1984年のサラエボで金メダルを取ったスコット･ハミルトンの弁ですが、上述のとおりと
すると、非常に痛烈です。

ここの"in other ways"は、まさにその後に続く「リンクに出ている間、息をする度に」
点がもらえると言っているのを指していて、つまりスケートをすること以外で点をもらっている
ということです。

Therefore, Kim's score can be considered inflated. I don't believe her score will ever be broken in near future. Other former skaters also mentioned as follows :

Mao's triple axel double toe is WAY more difficult than Kim's triple Lutz triple toe. She'll more than likely have a few mistakes here, but the gold medal is absolutely hers to lose."

こんな英語のサイト（アメリカ？）で2ちゃんの動きが話題になっているのにも驚きましたが、

At Skate America last year, Kim uncharacteristically crumbled in the long program, yielding to the pressure of needing to be perfect. Shaking, she stepped out of her triple toe loop, then fell on her triple flip. She lost the free skate to Rachael Flatt, the American who is in fifth here.
While it showed that Kim is not invincible, it also revealed something else: Even with big mistakes, she still is able to win. Kim, who had a 17-point lead going into the free skate, won Skate America by more than 13 points.

去年のスケート･アメリカ、ロング･プログラムでミスったり転んだりしてフリーでは
レイチェル・フラットに負けたのに、17ポイントのリードがあったので、大きなミスが
あっても13ポイント差で勝ったと。
そういう記述があって、ハミルトンの弁になります。
そして肝心の

ですが、私の訳はこうです。
彼女はきっと2、3ミスをするだろうが、金メダルは絶対に失うためにもらうだろうね。
つまりハミルトンは、「スケート以外のことで点数をもらっているヨナ・キムは
当然金メダルを取るだろうが、それは剥奪されるべきだ」と言っていると思います。
しかし、先の投稿のコメントにあった
先入観念を捨てて見比べて頂きたい。

演技の比較ができないように操作されている という感じがします。
まぁ、過去にもサッカーとかありましたが
これって日本と韓国を敵対関係にさせようというような意図が誰かから出されているのでしょうか？
スコット･ハミルトンにも見覚えがあったけど、キャンデロロもチャーミングでしたね。
ハミルトンは癌にやられて闘病生活も送ったようですが、そんなときにも
人生における唯一の障害は、態度の悪さだ
と言ったそうで、きっと個人生活においてもプロ意識の強い人なのだろうと思いました。
