●16人のアラブ人宗教学者の尋問開始
ラホール（ＡＮＮ）：
アメリカ情報部（FBI）は、ラホール（パキスタン）のチョハン・センターに拘留されている16人のアラブ人学者の調査を開始した。
この人たちはアフガニスタンの境界からパキスタンに入った為にアメリカとパキスタンの合同特殊部隊に逮捕された。
逮捕の数日後に到着したＦＢＩは尋問に加えて、彼等が以前アメリカによって手配されていたかどうかをチェックするためにこの人たちの写真等の全データを外務省と情報機関に送った。
●カナダ兵、地雷で負傷
カンダハル（イスラム・ニュース）：
カンダハル市で通常の警戒任務に就いていたカナダ兵が対人地雷に触れて重傷を負った。
レポートによれば、兵士の足が地雷にぶつかったときに爆発が起きた。
彼は治療のために直ちに近くの医学キャンプへ連れて行かれた。しかし、彼の病状に関する公式のコメントはない。
●イエメンの首都サナで爆発＆砲撃
サナ（インターネット・ニュース）：
アラブ・ニュース・エージェンシーはイエメンの首都サナの東部地域で大きな爆発と砲撃があったと報じた。
地元の警察は爆発と砲撃があったことを認めたが、それ以上の詳細の提供を拒否した。
アメリカ大使館は爆破事件が起きた地域からちょうど2、3キロメートルのところにある。
大使館は過去5日間、イエメン国民からの脅威のために閉鎖されていた。
政府にアメリカ関係者との関係を全て断ち切るよう求めた熱い要求は攻撃者が大使館を目標としていたことの表れである。
地元の親アル・カーイダ組織のうちの1つは、アル・カーイダとのリンクを持つとの容疑で不法にイエメン政府に拘束されている173人の容疑者の釈放を要求した。

LAHORE (ANN):
The U.S. Intelligence Agency, FBI, has started investigations on the sixteen Arab scholars being held in the Chohang centre in Lahore, Pakistan.
These men were arrested in a joint operation by U.S. and Pakistani special forces troops as they entered Pakistan from the Afghan border.
Along with interrogations, The FBI, which arrived a few days after the arrests, has sent pictures and other data of these men to all its foreign offices and other intelligence agencies in order to check if they have been wanted previously by the U.S.
Canadian Soldier Severely Injured by Landmine Explosion
KANDAHAR (Islam News):
A Canadian soldier on routine guard duty in the city of Kandahar was severely injured when he stepped on an anti-personnel landmine.
According to reports, the explosion occurred when the soldier's foot struck the mine.
He was immediately taken to a nearby medical camp for treatment, but there has been no official comment on his condition.
Sana City Rocked by Explosions and Gunfire as U.S. Embassy Re-opens in Yemen
SANA (Internet News):
An Arab news agency reported heavy gunfire and explosions in the eastern region of the Yemeni capital, Sana.
The local police have also confirmed the explosions and firing, but refused to provide any further details.
The American embassy is just a few kilometres from the area where the incident occurred.
The embassy had been closed for the past five days due to threats from the Yemeni people and heated calls for the government to sever all ties with the U.S. Sources have revealed that the attackers were targeting the embassy.
One of the local pro-Al-Qaida organisations has demanded the release of 173 suspects being held illegally by the Yemen government on the suspicion of having links with Al-Qaida.
