in the puppet police said that the Forensic Medicine Department in al-Mawsil picked up the bodies and said that both had died of gunshots from American weapons.
In the other incident unknown gunmen raided the home of Ibrahim Hamdan who was the Secrtaray of the Umm ar-Rabi‘in branch committee of the Baath Party in the Palestine District of al-Mawsil and killed him. Iranian agents operating in occupied Iraq have reportedly killed many former Iraqi military men, officials, and intellectuals.
Tall ‘Afar.
Two puppet policemen wounded in Sunday Resistance ambush.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet police in Tall ‘Afar clashed with Resistance fighters in a battle that left two other puppet policemen wounded, one of them extremely seriously.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked not to be identified as saying that Resistance men in a car attacked a puppet police patrol that had halted near a car park in Tall ‘Afar, sparking a machine gun battle. The only casualties reported on either side in the attack were the two puppet policemen who were taken to hospital for treatment.

Bomb wounds British troops just north of al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:47pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by a British patrol north of the city of al-Basrah, destroying a patrol vehicle and wounding three members of its crew.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the bomb went off on Naval Academy Road near the Tariq neighborhood 8km north of al-Basrah. After the blast, the British troops surrounded the area, evacuated the wounded men and hauled away the wrecked vehicle to one of their bases.
