神戸製鋼のデータ捏造問題は、日本での報道が少ない割に、外国では、どんどん拡大して行く。

欧州航空安全機関の勧告が出ている。

Description of facts/Background

As reported in recent media articles, Kobe Steel Ltd., a Japanese metals producer, found that their workers have, possibly over a period of many years, fabricated the inspection data on certain parts and shipped those parts, possibly not meeting the customer's specification, to a wide range of companies manufacturing a wide range of products, parts and appliances, and components.
This is a rapidly developing issue, at this time, and has not yet been fully bounded. Therefore, this SIB simply raises awareness recommending the industry (design, production, and repair) to review its supply chain for Kobe Steel products and for the appropriate competent authorities to be informed such that the potential impact upon safety can be assessed and appropriate recovery actions defined as information becomes available.
EASA is in communication with the Japanese Authorities regarding the matter and will take appropriate actions, as and when further information becomes available.
