●米国当局は、アフガニスタン北東部のクナール地方での捜索活動でアル・カイーダ・メンバー5人を逮捕したと主張した。
クナール東部のアサダバッドの代表によると、米軍は金曜日の夜１軒の家を囲み、居住者に武器を置いて降伏するように迫った。
明らかにアラブ・ムジャヒディンであった居住者は、降伏を拒否し銃撃で応えた。
これらの5人のムジャヒディンのうちの3人が女性であったことが明らかにされた。そして彼女達もまた銃撃に関係していた。
結局、ムジャヒディンは（ムスリムの女性も含めて）捕えられ、投獄された。
この銃撃戦の結果、2名の地元民（男性）と役人1名が負傷したと思われる。
逮捕されたムジャヒディンの身元は明らかにされなかった。

US FORCES CLAIM TO HAVE ARRESTED FIVE ARAB MUJAHIDEEN IN KUNAR
KUNAR(Monitoring Desk):
US authorities claimed to have arrested five Al-Qaida members during a search operation in the North Eastern Afghan province of Kunar.
According to the representative of the Eastern Zone of Kunar’s capital Asadabad, US forces surrounded a house on Friday night and demanded that the residents put down their weapons and surrender.
The residents who were apparently Arab Mujahideen refused to surrender and instead defended themselves by returning fire.
It has been disclosed that three of these five Mujahideen were women, who were also involved in returning fire against US troops.
Eventually, these Mujahideen were captured and sent to jail, including the three Muslim women.
In the ensuing firefight, it is believed that two local men and one government official were injured.
The identities of these captured Mujahideen have not been disclosed.
It is believed that these men and women Mujahideen had moved to the province of Kunar as a result of heavy US bombing and attacks on the mountains of Tora Bora.
In a continuation of its war on Muslim soil, yesterday US warplanes heavily bombed the mountainous region of Shadeer, which is located in the province of Khost.
The number of losses has yet to be independently verified, although local residents in the border regions of Pakistan relate that heavy explosions were heard last night.
Local residents in Khost believe that this bombing campaign is part of the continuing operation to destroy all elements of the Taliban and Arab Mujahideen in Afghanistan.
