ハワイ沖の演習ばかりが華やかに報道されているようですが、６月のアラスカの演習など、北朝鮮からのミサイル迎撃を当然シミュレートしていたと思います。

Greely and Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA). The Army will have 231 additional PAC-3 missiles (for a total of 512)とのことですが、今回迎撃に成功したとしたら、アラスカが鍵を握っていたのではないかと思います。さらに、コロラドスプリングは警戒レベルがあがっていました。

The Army will have 231 additional PAC-3 missiles (for a total of 512). The Navy will convert the 10 Aegis Surveillance and Track Destroyers to full Engagement/Surveillance and Track, add up to five additional Aegis Surveillance and Track Destroyers, and add an additional Aegis Engagement/Surveillance and Track Cruiser. By that time the fleet will have up to 20 additional Standard Missile-3 interceptors.

軍事専門家でないのですが、情報と分析の追加資料だと思ってください。

それにしても、もし仮に演習中にあわせてその実験が成功するようにミサイルが北朝鮮からバシバシ飛んで来たとすると、言い方がアレですが、飛んで火にいる夏の虫、という言葉が頭の中をよぎりますね。

これじゃあ、まるで演習中に航空機がハイジャックされて飛び込んできた９１１やらテロ演習中に地下鉄が爆破された７７７と状況が似ているような気がしてなりません。
