America aims for a base upon the Golan Heights, through Syrian acceptance of land for peace
Syrian President, Bashar al-Asad's, approval of the "land for peace proposal by Abdullah, is a significant step towards fulfilling the American plan to establish a US base upon the highly strategic Golan Heights.
For over a decade, America has supported Israel's building of settlements on the Golan Heights, whilst at the same time insisting that Israel and Syria need to resolve their differences over this area.
This duality is due to the American aim to create a volatile situation wherein resolution of the Golan Heights could not occur without her intervention, under the pretext of peace keeping.
US intervention is intended as a prelude to a permanent base upon a plateau which overlooks the entire Middle East."
