Al-Fallujah.

Resistance car bomber blasts US Humvee apart in al-Fallujah; entire American crew believed dead.

In a dispatch posted at 9:20pm Baghdad time Friday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter in an explosives-packed car drove past the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Friday afternoon and slammed into a US column.

The AMSI reported a media source as saying that the car bomb exploded in a massive blast that blew a US Humvee apart, scattering pieces of the vehicle around the area. The source believed that the explosion probably killed all the US troops aboard.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance blasts US headquarters Tuesday afternoon.

In a communique´ posted on its website Friday, 16 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Iraqi Jihad Groups (‘Asa’ib al-‘Iraq al-Jihadiyah) announced that one of its units had fired two Grad rocket at the headquarters of US forces by the al-Hadithah Dam, 270km northwest of Baghdad, at 5:15pm local time Tuesday afternoon, 15 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the rockets scored direct hits on their target.

Baghdad.

ABC announces two Iraqi employees killed in Baghdad attack Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:44pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American ABC Television network had announced that two of its workers had been killed in an attack in Baghdad late Thursday evening.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported the station manager of ABC as saying early Friday that cameraman ‘Ala’ ad-Din ‘Aziz, 33, and sound engineer Sayf Layth Yusuf, 26 − both of them Iraqi − had been killed in the attack.

The American CNN network reported that a car in which the ABC employees were riding was ambushed as the men were on their way back home from work at the station in Baghdad.

Resistance forces report disabling US vehicle Thursday.

In a communique´ dated Thursday, 17 May 2007 and posted on its website, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Army of the Rashideen announced that one of its units had detonated a bomb by a US military vehicle in southern Baghdad, disabling the vehicle.

Resistance fighters kill two puppet army troops Sunday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 3:05pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units killed two puppet army troops in the Baghdad district of al-Mahdiyah on Sunday, 13 May 2007.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Samarra’.

Ten civilians, seven of them children, die in Samarra’ as result of US blockade of city and cut off of water, electricity.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 10 Iraqis, seven of them infant children, had died in Samarra’ Hospital because of lack of medical supplies and the lack of electricity due to the American lockdown of the city, in which all electric power has been shut down and no supplies are allowed into the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that under the lockdown of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, no one is allowed out onto the main streets of the city and all running water and electricity have been cut off. In addition the US and its puppet regime in Baghdad have blockaded the city, preventing supplies from getting in.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance group reports destruction of minesweeper Wednesday.

In a communique´ posted on its website Friday, 16 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Iraqi Jihad Groups (‘Asa’ib al-‘Iraq al-Jihadiyah) announced that one of its units had detonated a bomb by a mine sweeper vehicle at the end of the ad-Dulu‘iyah Bridge, 97km north of Baghda at 2:50pm local time Wednesday afternoon, 16 May 2007.

The communique´ reported that the explosion totally destroyed the minesweeper, killing all aboard.

Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.

Resistance attack on US camp in Ba‘qubah forces US troops to seek protection of helicopter gun ships Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:54pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that about 50 Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a US base in the city of Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad on Friday morning, sparking fighting that forced the Americans to call in helicopter support.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a spokesman for the puppet army − who asked not to be identified − as saying that the attack, in the heart of Ba‘qubah, compelled the US forces to call in help from helicopter gun ships that opened fire on the Resistance men, killing or wounding six of them.

Al-Jazeera satellite TV could find no independent witnesses who could confirm the puppet regime’s claim of casualties among the Resistance men.

Witnesses said that smoke could be seen rising over the area and that a big battle had taken place in the area around the American camp. One local resident said that he heard people shouting “Allahu akbar!” (“God is greatest!”) and then the sound of bullets zinging around the area as tanks spend through the streets.

An officer in the Iraqi puppet military said that the Americans had set up the base two months earlier in a three-story building that had previously been closed down.

Salman Bak.

Resistance blasts puppet headquarters in Salman Bak Monday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:22pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that on of its units fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a headquarters jointly occupied by the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” and puppet army in the Salman Bak area, 35km southeast of Baghdad at 11am local time Monday, 14 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the mortar shells scored direct hits on their target.

Babil Province.
Al-Musayyib.

Resistance car bomb blasts puppet police checkpoint in al-Musayyib.

In a dispatch posted at 3:04pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by the puppet police in al-Musayyib, about 70km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police sources as saying that the blast killed three people and wounded four. Although the source would not specify how many of the casualties were puppet policemen, ht acknowledged that “most” of them belonged to the US-backed police force that serves the American occupation.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

US arrests dozens in brutal raids across villages south of Baghdad, as divers are brought in to search Euphrates waters for captured American troops.

In a dispatch posted at 2:33 GMT Friday, Quds Press reported that US forces carried out mass arrests of dozens of civilian residents of the areas south of Baghdad on Friday in their continuing search for three Americans captured by the Iraqi Resistance last Saturday, 12 May.

Residents of the area told Quds Press that in the villages of Sayyid ‘Abdallah, Bushaybishah, al-Gharir, as-Sa‘idat, al-Jannabiyin, Shakhkhah 3, Suq al-Lahm, and the al-Qa‘qa‘ complex, the Americans arrested dozens of local residents as they carried out raids and searches in those areas. The witnesses described the behavior of the Americans as “crude,” pointing out that they were smashing down and blasting open the doors of people’s homes using explosives, and were closing all the irrigation canals and running water and were bringing in huge pieces of digging equipment. They also brought in divers to search the waters of the Euphrates River and other waterways in the area.

US admits three Americans killed in Resistance land mine explosion south of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 9:26am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded by a US military vehicle, killing three US soldiers and wounding four more of them, the American occupation authorities admitted in a statement.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the American statement as saying the landmine exploded under a vehicle in a US patrol that was searching the area in Babil Province south of Baghdad where the Iraqi Resistance captured three American soldiers on Saturday, 12 May.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance bomb kills two puppet “Shock Troops” Friday morning.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 3:25pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units detonated a bomb by a vehicle belonging to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the ‘Uwayrij area near al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad at 10am local time Friday morning.

The communique´ reported that the blast totally destroyed the vehicle, killing two puppet “Shock Troops.”

Resistance assault Friday morning kills three puppet “Iraqi National Guards.”

In a communique´ posted on its website at 3:21pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its guerrilla detachments armed with light and medium weapons assaulted a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the ‘Uwayrij area near al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad at 8am local time Friday morning, 18 May. Three of the puppet “National Guards” were killed in the attack, the communique´ reported.

Saturday morning Resistance attack kills two puppet “National Guards.”

In a communique´ posted on its website at 4pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units attacked a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the al-Yusufiyah area, 30km southwest of Baghdad, at 10am local time Saturday morning, 12 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the attack left two of the puppet “Guards” dead.

Al-Hillah.

Resistance fighters kill puppet army official Wednesday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 3:14pm Friday, 18 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units shot and killed an official in the puppet army in the al-Jablah area, about 60km south of Baghdad, and north of al-Hillah, at 8am local time Wednesday, 16 May 2007.
