This series impacted a great many people during its run. The research and production are incomparable, and Sutherland's superb, confiding voice makes this one of the best presentations on literature that you will find outside of prep school or university. I was frustrated to find that the series is not available anywhere on DVD, so I provide it here, for those who also remember and have since been deprived.
