●アメリカ空挺部隊活動開始
カブール（イスラム・ニュース）：
18人の空挺部隊員がアル・カーイダとタリバン軍に対する新たな作戦を開始したと水曜日にアメリカ当局が発表した。
参謀副長ピーター・ピース将軍は、ヘラートの北西地域とガルデズ近くのアルガン山脈東部で最近兵士たちが大きな武器庫を発見したと話した。
米軍が発見したと主張する武器庫には、タリバンのT-54タンク5台と15,000基以上の迫撃砲、800,000発の機関銃の弾丸と600基以上のロケットと手榴弾があるということだ。

●パキスタンの大軍が北ワジルスタンに到着
ミーランシャー（サナ・ニュース/オンライン）：
軍首脳部によると、北ワジルスタンに派遣された軍隊はパキスタン-アフガニスタン国境を管理・モニターすることになっている。
兵士たちの基地はミーランシャーにある。
北ワジルスタンの地方行政機関は、アフガン難民の流入を止める為に国境を封鎖した。
境界地域沿いで行われた避難民の取締りで、アフガニスタン生まれのアメリカ市民が当局に逮捕された。
情報筋は、パキスタンの部族地域に避難民のフリをしたアル・カーイダおよびタリバンが流入するのを止めるために政府が厳しい処置をとったことを示唆した。

U.S. Airborne Division Starts Operation in Afghanistan

Kabul (Islam News):
Troops from the 18 Airborne Corps Commanders have begun a fresh operation against Al-Qaida and Taliban forces, U.S.officials declared on Wednesday.
The Vice Chief of Staff, General Peter Peace, said that soldiers recently found large ammunition stores in the north western region around Herat and in the eastern area of the Argun ranges near Gardez.
Among the weapons, claimed to have been found by troops, were five of Taliban's T-54 tanks, more than 15,000 mortar rounds, about 800,000 machine gun bullets and more than 600 rockets and grenades.

Large Number of Pakistani Armed Troops Arrive In North Waziristan

Meeranshah (Sana News/Online):
According to the military leadership, the troops sent to North Waziristan will be used to control and monitor the Pak-Afghan borders.
The soldiers have set-up their bases in Meeranshah.
The local administration agency of North Waziristan has sealed the Afghan borders in an attempt to stop the influx of Afghan refugees.
During one crackdown of refugees along the border area, an American citizen of Afghan origin was arrested by the authorities.
Sources indicate that the political administration has taken the strict measures to stop the flow of Al-Qaida and Taliban members, under the guise of refugees, in to the tribal regions of Pakistan.
