●カンダハル空軍基地爆破計画失敗
カンダハル(アッザーム)：
基地へ燃料を運ぶパキスタンのオイル・タンカーにセットされた２つの爆破装置が早まって基地の外のガソリンスタンドで爆発し、カンダハル空港米軍基地爆破計画は失敗した。
この早すぎた爆発で死者がでたとの報告はない。また、米当局はコメントを拒否している。
アフガニスタン暫定政権のサービスマンは、この企てにタリバンあるいはアル・カーイダが関与しているのではないかと疑っている。
爆発の直後にガソリンスタンドにアメリカのAPCが来たのが目撃された。そして、米部隊は近接地域に防御態勢をしいた。
ガソリンスタンドのオーナーは、1週前に未知のアタッカーがこのガソリンスタンドを狙ってロケットとミサイルを打ち込んだが、ミサイルは（目標を外れて）砂漠で爆発したと話した。
これはカンダハルの米国基地に対する攻撃としてはここ1ヶ月のうちで4回目のものである。
この事件の結果、7台のパキスタンのオイルタンカーのドライバーが米兵によって拘留されたが、後に釈放された。
これらのオイルタンカーは（米軍の軍用車と航空機に燃料を供給するために）クエッタからカンダハルへ向かう途中だった。
タンカーのドライバーは、彼らが眠っている夜のうちに爆破装置がオイルタンカーに仕掛けられたと語った。
●カラチ国際空港とジャコババード空軍基地に自殺攻撃警報
カラチ（アッザーム）：
ＦＢＩは、アル・カーイダがカラチ国際空港とジャコババードのシャバズ空軍基地を目標とする自殺攻撃計画を準備していると発表した。
この警報に従って、そこに配備されている連合軍のセキュリティのために米コマンドが（上記の場所に）配備された。
高度な情報に通じている情報筋は、ＦＢＩはその最新レポートで、「オサマ・ビン・ラディンのアル・カーイダが、ジャコババードのシャバズ空軍基地とカラチ国際空港に対する自殺攻撃を計画している」と、主張していると語った。
情報筋はさらに、これらの軍隊が駐留している建物にはそのような攻撃を懸念してカメラと他の高感度器材が取り付けられていると語った。
ＦＢＩレポートは、パキスタン政府がとったセキュリティ処置は偽者だと断言している。
そして、米国政府に対してその当局者のセキュリティの為にこれらの地区への米コマンドの配備を要求している。
我々の信頼できる情報筋は、シャバズ空軍基地周辺5kmの地域が米軍の監視カメラによって厳しく監視されていることを明かした。

Plot To Destroy Kandahar Airbase With Explosives Fails
KANDAHAR(AZZAM) :
A plot to destroy the US military base at Kandahar Airport failed when two explosives devices set in Pakistani oil tankers used for carrying fuel to the airbase, exploded prematurely at a gas station outside the base.
No loss of life was reported from the premature explosions and US authorities refused to comment.
Afghan interim government servicemen suspect that Taliban or Al-Qaida were involved in this attempt.
Soon afterwards, American APC's were seen arriving at the gas station in question and US troops took up defensive positions in the vicinity.
The owner of the gas station said that one week ago, unknown attackers launched rockets and missiles at his station but that those missiles detonated in the desert.
This is the fourth such attack in the past month at the US military base in Kandahar.
Following this incident, the drivers of seven Pakistani oil tankers were taken into custody by US soldiers but were released later.
These oil tankers were en-route to Kandahar from Quetta to supply fuel for US military vehicles and aircraft.
The drivers of the tankers said that explosives were set in the oil tankers during the night when they were asleep.
Suicide Attacks Feared in Karachi And Jacobabad Airbase
KARACHI (AZZAM) :
The FBI announced that Al-Qaida has prepared plans of more suicide attacks at Karachi International Airport and Jacobabad's Shahbaz airbase.
Following this alert, US commandos have been deployed at the above locations for the safety of the Coalition troops stationed there.
A highly informed source said that the FBI, in its latest report, claimed that Usama Bin Ladin's Al- Qaida is planning to carry out more suicide attacks at Karachi International airport and Shahbaz Airbase in Jacobabad.
The source further said that buildings housing these troops are fitted with cameras and other sensitive equipment in fear of such attacks.
According to the FBI report, the safety measures taken by Pakistan government were declared as bogus and it demanded that the US government deploys US commandos at these locations for the security of its officials.
Our reliable sources further disclosed that a 5km area around Shahbaz Airbase is under close observation from American troops with the aid of cameras.
The FBI has also carried out background checks on the Pakistani security servicemen who are presently engaged in duties at these locations.
It must be noted that several times in the past the Shahbaz Airbase has come under rocket attacks, while a similar such attack set to strike Coalition troops at the Old Terminal of Karachi International Airport was foiled when authorities discovered the primed rockets.
