英文で、都政の問題を取り上げてくださっているGreenvoiceのイラスト（絵解き）をご紹介します。

ぜひとも、英語圏（ならびに英語の読解のできる）知人友人の方に、日本は政権交代はしたのに、首都は相変わらずこんな暴挙だらけで、およそオリンピック招致どころでない（憲章違反を繰り返すクび長に市民が苦しめられる都市でもある）、ということを伝えていただければと思います。

それと、下記が、築地市場をとっても不自然な形で分断して、それもわざわざ2008年になって、築地近辺だけ、地下化計画を突如完全に翻して高架化した（近隣住民の方も怒っています）、かのオリンピック道路＝環状2号線（マッカーサー道路の延長）で、とても理解しやすいものです。

築地市場はこの道路でまるでギロチンで分断されるかのようにあり、現在地での再整備（少なくとも今の市場の良いシステムを残しながらの再整備）を不可能にさせられます。
これは、イシハラおよびそのお仲間の都市計画審議会が、地下化の計画をぐるっと反転させて、高架化にしたものです。
さて、この地図を反転させると・・・

イシハラ都知事を包囲する、巨大なクエスチョンマークになっています。

Originally this trunk line of city road had been being constructed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), step by step, since 1993, that is, far earlier than the year of 2005 when Governor Ishihara formally decided to bid for the 2016 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Thereafter it came to be called the "Olympic Road" as some principal facilities for the games were designed to be built along it.
As indicated on the map (Olympic-Road.jpg), the existing, northern, out-of-round section of the Loop Road No. 2 can be observed as a product of "compromises" here and there, resulted from common practices of road building, while the straight line of the southern section must reasonably have come from the particular condition of landfill sites. Then, why is one more "compromise" not possible for the Tsukiji market?
Indeed the road concerned had been rather harmless for Tsukiji, due to its initial plan to pass there through an underground tunnel, until the subterranean route was reviewed and replanned to a surface and elevated one in 2004 after the relocation of market was announced in 2001. This change were rational, if the majority of people at Tsukiji had found no problem to move to Toyosu where the market was planned to relocate to. However, strangely enough, the shift was officially determined by a council of which members were selected by the TMG, in spite of overwhelming oppositions from citizens, in 2007, when the serious soil pollution at Toyosu began to be publicized by the TMG themselves.
More strangely, Governor Ishihara's administration asserted: the Tsukiji market relocation is one thing, and the change to aboveground route another. But saying so, they proceeded to take official processes, including some assignment of budget, for construction of piers of the replanned elevated road. Obviously they ignored the possibility that the relocation of market could be overhauled. It must be noted that such a kind of unbelievable absurdity was virtually allowed because it was not covered by any major media.
Also, it must be underlined that the new aboveground course was designed to be bidimensionally identical with the original subterranean one virtually, while there must be no necessity for it. One could rather take even such a possible measure to avoid division of the Tsukiji area as bypassing the market along/above the the Tsukiji River on the west side from Shiodome to the vacant space above the canal over the Sumida River. Then, one could wonder if Governor Ishihara's administration, disregarding even the simple measure, had a "deliberation" to destroy the Tsukiji market in order to sell off the land.

東京都の石原慎太郎知事は１８日の定例記者会見で、２０１６年夏季五輪招致に失敗した場合の自身の進退について、「都の行政は何もこれ（五輪招致）だけじゃなくて、いろんな問題がある」と述べ、知事にとどまる意向を示唆した。
招致の結果次第での進退判断に含みを持たせていた過去の発言を事実上、修正した形だ。

　石原知事はこの中で「銀行の再建もあるし、環境の問題もある。１０年計画も立てているわけだ。何もこれだけが最大の政治イシューじゃない」と強調した。
同五輪の開催都市は１０月２日にデンマークのコペンハーゲンで開かれる国際オリンピック委員会（ＩＯＣ）総会で決まる予定。　
　
石原知事は３選を果たした０７年４月の知事選で、公約の一つとして五輪招致を提唱。選挙直前の政策発表会見で、招致を逃した場合について「その時点で責任取らなきゃいかんでしょうな」と発言したほか、今年４月の定例会見では「（五輪招致レースの）勝ち方、負け方の問題だろうね」と、失敗時の進退に含みを持たせていた。
