As foreign tourists make their way out of Japan, some foreign residents are evacuating too — at the suggestion of their governments.
Embassies for Germany, France and Switzerland have all recommended that their citizens consider whether they really need to be in Tokyo in the wake of Friday’s deadly earthquake and tsunami in northeast Japan. The U.S. and the U.K. have recommended that people don’t travel to Japan unless they need to.

USS Ronald Reagan軍船から飛び立ったヘリコプターに乗っていた17人の海軍の乗組員には放射線が検出されたと述べられている。その他に160キロ北東の方向に離れていた船からも放射線が検出されたとのこと。

Tests detected low levels of radioactivity on 17 U.S. Navy helicopter crew members when they returned to the USS Ronald Reagan after conducting disaster relief missions in Japan, the military said Monday. No further contamination was detected after the crew members washed with soap and water, the Navy said.
In addition, the Navy said the U.S. 7th Fleet has temporarily repositioned its ships and planes away from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant after detecting low-level contamination in the air and on its planes in the area, the Navy said.
One ship was operating about 100 miles northeast of the power plant when “airborne radioactivity” was detected, the Navy said.

The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and other US Navy ships in the waters off the quake zone in eastern Japan were repositioned after the detection of a low-level radiation plume from the troubled Fukushima nuclear plant located 100 miles away.
According to 7th Fleet Commander and Spokesman Jeff Davis, the ships were moved away from the downwind direction of the plant as a precautionary measure on Sunday.

“It seems reasonable to advise those who do not have a particular reason to stay in the Tokyo region to leave the Kanto (Tokyo) region for a few days,” a statement on the French embassy website in Japan said.
“We strongly advise our nationals not to travel to Japan and we strongly recommend delaying any voyage planned,” it said.

福島原発の2号機；炉心溶融（メルトダウン）の可能性が高まってきた。マグニチュード9.0、津波の高さが12M, 死者数万人。放射能汚染。映画ではなく、現実に起こった現実である。地震の震源域が500kmX200kmに及ぶとは信じがたい。小松左京の「日本沈没」を想像した。被災者の冥福を祈りたい。
